Been uber stressed with university work so decided to take a break and do some personal stuff.
I am still obsessed with the environments from the recent Mortal Kombat and thought I might aswell do another redesign of the Dead Pool level.
You can see my last try at a redesign from a year ago here:

Time flies!

Speedpainting done while waiting for feedback for another project. Berlin skyline, done from imagination.
Took a walk home through the Lietzenseepark these days and just had to repaint the atmosphere at that night.

This is my personal follow-up to RomAc 96 [link] with two bug OCs I created. (nothing official)

I really loved the idea of these talking (robot?) bugs so I made my own! ^^

Names? I'll call the blue one Zirper and the red one Zerpor.

Just a quick test with PS.
I actually took pics in my small bedroom today. Very crappy light there, therefor the photo quality is just as crappy.
Took a look in my urbex folder and there's barely useful stuff in there I could use for backgrounds. -_-" That's why the perspective looks so off.

I had the extreme privilege to visit a refinery a couple of months ago and with the exceptional authorisation of the Refinery of Grandpuits in France I had this plate, and couldn't resist turning it into a sci-fi matte painting.

I assure you, the visit was just awesome, I know I know a refinery is not the glamourous place ever but it is just another world. You feel like being in a gloomy scene from Blade Runner movie, with steam, pipes everywhere, noise, and oil smells. I went around 35m up the ground just exactly where the two aliens are. Kind of creepy he he...!

Hope you will like it, this is mostly 2D for I pushed further my painting skills. Basically only the main spaceships have been modelled in Zbrush but postworked quite a lot.

Cheers for your favs and comments!
Textures and stocks are mine.

See also a closeup of the right part here

Since some went a bit fustrated about the details and resolution too low for the artwork . Here is a close-up of the right part with city and aliens painting.
Hope this will be appreciated!
Thanks a lot for your support!

My last artwork before vacation, I tried a matte painting in a rather more traditional way in terms of scene but still sci-fi oriented.
First render made with Vue, city is a mix of painting and 3D.
All stocks are mine for textures. Lots of painting as well.
Hope you guys like it!!
I wish you all very awesome vacation if you have one and thanks for your comments, favs, watch and support!!

Matte painting for a short movie. Done with photoshop. It's about 1 day of work, but it's pretty old, I don't really remember well.

Hope you enjoy! :)

A quick speed painting I did months ago. I think it's pretty nice, so I decided to put it here. It was maybe 2 hours of work, but hell, can't remember :/

Done in photoshop, as usually.

Thanks for watching! :)

Here is my first piece of 3D art I decided to put here!

The funny thing is I firstly only wanted to do some very realistic rocks for some stuff I have to do.
I ended with that picture, which I find not bad at all! You can't imagine how I love to start with designing a rock, and end with an interesting scenery like this!

And of course, I let you imagine what is happening out there, as usual! :)

Thanks for watching!

===========================
Technical stuff:

Total time : ~4 hours

Software used for the 3D : Vue
Software used for the post-prod : Nuke, Photoshop.
