Finally remade my Rogue bodysuit (old one had inaccurate colors and was just terribly made altogether)! I got to wear it with my ladies at Dragon*Con and we looked fabulously 90s.

First pic back from Dragon*Con! Ever since my sister introduced me to the Song of Ice and Fire series in the beginning of this series, I knew I had to cosplay one of the characters for Dragon*Con! Especially since I knew :iconyayacosplay: was hard at work on her Daenerys. Ideally, I would've liked to cosplay Arya because I identify with her character more, but I'm far too tall and old (I'm old now?!) to do her. ;_; So Sansa, ahoy!

I loved the movie "Perfect Blue" and Mima was such an easy costume to make and to wear around.

Construction notes: This costume came together easily enough, but I had a hard time at first deciding what color scheme to go with. In some scenes, the dress looks light pink with hot pink layers, but that would have been way too pink, even for me O_O. Instead I went with the promotional pictures and made the costume white and pink, with hot pink bows/red shoes. The top of the dress is boned and tailored to me, and I hand-gathered the layers to ensure they ruffled evenly and as per reference. Instead of making the garters out of the same fabric as the dress, I opted for lace, to give it more a lingerie look. The wig was interesting, as Mima's hair is so choppy in the movie. I ended up cutting and styling the hell out of a random black layered wig I found locally. I already owned the shoes, gloves and thigh highs. I got lucky and found a $5 microphone which got cut up and repainted for Mima.

I can't believe I forgot to upload a photo of Lum! Hello classic Rumiko Takahashi cosplay! I literally made this costume back in year 2002, after finding an awesome tiger print fur at Hancock Fabrics <3. The wig is actually two wigs combined to achieve a bigger anime hair look, which Rumiko always drew.

Costumes like this make me realize I am from a different generation of cosplayers. Hardly anyone even knows what character this is these days. XD I love classic anime and have plans to cosplay more currently unfamiliar characters in the future. Just watch out!

You can read about how I made this costume and see more photos on my website here [link]

Time to bring this back! Retro & 80s style! This is to one of the recent shoots I collaborated with :iconyayacosplay: It's pretty interesting to me because I have to make it futuristic but old at the same time XD So I did some research on this era. Hope you guys will enjoy the photos :D

A shoot with Yaya Han in her originally designed costume based on the manga character Miyoubi from the series Aluchino...

I really love how this one turned out! All the light treatments are from the acctual photo, not from my tinkering. :) Yay!

The light turned out rather nice in this one...although I wish there were a but more contrast on her.

Yaya Han :iconyayacosplay: is a textile artist of the highest ranking in my eyes. Herein is displayed the original art work upon which her costume is based, her description of the creation process, and, of course, the finished product as she models it.

Not enough can be said of such work. I find it simply amazing that she must operate without boundaries to produce costumes which are so minutely bounded. I am rather sure that the original artist who created such fashion gave no consideration to reality, that someone would actually attempt to make the costume "in the real world". They, too, must be properly astounded when Yaya Han pulls this sort of work off.
