The moonless sky portrayed nothing of the bright white sphere - instead, the
twinkling stars shed light across the lush woods, moors, and marshes. But it also
illuminated a peculiar scene, in which 3 cats stood in a close circle, apparently arguing forcefully.
“Are you sure she’s the right one?” murmured a sleek, dark ginger she-cat worriedly.
“Of course we are,” snapped a smoky gray she-cat with eyes like flashlights. “Do you
think with the events happening we wouldn’t know?”
“I was just making sure, Brightstorm, don’t be a bear,” retorted the stressed she-cat sharply.
The single tom, who was sitting right between the bickering she-cats, seemed to have
no interest in the argument. On the contrary, he was staring blankly at a particular

TG: Outlawed Chapter 11: Surprises
Embergaze’s tail brushed against a leaf fanning over the side of a fern bush. She stopped dead, holding her breath as the fat vole ahead raised it’s head, tiny pink nose twitching.
The vole apparently must have decided it was merely the breeze rustling a leaf, and continued nibbling a nut.

“All cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Slanted Rock for a clan meeting!”
Embergaze jerked out of her thoughtful stupor. Whisperstar’s misty fur blended
perfectly in with icy gray background as he emerged from the Leader’s Cavern, an
underground tunnel that eventually led to a underground cavern. Badgerclaw followed
shortly after ward, his amber eyes as serious as ever.
After the amazingly strong garlic scent, they reported to Badgerclaw and departed
home, after two tedious hunts for any prey that might still be living in the forest.
Badgerclaw then immediately went to Whisperstar, and they had disappeared in the
Leader’s Cavern for quite some time.
Embergaze, who had been curled against one of the naked maple trees, couldn’t figure
out what had made a garlic smell so strong. Did this have something to do with her
dream? “Darkness is coming..”

Two sparking sapphires twisted to gaze upon me. It seemed they sparkled in the dim light; even brighter than the than the stars reflected in the lake. No matter how much they flickered, they simply couldn't compare to her eyes.
