I'm not entirely sure whether I should be holding faith...
Whether it should be the strength to change,
Or whether it be the stronger impact on my chest when dreams are shattered yet again
Perhaps, I shall forever wander aimlessly to find my next targets to claw these filthy nails into
It all be brokenly cold, frost-bitten.
Like a single droplet of exposure inflicting so brutal damage upon the human heart
Yet 'the human heart' would be use of an incorrect term
For I am not that pure-hearted human that all expect out of such
No... I'm just that foolish, blind demon with poison running through my veins
The one that lies within a flawlessly locked cage of boundary
Restrained with sharp-rust chains painfully digging into bleeding wounds
Within deep, deep murky-grey waters of pitiful memories
So this be my remote sanctuary
Just where I belong

The 'blind, young girl' to many was just like any little factor in life, hidden amongst all else only to be unnoticed and unheard of, as if her presence wasn't actually present.
A shadow, if you like.
No one really notices those shades until you finally recover all of what's hidden and actually set focus upon such.
Unless a shade, you are then, perhaps, what's left of the cleanup is now projected into your direction.
Yet day in and day out, the young girl would set herself up on scheduled tasks, strictly following the same routine. But then again, there would be the rare occasion of force ejection out into the open. And out in the open is where many are vulnerable to such exposure battles, brutality, bloodshed
In some time, somehow that rare occasion had turned into an occasion.
An occasion turned into a party.
A party turned into festival.
And a festival turned into a malicious piece of frustration, let's say.

She couldn't believe Kiba was making them trek through this swamp.
Kiba was still following the scent of the tainted Lunar Flowers.

She had picked up the wolf's scent after they left Kurious, and she could also smell it very faintly in this swamp.

Sunshine spilled onto the viridian lawn as the morning sun crested over the battlements of the old castle, causing the dew still clinging to the blades to sparkle before evaporating. Twilight trotted down the steps from the south doors to enjoy a leisurely morning stroll through the gardens, as she used to do in days gone by when she recovered from being upset.
Predictably, Princess Celestia had not been there when she had awakened, nor was she down at breakfast in the royal dining room. An invitation to eat there was a lifetime affair, and it was far better than sitting with the rest of the staff awkwardly in her usual corner table while not talking to any pony. She might have learned how to make friends, but that did not stop the castle staff from being just a little skittish around her, being the personal student to a living goddess and all.
The mare looked at her surroundings as she walked, flashing back to her fight with the queen tyrant occasionally when a bush or

The Pool of Midnight
A single light flickered in the encompassing blackness of the night, like an oasis of sight in a desert of blindness. Its soft orange glow bathed the small room, in defiance of the late hour. Luna's moon hung in the sky, so high that it could not be seen from the windows. However, this would not deter the soul who worked through the midnight hour, her owl's quill roughly scratching on parchment.
Indeed, it was rough work translating the book in front of her, but with every word salvaged from the fog of Old Equestrian, she found a rekindled passion for the work she started earlier that day. Twilight Sparkle had happened across the tome in question while sifting through the books that still laid under the floorboards of the Books and Branches Library. Granted, she was out of practice with the language, but with some concentration, she could tell it wa

The sound of flapping wings drowned out the oppressive silence as the two mares trudged through the thicket of the ethereal forest. In a way, it was therapeutic for her to hear the familiar sound so close to her; to know that she had a friend who still earnestly cared about her. But... it also reminded her of something far more sinister and recent, something that still haunted her waking thoughts if she let them dawdle from what needed to be done.
"Let's see how she likes the Brazen Bull," cackled the phantom voice of a griffon, followed by her own pained screams of wreathing agony, turned into the snorts and grunts of a bull by the complex series of pipes. It was almost enough to make her stomach turn over... almost.
As much as she wanted to deny herself, as much as it would hurt to do so, she could not ignore the fact that, in those hours of merciless torture, a piece of her had d

Cracks and snaps sounded quietly in defiance of the thick tension that permeated the air. The familiar dance of tongues of flame flashed against stone and wood alike, the thin extensions twisting and twirling before detaching from the body of fire and evaporating from existence. She could very well have sat there and eyed the tiny expression of both destruction and creation for hours and never get bored. However, a particularly loud snap brought her to her senses.
Soft, sad music accompanied the crackle of the flames; the brass sedated, yet powerful as a pony sang a haunting melody of tragedy and loss. She sympathised with the long-dead stallion. Soon after, the strings, led by a piano, took the lead from the brass and pounding rhythm section.

In the blink of an eye, the early morn had turned into the end of evening. At least, that is what it felt like to the mare as she trudged through mud and brush with no discrimination. She hoped they would be upon the edge of the forest soon, for it had been a long day of physical exertion and no rest for food or water. She was running solely on her excitement at having almost acquired the biggest bounty of her career.
Twilight Sparkle walked obediently behind the bounty hunter as the sun began to set once more below the horizon. She wore a Mithril bracelet on each leg and one on her horn: an inescapable situation for any unicorn, including the one she was being marched to that very instant. Sunset - Chapter 1: Dawn A dark and stormy night: the perfect time to tamper with the universe's laws. Or so Celestia thought to herself. She couldn't explain why, despite her long years, but something just felt... right... about the whole thing. Maybe years of loneliness had finally driven her off the deep end? No, she was still quite sane. It wasn't like she was totally alone either. Later the next day, a curious sight presented itself to anypony who looked up into the early afternoon sky over Ponyville. It was a massive sphere with tiny wings, bobbing up and down on an erratic flight path across the breadth of the town. "Twilight?" Trixie called as she stood outside of the library, just about to go out with the others and enjoy a picnic in the park. "What the Sorrel Hells is THAT thing?"
The purple mare stepped outside and squinted her eyes to cut through the glare, trained on the object the blue unicorn pointed to. "That's Derpy Hooves. She's a mailpony and it's not very nice to call her a thing... unless you're talking about the object she's carrying."

Clash of the Heavenly Titans Canterlot: the crown jewel of Equestria. To most ponies, it stood as a monument to the achievements of generations past, and to others it represented the regal beauty of the monarchs it housed. A filly he would meet again years later.
"Whoa," yelped the orange filly.
"Oh I'm sorry," Caramel said quickly forgetting his ball being worried for the filly he ran into. He knelt over and helped her back to her hooves. When he saw her, he was stunned by how pretty she was. Her hair was a bit exaggerated but she had the most beautiful and honest green eyes he ever saw. All he could was stare.
"Oh don't ya'll worry none," Applejack said. 'Shoot say it right,' she scolded herself. "I mean," She said quietly, "That is quite alright. Accidents do happen you know." She gave him a warm smile.
Caramel shook his head, "Why are you talking differently?"
"Why I am certain I have no idea what
Rainbow's Best Cheerer"Um, is it ready?" Fluttershy was pacing anxiously around Rarity's sewing room eagerly waiting her surprise for Rainbow Dash to be finished.Rainbow's Best Cheerer in Short Stories More Like This
The white unicorn could only laugh, "Almost finished. You still have yet to tell me why you need such a gaudy thing."
Fluttershy looked down slightly embarrassed, "well, my cheering is too weak, so I thought if Rainbow Dash could see how much I support her it would make up for it."
"Well, given the thought you put into this, I'm certain she will appreciate it." Rarity continued to sew and then after a few minutes, "there, it is finally finished."
"Yay," Fluttershy hugged Rarity, "thank you very much. I can't wait to show Rainbow." She packed the items into her saddlebags and made her way out of the boutique. On her way out she passed Sweetie Belle, "how are your plans coming along, Sweetie Belle?"
The white unicorn filly looked up from her coloring, "oh, hi Fluttershy. I think the girls and I have run out of ideas for what to do in search for our
Dinner Date pt 2Fluttershy was waiting at the square and noticed some ponies giving her odd glances. A few times, she would see a young filly or colt and she would smile warmly to them and their parents would quicken their pace to get away from her. 'Why are they looking at me like that,' she wondered, but couldn't give it much more thought since an orange blur nearly knocked into her.Dinner Date pt 2 in Short Stories More Like This
"Sorry Fluttershy," Scootaloo said, "I was trying a new trick on my scooter. Hopefully, I can get it right and impress Rainbow Dash!"
Fluttershy giggled and when she saw the annoyed look on Scootaloo's face she said, "I remember when I wanted to be just like Rainbow."
"Really? Aren't you older than her?"
"Yes, but I was always impressed with her bravery and ability. After a while, I decided that I will never be like her so I just chose to be myself."
"Well, I'm gonna be just like Rainbow!"
"And what's wrong with being Scootaloo?"

"I do not need you to remind me of that Agent Pie," Detective Smoke said with some annoyance.
"Then please tell me why there are archers up there?" Special Agent Diane Pie of the Equestria Bureau of Investigation, FFF branch, pointed up to a series of clouds upon which sat several pegasi poised with crossbows, all aimed at the small home.
"I assure you Agent Pie that I have no intention of opening fire unless Fluttershy leaves me no other option, and from what I have read in her file I might have to."
A gasp escaped the group of ponies and it was Spike that spoke up, "What do you mean 'her file'?"
"I'm certain that you are aware of her 'incident' during the Grand Galloping Gala, where she rampaged throughout the Royal Gardens and then again in the ballroom. Well, given her past outbursts of aggression and her newfound tendency towards violence, we have a duty to protect the citizens here. If she forces my hoof then I wi

The young filly slowly made her way down the stairs and was cowering with every step. She had never seen her sister this angry before, and she was terrified.
"What were you thinking? Ya ruined mah dress. Rarity's gonna kill me." Applejack turned her gaze to her baby sister and was stunned to see the filly cowering at the foot of the stairs crying. She suddenly felt disgusted with herself, "Applebloom. C'mere."
The filly just stood there shaking like a leaf, "I'm sorry sis." She could not bring herself to get close to her sister.
"Ah'm sorry, sugarcube. I shouldn' have yelled at ya like that." Applejack walked to her sister and gently hugged the filly.
Applebloom continued to cry, "Scootaloo wanted to practice on a dress, an' ah thought ya wouldn't care if we used it." She looked up to her sister, "Ah'm really sorry. Ah'll take it to Rarity and tell her what happened."

Surprise PartyJust one last tree and this row will be done. Applejack lifted her rear legs and gave the apple tree a buck causing apples to fall into the buckets. She smiled as she looked over the orchard of her home, Sweet Apple Acres. There was still much more work to do, and the sun was about to set. 'I best not get myself too far behind,' Applejack thought. She gathered the few stray apples that missed the buckets and loaded the buckets onto the cart.Surprise Party in Short Stories More Like This
Those buckets were heavy. It made her mad that her big brother, Big Macintosh, could carry three full buckets on his back, while she could only manage one at a time. 'Not today big brother.' She grunted in exertion and managed to get two buckets on her back. She strained to stand and walked slowly to the cart. She began to slow down due to the weight of the apples, so with gritted teeth she pushed herself harder. 'Come on Applejack, you ain't the most dependable of ponies for nothing.'
Applejack walked around the cart and lowered herself to set dow
Dinner Date pt. 1Another day, another sky to clear. That thought kept passing through Rainbow Dash's mind as she flew about Ponyville kicking clouds. She would look down and see other ponies going about their business, and Rainbow would notice that, once again, other pegasus ponies wouldn't fly as high as her. 'I bet those ponies couldn't reach Cloudsdale if they tried,' she thought to herself.Dinner Date pt. 1 in Short Stories More Like This
From this height, she could see the extent of her work, and she figured that it was enough for today. She planned to settle in for a nap, but something caught her attention. This something happened to be a yellow pegasus flying into Ponyville, and while Rainbow knew that her friend, Fluttershy, often flew into town, this was the first time she'd seen her fly at this speed. "She looks like a pony on a mission," Rainbow said.
Opting to investigate instead of taking a nap, she flew down toward her friend.
"Hey Fluttershy," Rainbow Dash shouted, "Where're you off to?"

Fluttershy was just waking up and as she opened her eyes, she saw pink and blue. Her vision cleared, and she could see a grin as well. Normally, this would be quite a shock but on this morning, it felt different.
"Good morning, Pinkie," Fluttershy said yawning.
"Good morning sleepy head," Pinkie whispered.
"Why are you whispering?"
"Cause you're just waking up and my rudeness stops at breaking and entering." She looked up lost in thought and then mused, "Does it count as breaking and entering if the door isn't eve
CaraMacWorking the farm was all Macintosh knew, and there really was nothing else in his life. Each and every day he worked the fields and when there was no plowing to be done, he would help his sister buck apples.CaraMac in Short Stories More Like This
One day he was working on some horseshoes that Caramel had not finished. The clumsy colt had smashed his hoof with a hammer and had to take it easy for a while. 'Guess ah better visit him and see if he's doin' alright.' The work was simple and the metal was very malleable, but Mac was having trouble with them. He was just using too much force and was bending the shoes too much. With growing frustration, he just left the unmade shoes, 'Caramel can finish 'em when he recovers. Ah'll just take on the extra work while he takes care of this.' With slow determination he made his was to Caramel's room.
The farm was enjoying a nice warm day and Mac was in no hurry, but something was sitting on his mind. This was the first time in years that Caramel was seriously hurt. He was clumsy but all
