- Mist -And the horizons melded into one another,- Mist - in Free Verse More Like This
disappearing in a frothing mist...
And the sky was silent as life rocked twice,
Oblivion drenched on its fingertips;
The clouds were covered in snowy bliss,
Haze soaking through all that could touch
Except, at the water's edge, where stood
That one monument of the last defence,
It was not wrapped in the swallowing fog,
But breathed on as though 'twas limitless.
All the mists shall rise, all the mists shall fall,
All the world will shake in the torrid squall.
