STARTING NOW: A chain-story. Since we are technically a BBC Sherlock fan group (or ended up that way) I'm going to ask that we keep it BBC. That means Sherlock and John, not Holmes and Watson. Also, for the sake of everyone, keep it relatively slash free. So no sex or anything. They can hug, but anything over that line is a bit much. Here's how this works: http://rowlingson39.deviantart.com/art/Chain-Letter-information-314039255
It's been STARTED! To All those involved: THERE IS A NEW FOLDER FOR THE CHAIN STORY. PLEASE SUBMIT THEM IN ORDER. If the person before you has not submitted yet, do not put yours in!!!!!!!Please!

#2: If Rob had run out in the rain, the floor would be wet. It was mentioned that the floor was clean!

Detective Inspector Lestrade entered the dark cottage and spied the distraught man Frank Lloyd sitting on his sofa by candle light. A uniformed Officer passed by and assured Lestrade that they would have the power on in an instant. Lestrade then approached the man and asked for his story.
“My wife is away on a business trip, so I'm here alone for the week,' Lloyd said. 'I was watching an old movie when the lights suddenly went out. Just then, I heard some strange noises coming from the bedroom. I got up to investigate when all of a sudden someone came flying out of the bedroom in such a rush that they knocked me down. Although I did not get a look at the offender, I did hear them open the front door and run out.. At this point, I crawled over to my desk and picked up my phone to call you people. "Have you called the police?" John asked.
"No. Nothing was stolen." He led John to a small storeroom in the back. "I use this space as an office. Sat here and made my price change poster last night. Soon's I was done, I left it on that old desk. When I went out, I locked the door to the main part of my store. So whoever got in was stuck in this little storeroom. Nothing here to steal."

There is always a reason. A level of insult. An unprovoked assault. A threat of invasion. A refusal to negotiate in good faith. A refusal to compromise. There is always something so unbearable that it must be righted with no more delay and by any means, by even the last means, necessary. That final means is war.
Ever since mankind became able to produce and possess more than necessary for survival, there has been a surplus of resources. It is the treasure that has built our civilization and shaped the special magic and glory of what it is to be a human being.

On March 1, 2012 the Nevada DMV issued the first license for a Google Driverless Car. The idea behind this innovation is that one day soon new technology will drive cars safer and more skillfully than humans, thus saving lives and billions of dollars in car crashes. How well this idea catches on is a bit questionable, given the powerful “romance” of driving one’s car, but it’s certainly an indicator of things to come in the daily intersection of human and artificial intelligence and mobility. There have always been those who have dreamed of stepping into a mechanical exo-skeletal-type “suit” and letting the engineering do the work, insta

Like a Virgin, my first Sherlockian fanfiction, was added to Favourites 100 times! I just can't express how amazing this is. I've never even dreamed that so many people would actually enjoy my writings. The writings of a girl who can barely speak English and who always thinks that she's not good enough. You have no idea how much this all means to me and how your feedback and support helped me to improve myself.
So big thanks for all of you!
I've also opened a donation, it's right below this journal. I'm not collecting points for a premium membership, some llama accessories or stuff like that. Nope. I'm making a note here:
It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.
I really don't know what my emotions are doing right now. I'm mostly happy but also surprised really big time. The cause of this state is that my story, The Ghost of You: http://trajektoria.deviantart.com/art/BBC-Sherlock-The-Ghost-of-You-333402385?q=gallery:trajektoria&qo=0&, got the first place in a Halloween competition held by Sherlocklovers: http://sherlocklovers.deviantart.com/.
I honestly and sincerely didn't expect that it will even get to the round two. But to my genuine surprise, it did. And it got even further. That's really awesome, amazing and just wow! I'm totally happy that you've enjoyed my story and thanks for all the votes, that really means a lot to me
I love to write and such success really gives me a boost in confidence and strenghtens my motivation to work even harder to perfect my English. Thanks again, everyone!
Another absenceIt's high time to hit the road again. I love to travel, so every opportunity to leave my home is welcomed. I'm going to Germany again and from 28 September till 4 October most probably I'll be offline.Another absence in Personal More Like This
I didn't post anything in ages, because I simply couldn't focus on writing. There was too much noise and I couldn't hear myself think. And I had too many feels. But I plan to write like crazy in Germany (since I won't have anything better to do there anyway) and when the academic year starts, I'll be spending a lot of time in the library with my trusty netbook (Robercik) and work on my stories. I want really badly to write my Wholock, another chapter of Live and Let Die, something for the Halloween competition and a lot of other stuff.
And I haven't forgotten of :iconfeatherback: request. It's nearly finished and I'll post it when I return. I'm really sorry for the delay, I hope you'll like it despite everything.
Much ado about writingThat's just a little update on what's going on with my writings, especially fanfiction. I have a ridiculous amount of ideas regarding Sherlock and I'm working currently on a few stories. Post-Reichenbach ficlet and the sequel to "Bohemien" are finished, I just need to edit them and get rid of the mistakes. They should be available somewhere at the beginning of the next week, I hope. I also began to write the third part to "Like a Virgin" and actually I have an idea for the fourth part as well. Yay for inspiration! And I'd love to write something about Moriarty, but I don't know what yet. I thought too about opening Sherlockian requests, but I guess I'm not confident enough yet to do itMuch ado about writing in Personal More Like This

How to determine what you should charge for your work
In light of the absolutely horrendous commission page DA started up which encourages artists to sell their work for literally pennies, let me talk about pricing artwork. Or more specifically, how I price my work.
This...guide? Advice? Thing? Highlights what I've learned about pricing throughout the last few years. I do not touch on the subject of beginner pricing, simply because there are no set guidelines for that and beginner pricing usually ends up being extremely subjective. This guide assumes that the reader is somewhat experienced in their craft and is looking for pointers on pricing. However I still highly encourage beginners to read! This is what pricing should be like, not mere pennies for hours upon hours of work. This also focuses on crafts and sewing but a lot of it is s

Ever since I posted Wolf Link and Midna I've been getting an influx of messages asking me to teach, reveal my secrets, take people under my wing, and so on. The sad thing is I can't spend all that much time one on one with everybody asking me to teach them. So I've decided to put together this massive block of text, relating some of my personal experience in plush making and listing off all my resources at the bottom. This will cover the very basics of plush and pattern making so if you are completely new to plush making this is for you, if you're not and you're just looking for resources skip to the bottom. I can already feel the glares and exasperation but hear me out first.
One thing I've noticed with a lot of the messages I got were that a lot of people were scared of screwing up.
World Building Part 1 - The SetupBefore we get into the details of building a world, its a good idea to start a document that will house all of the information about your world. You can start this document with placeholders and fill in the information as you figure it out. Your document should include the following sections:World Building Part 1 - The Setup in Personal More Like This
Planets - where you can list the planets in your world if there is more than one, moons, suns, and what the planet would look like from the sky (any rings, color etc...). You can then go into the continents and cities.
Species - where you list all the species of all the planets. This section will give what each species characteristics are from life spans to looks to development, abilities even reproduction if you want to delve that far. You also might want to mention the culture, religion, etc.. of the species here as well.
Characters - where you keep all the profiles of all your characters. Not only that, you can add their history, story lines, plot li
World Building Part 2 - MapsNow that you have an outline made, it is a good idea to get a clear picture of what your world looks like. This helps you during the writing process by having a quick reference in order to keep place locations clear. And it definitely helps with consistency.World Building Part 2 - Maps in Personal More Like This
For a basic map starter i suggest one of the main planet you story takes place on (if it is not earth) These are the things you should think about when making a map:
1. Decide if you are going to draw a map to scale or not to scale. If your map is basically going to just be a visual companion to your story then you probably dont need to delve into precise measurements. If distances are important, then your best bet is to draw a scaled map and precisely measure all your land masses. For a map to scale, choose your scale (1 inch = 1 mile or something like that). Also choose the direction for North (remember, not all maps denote north as pointing upwards!).
2. Legend - can you tell a city from a village? Figure out what symbols
