Elle awoke on the stone floor by the door. She had stayed there through the night
until her body forced her to sleep. Her muscles were sore and tight, begging for a more
comfortable surface to lie on. She pushed herself up and tried the door, even though she
knew it would still be locked and it was. Her ankle throbbed dully and she grabbed the
tin of medicine. She dropped two small pills into her mouth and swallowed. 'I guess I'll
sleep a little longer...' she thought, and walked to the bed. She pulled the drapes

"WHERE IS SHE?" Mias roared, charging toward Elias. Elias's eyes snapped up to
meet with his twin's. He quickly pulled another dagger from his ankle and made an arc
motion as Mias crashed into him. Mias maneuvered out of the way of both blades and found
his brother's throat. "TELL ME!" He slammed Elias against the wall, holding him by the neck.
Elias choked out a laugh. Pushing his lower half from against the wall, Elias
managed to kick Mias in his injured shoulder. Mias exclaimed in pain as he lost his grip.

"Welcome, guest of Mathias," Their father spoke in a deep voice, and gestured for
them to sit. "Elliot, servant of Mathias, welcome to my estate. I am Scercias Decivus."
Elle hesitated, being addressed by their father, and bowed slightly, knowing not
what to do.
"No need to bow to me," Scercias said, putting up a hand, "though you may be
servant to Mathias, you are a guest here." Elle glanced nervously to Mias who was
