Thane looked from the rings and down, feeling his pockets. "W-where did you find
those?" His voice quivered.
"On the floor this morning. I came in here to get some feminine... items, and I
came across them." Elle explained, expecting Thane to be aggravated. He said nothing,
however. He only nodded. She would not be so cruel as to bribe answers out of him, so she
held the chain out to him. He reached out and took the rings from her, holding them
tenderly in the palm of his hand. "You were married?" She asked gently.

Thane and Tovi were closing in, ready to grab Elle the moment she was within
reach. Thane stayed focused, hoping beyond hope that they wouldn't cause too much ruckus
to wake Iedra up.

At dusk, Mias jolted from his slumber when his body sensed the carriage coming to
a halt. The horses were snorting and lightly stomping the ground, ready for their next
task. Mias leaned over to look out the window and take in his surroundings. What he

Elle awoke on the stone floor by the door. She had stayed there through the night
until her body forced her to sleep. Her muscles were sore and tight, begging for a more
