Well I finnally decided to do this. I love Disney dolls and I always have some feelings when I think of repaint one. I have some Disney dolls customized and non disney looking, but It always take long time before I decide to open the box.

This Rapunzel doll is with me since december and I opened her box week ago, and just yesterday I decided to do this repaint.

This is how she looked in orginal -> [link] I hope my repaint didn't broke her. I know I rather do scary repaints but oh wll I also can do something normal.

Factory paint was completely removed and fully repainted.

Rosalind has to be one of my Fave girls... this sculpt (Lea) is always so nice to work with. She was created using a Barbie Basics #5 Model. As always, the factory paint was fully removed and she was given a full facial repaint. I also took her hair down, washed and conditioned it and then gave it a soft feathery style with some bangs/fringe. :)

I am not affiliated in any way with the Mattel Company. I simply use their lovely dolls as a canvas for my own artistic expression!

I created Goddess using a Tonner Tess Trueheart 16 inch vinyl doll. All her original factory paint was removed and she was given a full custom repaint with realistic 3d shading and a light spray of freckles over the nose area. All her factory hair was fully removed and I rooted in a full head of hair using Katsilk Saran, including a side part. It was then washed, conditioned and layer cut. To finish off her look, I created a gorgeous costume... just fit for a Goddess! Hope you like her!

Caprice was created using a 11.5 inch Barbie Basics #5 doll by Mattel. All factory paint was fully removed and she was given a full facial repaint! I also removed all her gorgeous original black hair (it was REALLY hard to do, you know! lol) and gave her a full head reroot in red Katsilk saran with a touch of light blonde mixed throughout for highlights!

DEVIATION NOTES:

This doll, at 22-inches, is much larger than dolls I usually work with, so it's a bit of a challenge to tackle a different scale, not only painting-wise but the logistics of it. Anyhow, the sculpt is really quite beautiful but needed the proper paint treatment to bring Monroe to life.

Full facial repaint as reworking of hair and hair line were all essential to this transformation.

Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area . Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.

-- acrylic paint and ultra fine brushes

I have been very busy with other doll projects but I am very pleased to present my latest ebay offering. Diana Ross and her music has been very much a part of my growing up years and many memories of my life back in the Philippines, so creating a celebrity custom doll honoring Ms. Ross was an absolute pleasure.

I use a Mattel production doll for this project. The inset photo at the bottom shows the doll in its original factory state.

As with all my creations, I completely strip the original factory paint on each of the dolls, and completely repaint the facial features in, paying attention to accuracy of likeness and lifelike expressions. The doll also underwent hair rework to match the proportions of the face. .

Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll's face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area . Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise.

"The power surge that took out the USS Flagg's navigational systems turned out to be no accident. A crazed Robot Master called Elec Man had appeared and began wreaking havoc with massive electrical bolts until X used Cut Man's blades to snip his wires. Elec man escaped in Bubble Man's sub while Hi-Tech and Clutch repaired the Flagg's systems so we wouldn't be caught dead in the water."

Here's another Megaman Alterverse character with a charged personality, Elec man! He was made from a Crimson Guard, Hydra Agent head, Avengers Skrull chestplate, comic Iron man lower arms, RoC The Doctor legs, and Black Ox Revoltech lower legs. Elec man gets an electrical blast beam to ride around on and is decked out in classic Elec man design details.

Seeking to make an even better custom Marvel legends Gambit than my original Marvel vs Capcom 2 version I came up with this recipe. The body is DCU Captain Boomerang, Nick Fury/Punisher lower arms/coat, Eclipso hands, any DCU gripping hands, old ML Gambit lower legs/collar, and a modded DCU Superman Blue head. I used Aves Apoxie Sculpt for the hair and belt sculpts. Gambit's card were made from styrene strips cut into rectangles. The kinetic blast effects are blister bubble laced with epoxy/hot glue and then painted with suncatcher acrylic paints for those stained glass kid-projects you find in Walmarts craft dept. They have all sorts of clear colors like red, purple, and pink that we were missing from the testors/Tamiya paints.

With Captain America, Thor, and other Avengers sporting near-comic accurate suits poor Hawkeye is left out wearing his tacticool gear. Well not today! Here I being you a custom Marvel Legends Hawkeye with a brand new look combining his classic comic look with a movie-esp appearance. I used a Winter Soldier upper body with a Baron Zemo lower, lots of sculpted detail using Aves Apoxie Sculpt and the head of a Marvel Now Captain America. Hawkeye's paint job included different shades of purple and dark red for stand out details. He was given a bow using wire for a draw-back effect, frost and electrical arrows along with regular ones. Now Hawkeye can fight Ultron along side his teammates without looking out of place!

My lovely 5 yr old designed a doll! She's been wanting me to make a doll for her for a long time, but couldn't make up her mind on what she wanted. We put them all into one doll. She wanted rainbow hair, solid purple eyes (like an alien, lol), fangs, and pink and purple leopard spots. The doll is finally done. I have to admit I thought she'd be awful, but she's super cute!

I was so bored this evening that I decided to make a few miniatures for my upcoming General Store inspired dollhouse. I got tired pretty fast and this was about all I could do.

I used Printables I found online for the covers, [link] and maybe somewhere else but I can't remember (printed them a while ago)

The pages were made with polymer clay! Used TLS to put them together.

This is what I did last week when I felt like making miniatures. A teddy bear cake preparation! :D The pan was a real challenge.

Evertyhing was made by me with wood, Sculpey clay and TLS.
