Done, done, done! I still have some fine tuning to do-- most likely touching up on the jewels, but that can wait. It's amazing I kept my sanity the whole time-- what's left of it that is.

I have not added anything to my portfolio since November of last year so I thought I'd do something challenging and worth the break I took from my portfolio. Hope you guys like it.

So this is totally going to bite me in the ass. I have been awake since yesterday at 10:30 am. I can't go to bed now or I won't sleep tonight which I need to because I have a long day at work tomorrow.

On the bright side-- look at what I finished! This is the beautiful Estonian model Carmen Kass. Don't you just love her bored expression? Plus her neck is obscenely long and I find that very attractive on a woman.

Inspired by my favorite movie of all time-- Edward Scissorhands. I used to watch this movie at least once a day every single day for over a year at one point. You can't go wrong with Johnny Depp.. I love him!

Lots of stippling for his textured skin. I chose this photo because of all the texture and I wanted to capture the sense of innocence in his eyes and his vulnerable expression.

She is such a pretty lady and she wears very good gloves, I had to draw her :la:

Materials this time:
A4 Mellotex (the drawing is about 8"x9")
Graphite (2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B)
Blue Tac
Eraser
Gel Pen
Time: About 12 hours
Ref - I actually don't know who this is or where I found it, but courtesy of tineye it is here www.verycd.com/topics/2869714/

Thank you for looking

WIP - Details -

A LITTLE NOTE AND SOME INFO - I've had several people ask how I got the black so black, I actually get this question all the time, so I thought if I did it in a video it might be a good idea :) The video isn't the best, but you can see what's going on, it was a livestream so it stops and starts a little bit :( I'm redrawing part of the left side glove. The pencils I used were, in this order, 2H, 2B, 4B and 6B.

It's finally finished :happybounce:

This is a commissioned drawing and the remit was to do a repro of this section of The Last Supper in graphite with Jesus in colour.

I said this in the WIPs, this is sooo not my style and it wouldn't have looked good on my usual paper (it's far too white and smooth), so all in all it was a challenge from start to finish. It was a good challenge though and I enjoyed it :)

Materials this time:
A3 Hahnemuhle Nostalgie
Graphite - 4H -5B
FC Polychromos
Blue-Tac
Erasers
Frisket Film (not recommended for this paper)
Time: At a guess, 25-30 Hours
Ref: One of a million found on a google search of TLS

There are some WIPs here -

Thank you very much for having a look

UPDATE: I'm so sorry for hitting your inbox with this one again, but as I said below, my scanner sucks and I lost a load of details. But Ariel has her now and scanned her for me and it's soooo much better :happybounce: You can see the details in her face and hair now :) Thank you Ariel

I'm finally almost finished with my prizes, just one more ATC to go

This one is for :iconarielrgh: for catching my 50K kiriban. I hope you like it :fingerscrossed: The scan has wiped out some of the darkness and details because of the high contrast :( But thankfully Ariel you'll get to see them in the flesh :)

Materials for this one:
Very slightly smaller than A4 - Mellotex
Graphite
Blue Tac
Tortillion
Tissue
Eraser
Time: About 18 hours
Ref: I was kindly given permission from *May-Machin to draw this image of Ariel's choice fav.me/d1x7ai0

Many thanks for having a look

Pencil drawing after a photo from kayleighjune
Big thanks to her for allowing the use of her photo as a ref

Ref: [link]

Did try to work more spontaneous on this on (rust on the car, foliage, folds on the dress etc), with mixed results...

overall i'm happy with this, but I'm not very good with foliage, as i don't (yet) have a very good understanding of it (structure etc) so the leafs got more blurry then i intended, and the grass/ground...well, i guess practice is much needed :/

Drawing is about a3 in size and i have basically used a b2 mech. pencil with the occasional b3 for further shading and b8 +f (for burnishing) for some of the darkest parts

Heo Young Saeng," the shy Prince" is the member of SS501. One of my fave K-pop groups.♥

He's not my fav member, but my friends, so this is for her. Life's been bitch for her lately, so I wish to cheer her up. I'm giving this drawing for her, hopefully a rose from Prince can bring the smile on her face.

Eep, someday I must draw MY favorite member!!!!♥♥ :iconlawooplz:

I'm mad cuz the scanner killed the highlights from his hair. :icondoublefacepalmplz:
