I wanted to take some photos of the dice holders I made recently, since I always forget to take proper pictures of them. They're all made from polymer clay, minus the dice which are store bought. Anything that glows in the dark I've added to the picture.

These will be available this weekend (9/5-9/7) at UmiCon in Daytona, FL. I will be in the artist alley from Friday until the show ends on Sunday. Anything that's left will be listed in my online shop. :)

If you want to see work in progress pictures of these or any other pieces, please make sure to follow my Tumblr or Instagram (links below). I post more frequently on there than here!

1:12 Breakfast tray with coffee, a chocolate croissant (or pain au chocolat), and a bowl of mixed fruits (grapefruit slices, strawberries, grapes, and pineapple).

One of the pieces that was at the Orlando show that will be heading to the miniature show in Boca Raton next weekend.

I want to thank everyone for all the really useful sites and tips they gave me regarding my room boxes. :) I found some really good inspiration to work off of and now have a theme for each: 1950's Diner, Bakery, Chocolate/Candy Shop, and a Grocery store. So far the only one finished is the diner (though Handley House failed and didn't send me two sets of tables :( ). I'll have pictures of them up soon.

1:12 Sangria set. Sangria made with resin, assorted fruits (cherries, pear, pineapple, grapes, lemon, and oranges) made from polymer clay.

One of my favorite drinks from all of the ones I've made recently. :) I really like the color and how the fruits look in the resin.

And that concludes my ice cream clay adventures for this summer. :iconlawooplz:
The local craft store had one of those irresistible sales this week, so I got a bunch of pretty patterned scrapbooking paper. They make nice backgrounds :)

I made a bunch of miniature layered cakes out of polymer clay.
All in 1:12 scale.

The flower cake is the only cake I drew before. It just came to my mind. I'm not too sure why, but I draw it and made it :)

Hey everyone :)

Not home right now, so working on pictures and listing items :D

I've been finishing a few breakfast trays and put some thought in the photographies for once. The goal was to have bright pictures with a sense of scale. Maybe next time I'll add some humor as well :)
You can find the breakfast trays in my online shop : [link]

Hihi!

Here's a tiny bucket of fish! :D  This was done in one layer of resin.  Still experimenting with the resin to see if I can do everything in one layer instead of a few.  It seems like it should work..haha *fingers crossed*.

And here's the fourth elemental dragon - the spirit of air! She too has been made with the #BuyHandmade Elements contest in mind. Since she's an air dragon, I decided to make her out of translucent clay, with light, flowing accents. I ascribed the season of Spring to her, so her colors tend to fresh yellows and greens - she's a spirit of spring breezes, not windstorms. ;P I chose the butterfly as her representative animal, which I realize isn't terribly original of me since I've done butterfly dragons before, but it was an excuse to make another wing cane, which is always fun (and time consuming). Also, she's holding a tiny butterfly, squee!

I was originally going to do individually colored curls down her back, but then I realized I had a pretty good progression going in my mixed colors so I thought it would be fun to turn it into a Skinner blend and do gradiated curls instead. I love how the colors turned out! I was initially skeptical, because the translucent clay just looks kind of milky and a bit dull before it's been baked, but the baking process turns everything more transparent, and the colors really come to life.

This dragon has been sold.

Here is my second elemental dragon: the spirit of earth! He was made with both the BuyHandmade Elements contest and the CRArtisanCrafts October monthly challenge in mind, and I've been waiting foreeeever (ok, like, a week) for it to be October so that this submission would count (I think it was pretty obvious that 'fall colors' was going to be the monthly theme for the October challenge).

I've got all sorts of ideas going on with this guy! Since I based the fire dragon on a bat, I thought it would be fun to give this dragon animal traits too, so he's based on a deer. I wanted the dragon to be earthy, but more in a forest/nature way than in a dirt/rock sort of way. Also, I had this idea of theming each elemental dragon along with a season, so I've assigned this dragon to autumn. The fire wyvern is supposed to represent summer due to all the warm colors, but I think it ended up looking a bit autumnal too, due to the body color being so close to brown. Guess I failed on that count. Anyway, this dragon checks off a few more things from my want-to-sculpt list - improved leafy wings, antlers, and inlaid spots!

Oh my gosh, so much work went into this. I went through three rounds of antlers before settling on this pair - I had a lot of trouble getting the shape and size right, plus I wanted the antlers to actually look like bone, so they're just a teeny bit translucent. I also wanted to make some nicer leaves than what I made for my forest dragon, and in all sorts of different fall colors. I was inspired by Alkhymeia's work, because I love how she makes her leaves, but I didn't look at any references when making this dragon, so they ended up looking rather different (and not as nice! xP). Also, did you notice that I textured both the front and back of the leaves? That was probably unnecessary. x_x Next time, I'll make some different-sized spots on the dragon's flanks too. I think it's weird that they're all the same size. Next time, next time.... I definitely feel like I could do better if I tried making this dragon again - I learned so much while working on it!

This dragon has been sold, but you can still see additional pictures on Etsy.
