ZADR Orange Chapter 036
Giggling at Dib's teasing, Zim merely nudged Dib lightly. "Awww, come on. It can't be that bad." he urged Dib to tell him the rest of his dream.
Giggling himself at the small nudge, Dib finally sighed out lightly. "Alright... Well, to tell the truth, I don't remember exactly what you were doing to me in my dream, but whatever it was, you seemed to be enjoying yourself...a LOT...I figure you were finally having your way with me. Heh...But I could be wrong....Because...You promised you'd wait until I was ready, and I have a hard time imagining that you would go against your word...Even if only in a dream..." he smiled to himself, a small blush gracing his cheeks as he told Zim all this.
Sighing to himself, Zim looked away at that answer. "Yeah...I wouldn't want to lose your trust..." his voice came out in a whisper as he was slowly beginning to w

Unaware of the gaze fixed upon him, Zim could only smile in his sleep, balling up in his spot on the couch. "Mmm..." he sounded out in his sleep comfortably.
Smiling back at him, Dib returned his eyes to his still fairly small belly. "Maybe...it won't be so bad after all..." he whispered to himself, looking back out the window. Knowing he wasn't ready to raise three babies let alone even one, he at least knew he needed to try, wanting to give them the best he could. "I guess we should start preparing..." he then whispered quietly to himself, hugging himself a bit.
Sleeping on, Zim remained out cold for the next several hours, leaving Dib to sit by a small bench near the window.

It wasn't until about 4 hours later that Gir came shooting through the door to Zim's bedroom, giggling, the mission assigned to him by Zim to wake the other up every morning for school. "Mastah! Mastah!" he crawled up onto the bed to jump up and down, stopping when the Irken didn't respond. "Mastah?" he crawled up closer to where Zim was sleeping under the covers and lifted them, reaching forward to peel back one of his eyelids. "Mastah?" he asked one last time, tilting his head to the side confusedly.
Too tuckered out from the night before to budge, Zim simply grumbled and cuddled up closer to Dib.
Shuddering at the sudden closeness, Dib pulled away somewhat, having reacted to Gir's jumping up and down on the bed more so than Zim had. "Ow..." he peeked his eyes open to look around, bringing a hand up to hold his head. "Wh-What happened last ni

Watching Gaz's back as she was about to leave, Zim quickly spoke up to catch her attention again. "About what?" he asked, wanting to know what was so important that Dib's father felt the need to send Gaz all the way over here to tell Dib.
"Well, for starters, he's missed out on at least three days of school this week, but what really caught his attention were Dib's grades on the report cards they just sent out a few days ago. Apparently, he's failing in two or three classes." Gaz said from her spot, turning her head to send Dib a pointed glare.
Knowing himself that he hadn't been doing all too well this semester due to falling asleep during classes after late nights spying on Zim, Dib paled somewhat.
"School shmool. What good will that place ever be in his life?"

As Zim continued to sleep on for a while longer, the sweet smell of heated waffles slowly wafted into the living room. "Mmm..." he smiled, licking his lips before then rolling over and crashing onto the floor with a loud thud.
Jumping at the sound of Zim falling onto the floor followed by a pained groan from the other, Dib rushed back over to the entrance to the living room to peek out on the other again. "Zim!" he exclaimed before making his way over to the fallen Irken, kneeling down on the ground next to him to help him back up. "Are you okay?" he asked, sending him a concerned look.
"Mmm..." Zim merely grumbled, snuggling back up to Dib. "Zim is too tired to wake up..." he yawned before hearing his stomach growl loudly, causing his eyes to snap open. "Th-Then again..."he said before offering one of his hands to Dib.

So standing up from her spot, she went ahead and headed back up to the house level of the base, returning a few minutes later with the fast food looking bag in hand. Pulling out a long, chocolate doughnut, she then handed it over to Zim. "There...Happy now?" she asked.
Taking the tasty treat from her, Zim nodded his head thankfully. "Thank you, Gaz." he said before taking a large bite out of the doughnut, nomming the rest of it away quickly.

Not responding to Gaz's suggestion of getting some sleep, Dib just turned to wander the hallways of their school alone, needing that time to think.
Sighing to herself, Gaz merely rolled her eyes. "Whatever...Wear yourself out then." she said before turning onto her side in the chair to get comfortable.
Ignoring her last comment, Dib exited the library and made his way to the gymnasium, the cold night air beginning to nip at his entire body but especially his hands, making them completely numb as he proceeded to take a seat on the bleachers where their school usually held assemblies.
The night was quiet and only the crickets seemed to be awake in the town.

Narrowing his eyes on her even more, Dib could only scream at her one last time. "AT THIS POINT, I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT DEATH! "Th-That's fine..." Dib really didn't care as he climbed into the front seat next to the older man, more worried about getting sick in his car than anything else. Then, strapping himself in shakily, Dib rather pressed a hand to the window before swallowing thickly.

Surprised but pleased at finding himself this close to his human, Zim stretched up onto the tips of his toes so he could rest his head against Dib's shoulder, reading the board too. "Hey, look!" He pointed at a bright flyer. "All applicants for homecoming king and queen need to talk to the principal before January 10th!"

The day of the dance came. Since they were candidates, they had to go to all of the events before the actual dance, such as the pep rally, basketball, and football games. Zim dug a dollar bill out of her pocket and gave it to her, then picked up the bottle. The ice-cold water clinging to its outside made him flinch as it burned his skin. He quickly handed it to Gaz and wiped his hand off on his pant leg.
"Thanks." She twisted the lid off and drank deeply. They walked back to where Dib was sitting. "You sure Dib won't get jealous?" she asked.

Dib watched Zim curiously as he saw the irken remove his wig for only a brief moment to massage his antennae before looking around and quickly putting it back on. No one seemed to have noticed; no one except a certain black-haired kid.
Dib lowered his binoculars and leaned back against the trunk of the tree he was perched in. It was recess and he was doing his usual spying on Zim. They were in Hi-Skool by now and Zim hadn't managed to take over Earth yet. Not that anyone really expected him to. He's shown his incompetency so many times Dib stopped worrying about him long ago. He just liked observing the many odd quirks the alien had.
His curiosity was piqued slightly. What function did the antennae serve? As long as he's known Zim and he's never really figured it out. He assumed they were for hearing and expressing emotion, as they often shot straight up when their owner was surprised or laid down flat when he was angry. But was that all they were for?

He shoved his tray of school food aside and took a blueprint out of his PAK, spreading it out and drawing on it, humming loudly, watching Dib out of the corner of his eye.
Dib glanced at him and made a move as if to get up, then changed his mind and relaxed again, looking back at Gretchen. She smiled at him, flashing her perfect teeth; years of heavy-duty dental work had finally paid off. She didn't have braces anymore and her overbite was gone; she was quite beautiful now.

"Well, okay but if something bad happens, I'm blaming you," Zim said, finally walking on his own. He pulled his arm out of Dib's grip and folded them across his chest.

Having forgotten already that he was really, REALLY late for school by now, Zim walked slowly through the snow towards the educational establishment, a confused and even slightly sad look plastered on his face. The air was crisp, enveloping the city in that icy grip it always seemed to have during this time of the year. Everything was white save for the red and green decorations clinging to nearly every house and building in the city. The month was December which meant Christmas was approaching fast. Dib didn’t respond however, something inside of him having shut down in that moment, causing his knees to lock and mind to go blank.
“Where is the nurse’s office? I

Perhaps part of the problem was fear, for what the Tallest would say upon seeing a worthless human contacting them. But, more than anything it was the fact that while in the car, spilling his guts out to a stranger that Dib finally noticed something that had been in essence building for most of his life.
Everything made so much more sense now that he'd said it out loud. Every syllable had sunk into his brain as he'd sat in that backseat, repeating over and over. The pain relived.
Having only Zim as an enemy and perhaps it had formed into more of a convoluted companionship. Nothing had changed when they'd married. Not that he'd had much time to get used to it, but it felt normal as always.
Then there was the dance floor. A messy version of dancing but it was all they knew and it was comforta

"So, you went up to his room?" Sounded like a stupid question to him, but something obviously needed to be said as encouragement to keep the boy going. It worked, because Dib nodded, albeit reluctantly and cleared his throat, as if it pained him.
"Well, we went up, Zim flirting with Julio the entire time, or at least the best version that someone like Zim could do, Kind of cheesy and moronic. Still it was pretty convincing." Shifty eyes glanced out the dewed window. The sun was beginning to rise he noted. The sky was kind of a pretty, maroon color. And that had him thinking all over again of Zim's eyes. "And when we got there, it was a fancy place with a lot of gl

Dib straightened himself up; instinctively knowing he looked as if he'd been run over ten times, kicked around, attacked by a giant squid and then left out in the rain. A shaky hand ran itself through tangled dark locks. Contacting powerful leaders and looking like road kill was about as humiliating as it got. But, still he knew it didn't matter.
"For Zim." Dib whispered, frowning down at the screen, as it splashed bleaching blue color on his already pale skin. The loading bar reached 100 and with a final ominous beep he was shown the Tallest's control room where the two leaders sat, chins lifted, dressed in heavy armor as if awaiting an attack at any second. A single glance into the review mirror again stopped him though and he dropped his searching digits. With a stressed sigh, the hazel eyes dropped again to stare out the window where the destination was approaching.
"An SOS? Like a boat?"
Dib frowned, as he finally noticed the pink specks of Zim's blood on his jacket. Not to mention that stickiness of his own and Julio's blood. Gold eyes shot up to the driver and he swallowed.
"No. I-It's not a traditional SOS. It's in Irken." Pale violet lids fluttered shut as he fought to pronounce it correctly. "Silvit Ore Sonhule." The words rolled off his tongue effortlessly. The language was a beautiful one.
Bill nodded, brow furrowed. Somewhere back in his brain he recognized that this whole ordeal could've easily been a prank; it could've been a coma induced hallucin

Dib frowned and swatted the hand away, cuddling back under the covers. Then it caught up to him the sound came from next to him. His amber eyes flew open and he shouted scrambling out of the bed.
"W-Why uh why were we in bed together?" Dib squeaked. Zim shrugged and slid out much more gracefully.
"I don't know. Don't care. We were intoxicated by your strange human drinks." Dib was shaking, panicking, trying unsuccessfully to remembering anything from the previous night.

Bill kept looking in the rearview mirror at his passenger, eyebrows furrowed in a silent question. This particular boy looked so familiar. The golden eyes and long eyelashes. Pale skin and not so subtle scars. Tall, gawky and too thin body.
Quite suddenly, a big flash of memory hit him like a car crash. That night so long ago it felt. The night where his life as a boring old cabbie had been irrevocably altered to revolve around a distraught teenager and his friend.
Hazel eyes widened in recognition, mouth falling open as he glanced at the tuxedo and spiked hair. All that was missing was pink blood and glass shards.

The human frowned, concerned at what had made his lover so terrified when he knew for a fact that Nar had witnessed murders, monsters and high gas prices. He spun, ready to attack whatever the menace was for his lover and froze.
Then immediately broke out in laughter, doubling over and having to steady himself. Tears ran down his face.
"Stop laughing at me!" Lard Nar growled, poking the human.
"I'm serious here!" Dib just shook his head, looking at his lover then back at the 'menace' letting loose another peel of giggles.
Lard Nar crossed his arms, and pouted.
When Dib finally calmed down, aside from a few stray chuckles, he kneeled and whistled.
A little floppy eared and big pawed puppy ran over with tongue flopping out.
Lard Nar squealed again, cowering. "What is it? Just tell me already! I can't stand this!"
Dib lifted the rascal up with a grin, rubbing its head.

He felt like a child, hands pressed against the glass. Face almost doing the same as he stared with morbid curiosity as his father and several other scientists talked around a body. It was cut open, blood dripping into a contained container around the table. A clean white sheet, all but soaked. One of the scientists said something behind his mask and they all laughed. Dib couldn’t remove his eyes from the glistening organs, the limp limbs that poked from the sheet.
That had haunted him in his dreams ever since and today was the same. Except for the fact that Dib was 19 now and the subject wasn’t under a sheet with scientists laughing around his dead body. Yet. Instead it was locked in a giant clear cube. It had a bed and a toilet but little else.
And the subject wasn’t human. That was clear right away. Dib felt his eyes widen and his curiosity pique immediately. He was following his father who was talking to another fellow scientist. He

My heart began pounding hard against my chest as Zims lips moved on mines.
Then, I gently slid my tongue through his lower lip, asking for entrance.
He startled a bit, and after a few seconds of hesitation he allowed me in as I slid my arms around his neck pulling him closer, deepening the kiss.
Then I felt his hands running trough my hair and a violent jolt of electricity cross my body. I felt it in every muscle, in every fibre of my flesh. Needed to show how much I cared about him, how much I loved. I just needed Zim. With that I pinned him to the wall, getting in a more passionate and desperate kiss.

Of course the boy is crazy, but whatever happened to that big-head human? It's like... He died. I think that's why he hasn't been to skool. I of course asked the Dib-sister whatever happened to the dirt-child, but all she said was that he is in a better place known as an 'Ass-oo-lum.' What the name of irk is an ass-oo-lum? Upon realizing there was no sign of the Irken even making an attempt to get into his house, Dib felt it were safer to be in there now than outside so he rushed towards it in quite a hurry. Once he had burst in the door, he slammed it furiously behind him and turned to lock the door for an extra sense of security. Hopefully Gaz had a key to the house so she wouldn't bother him with her obnoxious banging as she did quite often.
After locking the door, Dib turned his back to it and leaned against it, closing his eyes and taking deep breaths in an attempt to calm himself after all of the stress he had endured that day. Unfortunately, he could only think of Zim as he stood there, images of that haunting grin flashing in his memory.
The boy let out a groan of both agony and frustration as he headed towards the downstairs bathroom, pulling out a first aid kit to bandage his wounds before heading up to his bedroom hoping that some relaxation would help to clear his mind. Of cours

Soon all of Zim's tremors just seemed to halt. He pulled himself back up onto all fours, extending his head up with his neck still cocked at an awkward angle so he could see Dib's face. He parted his lips into the grin again, beginning to screech out in a single laughter with that eerie 'e' sound again.
The sight of that haunting grin seemed to paralyze the boy as he slowly let himself down to the floor, wrapping himself in a fetal position as he rocked himself very stiffly as if to comfort himself. Violent shivers also shook him as the cackle rung in his ears as they only intensified the dread he was already feeling.
Zim slowly began to drag himself over to him, seeing him as wounded prey now. His limbs still had trouble taking turns, looking even more like a creature in dire need of an exorcism.
Dib's eyes expanded as the other drew closer to him. He didn't blink now since in his mind, blinking only made him made him more vulnerable than he already was, even though he wo

Dib stared at Zim wide-eyed in panic as he approached him slowly, backing up a few clumsy steps before bumping into the fence behind him. He looked over his shoulder and eye it, dreading the fact that he had to climb the damned thing if he wanted to avoid the same fate his teacher had met.
After glancing back at Zim another time, seeing that he was getting closer to him quicker than he thought, he turned and faced the fence and backed up a few steps. He drew a shaky breath before running at it and making a leap as he got close to the fence, grunting as he hit it and started his desperate climb.
A screech of obvious rage exploded from the hobbling being that was trailing far behind his escaping form. “IB!!!!” The name practically pierced through the air as wild eyes, even through those contacts, locked onto him frighteningly and his arms outstretched in a dire want to rip the other from the rusty chained fence.
The screech shook the boy, causing his grip to sli

After several minutes of just staring at the computer in complete terror, Dib turned to the platform and headed towards it. He shut off the lights on his way out, the computer’s bright monitor illuminating the room now. His head turned to look back at it, nodding once as if to thank it before stepping onto the plate in front of him. The platform rose again for him to take him back upstairs into the wreckage. Now he had an answer as to what happened and why Zim was behaving like he was. The better question was, would he regret seeing that though; seeing the complete self-destruction of his now former worst enemy and now current worst nightmare?
The thing that made seeing that video so traumatizing was that he had actually grown to some what care about Zim. Yes, they were enemies both out to stop each other at every turn, but before Zim, he didn’t have a reason to get up every day and go to school. Zim was everything he had always wanted; an alien that had found

Dib walked down the sidewalk appearing more disturbed than he had since this had started. The lingering taste of Zim’s blood seemed to keep him in an almost trance like state as he walked almost unnaturally down the sideswalk. Of course, the boy’s unsettling demeanor attracted more stares from the people around him.
People went from being distasteful and scowling at him, to almost frightened and concerned for the boy. He'd been progressing so quickly to lunacy lately that some people believed it was time he saw someone about it.
This thought of going to see someone though seemed to be out of the question in Dib’s mind. He knew a doctor would only blame it on schizophrenia or just plain insanity and not even try to believe that something was actually going on. He would only be prescribed some drug to try and rid him of ‘the images in his head’.
Perhaps that's what he needed to stay sane though; receive some counseling and a bit of medicin

Upon arriving home on that quiet, eerie night, Dib was relieved to find that no insane Irken had followed him. He was alone now, and he had the feeling he would have a peaceful night in contrast to the others he had experienced.
As Dib had made his way into the house and up to his room, the lingering smell of day old blood hit him. It wasn’t quite as harsh and foul as the pile of junk found in Zim’s closet. However, it was enough to make the boy groan in both agony and nausea, but the smell didn’t seem to stop him from hobbling to his bed and allowing himself to collapse upon it.
At least he was safe for now, and tonight would be one of the only nights open for him to sleep without much worry. Zim was still too weak to come for him, and the computer was keeping him indoors for tonight.
As Dib lay on his bed with his eyes pealed wide open, he felt himself almost grow drowsy as time proceeded. He even fell into a deep and much needed sleep within fifteen

Resolve came in the form of first sunlight beaming through the shattered hole that was at one point a window. It immediately melted away the shadows and extinguished the coolness that the night had brought. Everything was completely visible now and revealed to the paranoid human.
However, even after the sun had come up, Dib took a while to convince himself that there wasn't actually anything there, and that it had all just been a crazy delusion in his head. After several more minutes of watching everything around him, he had finally convinced himself that he was alone now, which actually relaxed him and made him realize how tired he actually was. It was too late to try and sleep now though since he had to get ready for another dreadful day of school.
He didn't try too hard, though, as he decided to stay in the bloodied and torn cloths from the night before and only ran his hands over his hair in an attempt to smooth it out. He was far too tired and stressed to be concerned

Dib found himself completely frozen again as the other approached him slowly. It was almost as if time had just stopped completely as each step created more and more anticipation and fear. He could hardly even bat an eye as his gaze was glued on to Zim with no intention of looking anywhere else.
Zim took agonizingly slow steps to him, the laughing dying down to weak 'e' sounds of an eerie laugh. He stopped when he had reached him, eyes turning wild almost instantly. He leaned forward and continued that grin of insanity, looking like he was a wrong breath away from a total meltdown. "I...want to....." The rest turned into garbled nonsense, but he paused, as if he were waiting for an answer now.
Dib didn't seem to catch on to this though as he was too intently focused on the other's horrifying expression, sending shivers down his spine the longer he stared at it. He considered running, but of course his body wouldn't even allow him to move a finger as he stood perfectly still
'IB' - Chapter Five'IB' - Chapter Five in Horror More Like This
As Dib stood outside of his home, he couldn't help the overwhelming loneliness that washed over him. After the neighbours reaction, he highly doubted anyone would take him seriously. Not like they had taken him seriously before anyway.
On top of the extreme aloneness, the boy was feeling a massive amount of paranoia. His house had proven to be just as dangerous a place to be now, and after seeing how easily and quickly Zim could infiltrate it, he realized he would never feel at peace inside of it. He would always be looking around himself, checking to make sure he was truly alone.
Dib took only small, slow steps towards the house now, his eyes flicking everywhere as he scanned for any threats. He was quite jumpy now though, so when a small leaf flew by him he jumped backwards a step and let out a high pitched scream. He began to breathe rapidly until realizing it was just a leaf before taking a deep breath and staring forward again, his eyes continuing to scan his environm

Dib’s hurried pace soon slowed to a steady walk as he got closer to Zim’s base. He delayed getting there as he was both afraid and nervous of what he may find here. He actually started to second guess if this was the best thing to do, but he arrived before he knew it. Once it were visible across the road from him, Dib stopped and stared at it for a short time. He drew in a deep breath, whispering unsure words of encouragement before starting closer towards it.
Zim's base looked pretty similar on the outside, except for where his gnomes keeping his house protected had been destroyed. Though, it did seem to have an eerie aura around it which was something that hadn’t been present in the past.
Dib had made it to the front door now, staring upon it as if there were something fairly interesting about it. In reality, he was just preparing himself for what he was sure would be a quite shocking sight. Finally, he pushed the door open and flicked on the lights wi
