So many things to say today, I need to make it shorter
At first, THANK YOU for support, people, really!
I went to the doctor on Wednesday, although I already felt better. The doctor said I probably really have salmonellosis and I am already treated for it. Smoked salmon is probably to blame - and I ate it, because I wanted to be healthy
It is not a big deal, in fact I already feel completely healthy I have no pain or stomach problems at all. I am just on a diet (I need to drink a lot of coke, mineral water, three litres of drinks in general. And I need to eat over salted rice) and take some pills. But I am ok, just a bit tired. I was warned to not underestimate this illness, so I am a good girl and I stay at home. I just encouraged myself to try to eat some soup and chicken meat - nothing bad happen, so I think I am just fine
I was probably lucky - it was likely some weak type of salmonellosis and moreover it was even weaker illness in my case. So great!
Cute and amazing animal predators - PHOTOSHello pals!Cute and amazing animal predators - PHOTOS in Personal More Like This
So finally my illness got worse - it is still just a cold, but I had to stay in a bed and I was coughing like having tuberculosis
But since today, I finally feel a bit better. I will have a little walk tomorrow and if I survive () I hope to travel to take some new photos as it is snow here now again!
I also prepared some materials as I want to self-study English. I need to improve. I know I have work to do :/ I am especially bad with prepositions and prepositional phrases. And also with the use of "to" - I am never sure if I should say "I am considered a bad person" or "I am considered TO be a bad person".
One nice thing: I do not have nightmares about my thesis anymore, so I kicked myself to write a "thank you letter" to my supervisor. I like her, she is a very skilled young teacher and I was concerned about her opinion on me. I was afraid that she would consider myself to be totally stupid because of my inability to write a good thesis. Her reply was short but ni

Muhaha, I am back from Berlin - it was AWESOME trip!
Thank you all for journey advices - we finally decided to not buy a sticker, to park our cars as close to the center as possible and to get to the hotel by underground. We in fact had no clue where to park or where to even leave a highway, but it somehow happened that we accidentaly left the car on the best place, which was really right next to the beginning of "eko" zone and just next to the tube station of the line which got us directly to the hotel. Yay!
The first thing I saw after getting out of the underground area was... CHECKPOINT CHARLIE!
One of the things I REALLY wanted to see in my life
And even our hotel was on a street, which used to be divided by Berlin wall! The remains were still lying just few metres from the hotel! Just AWESOME, AWEEEEEESSSOOMMMEEEE!
It really meant a lot for me.
I wonder if YOU know about Berlin wall and so...?
I think I will write a report about it next time

I hate that thesis SO much... I feel like total idiot, I somehow can not write it. Why?!
It is my the last attempt to complete it, if I do not finish it properly, I totally lose my chance to get my second Master degree. Which would be pretty embarassing, because not only I already have all the credits I need, I even passed the graduation exams! After so much work, it would be stupid to end without the title just because of inability to write stupid 80 pages.
Also, I wish USA a lucky hand when it comes to voting! It might be interesting, I will definitely watch US elections interesting material for a student of political science. I do not mind to share my opinion - I would vote for Obama. But I do not feel like advocating my opinion, I have no problem with those whose attitude is different

Ok, ok, ok, I am almost scared - what happaned? It seems that this site is totally empty for last week!
I wonder what caused this: Sandy? Or do Americans have some Halloween holiday so they are not online? Or... is there some secret and slow Zombie attack?
Of course dA decided to use this time to announce free shipping usually they do it before Christmas and I usually get pretty nice money from it. This time I got just few dolars, so I hope dA will repeat the action - just before X-mas as they did the last year. Because this site really seems to be empty now! as a response to a free shipping, I released Free calendar for 2013 - I think I have never had so few faves, views and downloads on it. What a pity, what a bad time
I know about Sandy, it was covered by Czech media a lot
Poor people, I hope everything will be fixed as soon as possible. I did not know it affected so many people
You also know I asked you to vote for Allerlei's photo - thank you

I went to my beloved ZOO Olomouc to photograph animals yesterday - I needed a break from the thesis writing.
I spent hour or maybe more with my favourite wolf subspecies - Iberian wolves. They were very active and even aggresive, snapping their jaws and snarrling a lot. One of them tried to catch a crazy rodent. It was fun and I got many photos for you
But the bad news - fennec fox got a new light in their enclosure. It is a red light and it TOTALLY does not allow you to photograph, because the specific light ruins the texture of the animal's fur and there is no chance to get any photo I am sad about it, I loved this place for fennec photography now it has been lost... in ZOO Dvur Kralove, they put those foxes into very dark indoor exhibit, so this place is also lost and in Prague, you never see them... Hm... I am a bit sad about it, I would miss those little guys
I also definitely need a new lens. My current one had troubles to focuse yesterday and I could not take a s
Strange dA people + ZOO in autumn - PHOTOSHi!Strange dA people + ZOO in autumn - PHOTOS in Personal More Like This
I got all scared and hysterical that I waisted all sunny autumn days so I have no chance to take any wolf photos with colourful background this year. So when the sun made it to shine through the clowds today, I ran to the ZOO to take some shots. Well, the leaves are still on the branches and nicely golden, so I have some autumn shots in stock again the foxes and wolves are fluffy again, but both of those species were sleepy - I had to wait a lot before wolves decided to move a bit. You might say it is a deal of photographers, but it is something unusual, local wolves tend to have only short moments without activity. Both alpha and beta female seem to be very tired and thin, but at least they seem to have some grown fur I hope they will manage to survive the winter, but it is really a sad sight. Atila, on the other side, is fluffy white pillow as usual, and again his own pups made him feel very uneasy. He is so cute.

I am tired and totally desperate about the job. I can not even write about it. Everything is just so wrong. You have no chance to achive the results (I am absolutely sure it is a purpose), but you are paid for results. And we have the lowest possible salary. The atmosphere in the work? Let's say that senior officer bought too expensive printer, which needs very expensive colours (what a choice, heh?). But he forbid my colleague to buy original colours for this office's printer. He said that she has to buy non-original, much cheaper colours for this printer it means a risk, that this expensive printer might be damaged by those non-original colours. But he said that it is my COLLEAGUE, who would be responsible for possible damage of the printer!!!!!!!!!!!!
And THIS goes day by day, every day there is some similar disgusting trouble.

Because when you are told to remove a famous google wallpaper you posted as your deviation (which is forbidden by dA), there is nothing better than to go to an account of a person who told you to remove it. And yeah, the best thing you can do is to tell THAT person, that you saw HER art posted long time before she posted it. Although it is total lie and bullshit.

I I always thought of Thoreau’s comment as simply a word game — clever but ultimately false at its core. A Valentines Day without a Valentine means being alone and alone means being unhappy. It’s taken many years to finally understand the truth in Thoreau’s words. We are never so alone as when in the company of loving family and friends, our Valentine companion held tight in our arms – but knowing we are lost, unfulfilled in our dreams and visions, and untrusting in our own inner counsel. Season finale thoughts.Season finale?Season finale thoughts. in Personal More Like This
I loved it.
The FiM team is amazing, and I am consistently impressed with the work they do on each episode.
I marvel at the believability they breathe into the world and the characters. From the writing to the music to the animation. Each component is seriously and thoughtfully composed... The emotions of the characters feel genuine, and because the characters take themselves seriously, the viewers connect with them.
Cartoons/animations/comics have immense power... and it makes me so happy to see a cartoon that finally takes that power seriously. Most people dismiss the idea of cartoons being serious, and that is a tragic mistake... Cartoons are symbolic in their expression, and the more "simple" they are, the more symbolic they may become. My Little Pony is the perfect example of this. The designs are simple, but the symbolism is rich with meaning and substance (because the creators care). This is why it is a good show.
Children deserve to be taken serious

My resolution this year is going to be: to balance myself
Spontaneously, I feel like writing. So here's a story.
In 2011, I was on the right track. On the way to being more centered--I was feeling good and I was accomplishing a lot (mentally and artistically). But then towards the end of the year, things got shitty... I put myself in a bad situation (the kind I didn't know exactly how to respond to)... and as a result things spiraled out of control.
In a nutshell: I lost my sense of self.
January 2012? All the mental [and spiritual] progress I had made up until that point seemingly vanished. I felt like I didn't know myself anymore--I felt as though I had betrayed my self-confidence. Depression inevitably drowned me. My health suffered. I went from 120lb to 109lbs--which made everything worse. Ill body, ill mind...
I disconnected from everything.

I've been working my ponytail off getting ready for this convention for the past five months (drawing, painting, printing, prepping, and everything else in-between). I was scared I was going to mess something up, or forget something important...
But you know what? You pony people are totally awesome--and I felt better in no time at all. Seriously.

Calm the fuck down.
He's going to be back. The lack of exposition confirms this.
When Cadance's magic shield sliced off his horn, we saw the severed horn piece act on its own (melting into the ground). Later we saw Sombra repair his horn completely. What has been established? That Sombra can regenerate (his horn anyways).
What happened the last moment we saw Sombra? He got obliterated into shards by the crystal heart magicyness... and we saw his horn (intact) fly away (towards the viewer).
He'll be back.
Besides, the episode wasn't about Sombra. It was about Twilight Sparkle.
What happened at the end? Twilight was allowed to advance in her studies. Celestia and Luna are preparing her for bigger, badder, showdown that has yet to happen.
My guess is that we're going to see a winged Twilight at the end of this season.

"BAWWWW, NOW SHE'S A PRINCESS!"
"BAAAAWW, NOW SHE HAS WINGS!"
"BAAWWW, I DON'T LIKE CHANGE!"
Fuck! Grow up.
My Little Pony was, and always has been, a cartoon made to sell toys. IT'S A GIANT COMMERCIAL. That is the entire reason it exists—GET OVER IT. Nevertheless, the writers do a damn good job working in all of Hasbro's marketing desires.
Besides, it was completely expected. For instance: A decent bit of FiM pulls inspiration from Sailor Moon. Annnnd guess what? Sailor Moon was a princess—who periodically "leveled up" and got things like wings.
Also, princesses are a marketing trend right now—of course Hasbro is going to cash in on that.

No doubt you’ve all seen or heard the hullabaloo around Ye Olde Intertubes in the days and weeks following our beloved Derpy’s named appearance in the FIM episode The Last Roundup. What began as a campaign by trolls wreak havoc was soon picked up by well-meaning-but-misguided bronies and fans. The controversy stems from the mistaken belief that the word “derpy” is synonymous with mentally challenged. Obviously, it’s not. Rather it means clutzy or accident prone. Further, fans maintained that her slightly-husky voice in the episode was an attempt to mock people with learning disabilities. Again, untrue. Voiced by actor Tabitha St. Germain, Derpy was mistakenly thought to be a boy pony and was based on a young boy who lives next door to Ms. St. Germain.
This tempest in a teapot stirred up around the fandom has now exploded into what seems to be a PR-pushback by Hasbro.

The folks over at We Love Fine tee shirts were kind enough to buy a few designs from your humble narrator! Now available for purchase are Hipster Trixie and Derpy 209 tee shirts! Hi everyone and everypony! I’m finding it difficult to believe that in less than a week we’ll be waist deep in the Friendship is Magic season finale. It seems like just the other day we were fangasming over the season premier. Now, here we are, 24 episodes down and but a pair remain. This season has been amazing. So much more than any of us really expected. The return of Luna, tons of Derpy, Lyra and Bon Bon hanging out, an unexpected Trixie shout-out, Dragons, more griffins, Time Travel, masked crusaders, self-help minotaurs, and plenty of incontrovertible proof that all the ponies in this town really ARE are crazy.
It’s been a brilliant season and a wonderful experience. We’re awash in conventions and gatherings; we have show-accurate toys and favorite background characters to look forward to. Derpy’s name was spoken and she was given voice.

So for now, no more calls or emails. Let's have faith they are going to do right by us. Now, more than ever before, the powers-that-be are aware of the size and buying power of our community. The absolute best thing you can do to get into animation as a career is to go to art school. Saturday mornings are super again. Harkening back to the glory days the 1970s and '80s when kids got their weekends going with Super Friends and School House Rock, Cartoon Network is launching DC Nation, a programming block that showcases the heroes of the DC Comics library. Anchoring the hour will be the CGI show Green Lantern: The Animated Series (10am/9c) and the continuation of the first season of Young Justice (10:30am/9:30c). Scattered Throughout the hour are animated shorts and interstitials with news and vignettes from around the DC universe.
Though some of the shorts feature big names like Superman and Batman, many will put the spotlight on "characters we've always wanted to see animated, but that might not be able to support a whole series," says Peter Giardi, senior vice president at Warner Bros. Animation, which is coordinating the block. Among the second-tier characters featured are Black Lightenin
The Derpy Issue Part 3Seems like I need to clarify a couple things for people. If you don't know what the hullabaloo is all about, please read through the next couple paragraphs. If you're already caught up to the situation please skip to the second half. The Derpy Issue Part 3 in Personal More Like This
In the first season of Friendship is Magic, an animation mistake rendered a background pony with "derpy" eyes. The producers thought it was cute and left it in, occasionally sticking the pony in various scenes. While many people liked calling her Ditzy Doo (based on a remark made in Winter Round Up), the general internet population started calling her Derpy Hooves. Derpy became such a huge phenomenon online that the producers decided to include her in more episodes for Season 2. In Season 2 she started appearing more up close and doing strange things in the backgrounds, making for a fun game of "where's waldo" for the fans. The capper to all this was when Derpy got a speaking role in an episode and was referred to AS Derpy by Rainbow
Battleship (the movie)I didn't get to see Battleship in theaters, but I heard all the aftermath of it. The endless memes making fun of the fact they shoehorned in Aliens, the criticism that the aliens were just weird looking humans, the fact that it's based on a board game... I heard all of that before I saw the movie, and I anticipated that I was gonna hate it.Battleship (the movie) in Personal More Like This
But you know what? It's actually a lot of fun. The action is intense, the special effects are top notch, the acting isn't too corny or eye-rolling, and it pretty much delivers on everything that you'd expect a board game inspired movie would feature.
What I liked most was how the special effects were actually on display. It wasn't like Transformers where you can never tell what the eff is going on. While there are some odd camera zooms during the action, the action itself is always framed in such a way that you can tell what's going on at all times. I like action movies like that. I hate action movies that utilize shaky cams and rapid cutting to giv

Trying to figure out the Zelda timeline has been a geek pastime for decades, and it's only been made more desirable thanks to Nintendo releasing cryptic responses of both "yes we have one" to "no we don't" over the years. With the caveat that this might all be bunk because it's too early to tell just yet, here is how Nintendo sees the Zelda timeline: http://wii.ign.com/articles/121/1215301p1.html
First up you need to understand one thing... there IS a split in the timeline thanks to Ocarina of Time. Yes the split timeline theory IS correct... sort of. Hot Topic DA Art Theft...Maybe?Changed User AgreementsHot Topic DA Art Theft...Maybe? in Personal More Like This
You know what I hate about companies? The fact that they can, effectively, take their user agreements and update them without your consent. Thus changing the rules to something you’ve already signed long long ago. I signed up for DA 10 years ago but I’ve never once been asked to agree to the frequently new Terms of Service Agreements they keep updating.
Recently it’s been called to our attention that now DA can license your work, even fanart, off to other companies for a profit. DA gets licensing money, the product makers get money off the merch they sell... but the artist gets nothing. Worse yet, DA doesn’t even need to ask you for permission to do so.
This recently came to our attention in a big way when DA user :iconrismo: discovered that his Adventure Time fanart was being sold on Hot Topic without his knowledge. http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/Adventure+Time+In+The+Rain+T-Shirt-10171581.jsp

Wounds, bruises, and blood gush out the more you beat her up in this virtual game, and it's drawn some widespread attention.
Whether you agree with her viewpoint is not the issue, it's the fact that this retaliation is just "wrong" on so many levels. Do these people realize that what they're doing is shooting themselves in the foot? Making a video game where you beat up someone who's making

So, since this is the internet, I’m gonna respond to this video interjecting whenever I hear something I agree or disagree with.
1. I agree that we should separate Other M Samus from the rest of cannon based on the fact that it was conceived over a retcon of the character.
2. I agree that a lot of the hatred for Other M Samus came from her BADLY localized English translation and voice acting. I’ve stated many times that if the game had been left in Japanese with English subtitles, I sincerely doubt as many people would’ve had a problem with her “monologuing” than they do with the English version.

Sony is teasing something big to be announced at the end of February and everyone is naturally speculating that it's probably the announcement of the PS4. If this is true, it'll definitely be a shock to me since Sony never announces new consoles or hardware before E3. Only Nintendo seems to relish in announcing things with a blatant disregard of conventionality, so it would be very unique of Sony to do the same and announce a new console WELL before E3. Of c
Hardcore MEH over Wii-U?As I've said before, one of the things I was looking forward to seeing this E3 was how so-called "hardcore" fanboys will find even more ridiculous ways to dismiss anything Nintendo showcases because they're "too mature" to enjoy something all-age friendly.Hardcore MEH over Wii-U? in Personal More Like This
Finally Nintendo comes right out and gives pretty much every hardcore gamer exactly what they want, and in return all they get is snarky blog posts, dismissive attitudes, and cries of "foul" if anything casual shows up on the screen. Am I the only one noticing this?
First, hardcore gamers seem to be completely blind when it comes to titles that interest them, instead choosing to bitch and moan about casual games that aren't for their demographic. Listen up, geniuses, if the Kinect and Move haven't opened your eyes up yet, casual gaming is now a viable market whether you like it or not. It's OK to have more than one demographic represented, especially when it's advertising for a brand new console.

The bad one is that I don't like what some parts look like anymore. It's choppy.. square.. lipsynch sucks in some areas and Luna's puppet is a gumbo that needs to be addressed. In other words, it's nowhere near the quality that I gave for the documentary and is NOT a good representation of what I can do anymore.

When will Children of the Night be finished?
