"Santana," her mother said, her voice clouded over by a Spanish accent. "Come get these boxes, please." She frowned and sighed, not too happy with the task before her. As her mother placed a dusty cardboard box in her arms, the small girl stared at the foreboding brick building in front of her, and a chipped, faded sign that said, 'Welcome to Lima Heights Apartments!'.
