Here's my entry for the mascot contest at the group .
Midnight dragon, beast, slimy thing! Check this beast out - thick, muscular, long tail for balance, killer hooked claws on all his paws, horns, fangs, frills, ehm...
I'm really happy with this guy for several reasons... Not only do I totally love his design and the colours, but I'm really, really proud of the shading I did. I've been practicing this style on chibis lately, but am very happy to see how well it translated into a finished piece.
Expect a lot of my pieces, (if I do many more before I go overseas but definitely when I return, inshallah,) in this style.
Here's the gradient-shaded commission for Arashiin on FA of Ara, the epic storm dragon!
Ara was really fun to work on, was great wing practice, and also just reminded me of how much I love white dragons. The white gave me an opportunity to try out some different shading techniques mixed in with the gradients. He also has some subtle fuzz thrown in there with his highlights. ^^
Constructive criticism is welcome! Commissions in this style are still available as well.
He looked over the distance, the sun was setting. He felt the warmth of its rays, its last farewell; he knew the moment was close. Soon he would join his brothers, and the fire in him, would flame once again.
If you were at the stream you already know this. |3
So this is a sketch for 's Group Sketchbook. The prompt being 'extinguished flame'.
It's been long since I've drawn these so I decided to go with this, and the prompt sounded interesting.
Firstly Happy Birthday !!! Here's my little gift for ya~
I didn't have access to internet when I had the time to make this so my apologies it's just a random dragon instead of any of your own characters
Also testing new colors. I bought new watercolors, real watercolor BUTTONS this time. I already do have acrylics and watercolors, but they're both in tubes and sometimes they tend to be, uneasy to use. So buttons this time (not any kids colors even though they were so cheap XP) they are quite rich in colors and much more easier to blend and fix. I also bought this [link] So long I've been craving for it. It takes time to master, but it will make the job much easier.
And if anyone wonders, that ball is the pearlegg-thing that eastern dragons tend to carry with them.
But I hope you like this and that you had an awesome day!
Well, this is my part for the AT with ~Shralen. I think I finally killed my 1 year artblock o_o I finished this picture in 4 days, I haven´t drawn a full picture that fast for a loooong time xD Shown is Shralens Character Ayu, it was really fun to draw her, even if her skincolours doesn´t look like the one on her reference: So, I hope you like it Medium: Polychromos Time: 6-7h
There are still 2 exams left till the summer-vacations. I hope to find some time to draw the fucking character references which I´m planning since 1,5 years o_o Shame on me D:
Yäääy, I got a new scanner and tried it instantly. The result is pretty nice
I doubt that much of you remember this guy, but it is my old character Himachal. I haven´t drawn him since three years and I´m happy that *Daiyoukai-Naraku forced me to do a remake of him during her visit The picture was started at the end of May but somehow I did not manage to finish it before yesterday, always to lazy :/ It was a lot of fun to draw all this scales and shade them, though the stones in the background were painfull and a little dry to colour. I hope you als enjoy the new Himachal!
Himachal&Hyracidi Species&Art belong to me =Dae-Thalin
So, I am finished now with the "Dragon Magic Sketch" you can see here:
This picture shows a ritual with three moondragons and a little guardian dragon. They are collecting all their powers to awake the magic of the dragons for a new life, for a new age, for a new beginning...
My totally delayed part for the June-July round of I got with their character Koda. I'm so sorry I hope the result is worth the wait. I finished the lines, I think.. 2 weeks ago, but I had no time for the colouration.
I chose the keywords "crouching" and "teal", even teal is not really the main colour here. The stones are so dark. But I like dark shadows
I like how it turn out, especially the waterfall and the character (: I hope you like it as well!
By the way what's with dA? The site is loading sometimes sooooo slow.

huh sorry that I didn't post some art for a while. I worked on a picture, but I break it off, because I don't like it. I was also so unmotivated with drawing D: nah I hope it's gone now, because I have many ideas ^^
This is my part for It's for Her lovely character Ruitai. I use the keywords Lying and Calm.
A green forest suits well to the blue of her :3 And I love painting forests <3 They're much fun to draw. I'm really satisfied how it looks and I hope you like it as well

Finally.. FINALLY I finished SOMETHING Daaaamn I really should work faster... My part of art trade with Most of time went into colouring because this style [link] did not work out as I planned so I had to try something new. Hopefully you all like it Ask if there is something on your mind related to this work
Not much to say here! Just the long-awaited contest prize for I wasn't sure from the ref if Yuko had spines or spikey fur on her chest, so I went with the spines. ;D There's fair amout of detail, tho I have to confess to not being 100% happy with this pic as a whole. Oh, well. Hope you enjoy it.
The characters are Moth, Yuko, and Serene, and their designs are (c)
This was a long overdue commission for My apologies, but school was an obstacle in completing it. :/
It's ironic that in two days of hard work (14 hours total) I was able to complete something that I couldn't even start for 6 months. XD
Beh, anyway, short description because I'm tired ;A;.
Approximate work time taken: 16 hours Program used: GIMP version 2.6
EDIT: Oh, yes--I forgot to say that I'm good to repeat commissioners, and will give up to a 20% discount to those who buy from me more than once. In a few weeks I'll likely reopen them and be able to breeze through them with school out of the way!
