Next UpCarrying on from the last entry, the second airsoft day was really fun. Not being as clueless this time helped, and I borrowed some better gear from my friend who's turning into a real enthusiast for the game. Confirmed hits this time were 5. I still got shot a lot but no being whacked in the ear or behind the jaw thanks to better head protection. I think I did get shot in the forehead once but the padding of my warm outdoors-y hat took all the force out of it.Next Up in Personal More Like This
Without going into lengthy details of the day, the highlights were everyone walking past a prone sniper in an amazingly good ghillie suit, who sprung two minimum range 'bang' kills on our squad. I was maybe 3m away by a tree at his 9 o'clock, out of his peripheral vision so didn't get shot. Although I must've gone right in front of him to get where I was- it was my friend who got too close for comfort to trigger his reaction. Bemused/confused by the whole thing I just stared at him for some seconds, and gathering one of the bang
Shepard: ProgressPrinter troubles and some last minute texture/UV edits have delayed this model but now I'm finally ready to start. My aunt has the same type of printer as me but hers is substantially less hammered into oblivion by running through countless papercraft sheets, university reports and what not. Most importantly it actually prints the right shades! Not quite what you see on screen but actual grey tone armour instead of the green-grey I was getting, and better definition of the dark areas of textures. Her house is only 5 mins walk away so it's not a stretch if I need reprints (which I do for the hair).Shepard: Progress in Personal More Like This
Like Garrus' build http://xenonray.deviantart.com/journal/Garrus-It-begiiins-260223643 I'll keep a record here to update the progress each day, if there is any!
Progress:
3rd June: Built the head again. Did the hair on light unmarked paper that I think is about 120gsm. Easy to manipulate- creases like hell so I need to redo it. Also complete are the collar and a bit of the right foot.
