This artist really make me feel happy and fluffy on the inside, her world and characters are so surprisingly detailed and complex yet she keeps them simple, i have seen a detailed evolution on her drawings and technique, especially on the digital side; colors, composition and ideas have got a great improve on this year, i really hope she doesn´t give up on through the study and improvement on her technique.
I have had long afternoons of talk about this topic, but the only advice i can give to her, and to everybody really, is that you got to keep drawing and drawing till you get the feeling of content in your heart, drawing and waiting for the critiques from others can be really cruel and fruitless, one or a thousand favs doesn´t say anything if you are drawing what everyone is wishing or expecting from you, keeping your art true and loyal to yourself (a.k.a. giving birth to a style) is one

I should’ve updated my last journal right away when I found out that Aonuma was just trolling with the whole “was that really Link or not?” comment... On one side I’ve been getting inundated with people pointing out how “wrong” I was in the journal (despite the journal clearly coming out BEFORE he clarified his statement), and on the other side maintaining the concept that maybe it wasn’t Link has kept some fans a little TOO hopeful for the idea of a female Link or even that maybe it was him and Zelda’s daughter.
Sorry guys, but that actually WAS Link. I’m pretty disappointed in that, honestly, but I gotta try to be positive and not let this one set back discourage me. On the bright side so many people were “trending” about how much they’d love to see a female Link, that I think Nintendo finally took notice and realized it’s not just a deviant fan fantasy.

Ubisoft apologized for a lack of diversity in their games. They then vowed to try and diversify for future games. http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/135500-Ubisoft-CEO-Says-Company-Will-Work-to-Extend-Diversity
See guys? THIS is when all that “social justice warrioring” bullshit pays off. Yes it’s kinda annoying that everyone was bitching about Ubisoft (myself included) for the past week or so... but guess what? All that bitching actually ACHIEVED something! Companies take their reputations very seriously, and noticing that they were getting a lot of shitty press means they’ll work very hard towards turning that around because no company likes to be known as the worse of anything (with the possible exception of EA).
This is also the sort of thing that I think raising a hissy fit on the internet actually works. A lot of people like to say “let the m

For us, the future comes in the form of Xbox One, a system designed to be the best place to play games this year and for many years to come. As is our heritage with Xbox, we designed a system that could take full advantage of advances in technology in order to deliver a breakthrough in game play and entertainment. We imagined a new set of benefits such as easier roaming, family sharing, and new ways to try and buy games. We believe in the benefits of a connected, digital future.

One Myth I Wish I Could Dispel"Feminism means you can't like sexy things"One Myth I Wish I Could Dispel in Personal More Like This
After doing a series of comics standing up for women's rights, there's a lot of really negative rumors going on around me right now. Most of which point to the hypocrisy that I use to draw fetish artwork and that recently I made pin-ups that were "sexy" in nature. Because, of course, if you're an artist who stands up for women's rights from that moment on you're not allowed to EVER draw women in a way that might be construed as potentially "sexy," lest you be labeled a hypocrite.
As I've mentioned before in previous journals, I really can't stand this mentality the internet has of polarizing extremes. You've always gotta be in one extreme or you're in the other. There's never the possibility that you could be in the middle like, you know, a normal person would be.
I understand why that is: it's easier to point out fallacies and bitch and whine about people when they fit into nice neat black and white spec
Tired of the Video Game IndustryWith the PS4 on the way, the gaming industry is alive once again reminding us how dull and boring and... wrong... it is. Here's a quick summary of some of the things I'm sick to death of hearing about when it comes to video games.Tired of the Video Game Industry in Personal More Like This
Polygones = Emotion
I'm sure you've all seen the jokes, but this one stems from David Cage, who gushed over the tech demo of an old man's face for the PS4, remarking about how the only way to get "true" emotion is by bridging the uncanny valley with high resolution models, hi-def textures, and realistic shaders. "True emotion" of course can't be found in books, TV, or cartoons because none of those things can depict the exquisite details of a wrinkled face in true HD glory. I'm sorry to say this, David Cage, but if I can get an emotional response out of 16-bit pixel sprites from Chrono Trigger, or a pictureless book... your logic is faulty.
I'm really getting tired of everything wanting to connect to everything else. I know

Before anybody gets upset (like one jerk on Twitter did), keep in mind the scope of this production: This is not a fanmade comic as some seem to think it is: This is a fully licensed comic book from a major Comic publisher done in cooperation with Hasbro. It is also one of the most highly anticipated comics for the entire fall/winter schedule. As such, we'd rather do it well than do it fast.
The orders for this book have far exceeded what was first anticipated, so a little more padding in the schedule is going to help to ensure the product can meet the demand
I also want to remind everyone: I am NOT The distributor/publisher... I just draw it. You cannot purchase the book directly from me. Here's some ground I've covered a number of times, but I keep getting asked... so here we go:
1. WHERE IS IT SOLD? This will be sold along all the other comics
About Alicorn Twilight (and Recent comments)Well, here's the scoop-About Alicorn Twilight (and Recent comments) in Personal More Like This
Get used to it, because she's here to stay. And not just in the show.
We're introducing the updated version of season three's Twilight Sparkle into the comics as well.
We're asked about 5th person at our tables: "what do you think?" "Why did they do that?" "Are you gonna.." etc.
Since we work hand in hand with Hasbro, we never had any intention of NOT updating Twilight for the books as well.
And quite frankly... we are all about it!
Neither Katie Cook nor myself understand the hatred going on for having Twilight become a princess. Katie has made an outstanding point- Twilight may be the only popular character to have EARNED her crown... she worked for it, suffered for it, and it was awarded. She didn't marry into it, wasn't born into it (Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Jasmine, etc etc). That gives little girls a character that WORKED FOR WHAT SHE EARNED. One helluva example I think. And for Katie, with a little girl and another on the way... that's a great t

on another note, there have been a LOT of questions... I'll try to give a blanket coverage here to what I can.
First, I cannot give you sneak peeks. Sorry, but waiting is part of the game and half the fun! When IDW and Hasbro give a thumbs up, it will come here first!
Second: Yes, these are original stories (no, I'm not gonna tell you what it is yet!), not adaptations of existing episodes. This gives us the chance to do things that maybe couldn't be done in an episode due to time restriction or other limitations! The target audience is the exact same as the show, meaning it will be great for kids and adults alike. We know what a major fa

I believe that Minecraft is the future of massive multiplayer games, and I'm surprised that none of the big developers/publishers have cottoned onto it yet.
They look at Minecraft and think its success is down to its business model, or to its blocky, retro charm.
It's down to the fact that you get out of it what you put into it.
With a MMORPG, there are pre-scripted quests. With Minecraft, you set the quests yourself or others.
User created content is the key. All you have to do is provide the players with the tools to build.
There are two types of gamer: wall builders and wall breakers.
Wall builders are the ones that spend an age in an RTS game getting their base just right. They play SimCity and act as Dungeon Master during an RPG.
Wall breakers are the type to follow the mission brief. They get set a quest and they follow it. They're the Call of Duty crowd and they're never more happy than when

Sexy Art, the future of it.I'm just thinking about a few things right now. This journal is mainly about me drawing sexy art, and thinking about what would happen if I begin to draw it less often. Of course, you'd get a reaction to that statement. But let's make it clear, I do like to draw sexy art sometimes. Many people do admire the way I draw, which I'm very thankful for. Generally, the highest level I'm most comfortable with is drawing a female in a bikini, whether being in a front or back pose. Looking back at my older art... I'm mixed on these results. There are some I feel I did a pretty good job on, and others I feel embarrassed for doing because they are either too suggestive (like, breasts and booty look insanely too large), or it just doesn't look right to me. Most of you already know, but for those who don't, I'll never show full nudity here. This may be ironic to some since I can have a dirty mind, but the
