A Pop Culture Interpretation of The Supernatural
Every culture around the world created gods and other mythical beings by mixing and matching fanged and taloned animal parts—e.g., enormous eagle heads on lions’ bodies—human beings have always seemed to need to believe there are powerful and usually quite vengeful supernatural beings lurking just beyond the candlelight.
Supernatural beings come to serve several purposes:
They kept people on the lighted path of truth and goodness, fearful of exploring beyond;
They were a reminder of the punishment we deser

I am wary of my following message not being received with the full gravity it deserves. It is not my intention to unduly alarm the deviantART community, but... $LaurenKitsune is at this time unaccounted for. All attempts on our part to contact her have failed. It is my hope that she has simply taken a much deserved unscheduled pre-Halloween “vacation” and will be back in online communication soon.
Before going dark, $LaurenKitsune was good enough to write and transmit a report on the Slender Man phenomenon sweeping the Internet. That report is published here fo

Watching: The Simpsons' Treehouse of HorrorWatching: The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror in Personal More Like This
Sooner or later, I had to feature The Simpsons in one of my "Watching..." journals. It's one of my favourite TV shows ever: I've watched it since I was three years old, have tapes of lil' me talking about it and collected action figures that I used to play dollhouse with. So where to start, really? Since the moment I started this series of features, I knew that, if I ever did a The Simpsons journal, it would be about the Treehouse of Horror specials.
I don't celebrate Halloween because it's not a holiday or a tradition here. In fact, just as you are harvesting pumpkins and raking leaves, we are getting ready for Summer, thinking of swimming pools and end of school. Marvelous little round world, it is.
However, I do celebrate one thing about Halloween, and that's The Simpsons' Halloween specials. The first Treehouse of Horror aired as the third episode of the show's second season, on October 25th, 1990, about a month before I was born. I still t

I'd like to announce that I have come up with some new story treatments for the show which I think will surely work. I will explain them as follows,
This story centers on Bart, which hasn't been done enough in the recent seasons. It is about Bart bonding again with Ned Flanders, something I personally loved in "The Simpsons Movie". In this Bart is signed up to enter a boys biking race, but he can't use his bike because it needs a severe overhaul and besides the rest of his family are too busy to train him, Homer has to fix his car motor, Marge has too many dishes and laundry, Lisa has to study for a test, and Grandpa who is personally against the use of bicycles refuses. Then Ned Flanders offers to train Bart because he reveals that he was champion in school bike races during his childhood so he starts training Bart and he lends him his old childhood bike, an early 60s children's bicycle, which he fixes up and fixes up and repaints and polishes speciall

Simpsons Pics - Read Description For More InfoI am doing a Simpsons fan-fic series called Ten Years Later which deals with the Simpsons characters basically ten years in the future and would like some pics to go with it but I am not good at drawing in Simpsons form (plus I have no art supplies and tablet to use so I can't try to do it myself) so I'm hoping if someone on here can draw them for me. I can't do it as a commission cause I have no money to send (or really any way to send it) and can't do it as a point commission cause I only have one point though if I have to I can likely do them as a trade but it will be a bit of awhile for me to do part in the trade cause as said I have no art supplies to use at the moment. Also anyone that draws one or more of these pics can take as long as they like with it cause I am in no rush for them and I don't mind having to wait. Now the pics listed here are going to be from the story A Bob Con which deals with Sideshow Bob and Cecil being dragged to a video game convention by their teenage sSimpsons Pics - Read Description For More Info in Art Features More Like This

I want you to think for second, if you were in an accident or found out your parents had a diseases that left them 6 week to live, what would you do about it?
Would you help them? What if it's your brother or sister that needs help? Would you help them? What if it's your next door neighbour? What if it's someone from a different part of the country? What if it's someone on the other side of the world?
But here is the real question. "If you could receive the help, then why can't you give it?"
Every minute of the day someone somewhere needs blood, everyone need blood sometime in their life, maybe they were In a accident or trying to get through a very risky and difficult operation or even giving birth.
