He yawned a bit and went to take a shower. He welcomed the steaming water as hit pelted on his skin. Afterwards he went out for his morning jog, a morning ritual since high school in his life. He threw on his sweat pants and hoodie, and went out into the dark city. The city was quiet, not a single person on the streets, excluding James. To say that Jack was excited to play the new Pokemon games would have been an understatement. He was perhaps a little late in getting one of the games, but that only made him all the more eager to play through it. He was already making quite a bit of progress, having defeated the Santalune City gym leader, Viola, and paying one more visit to the pokemon center before continuing.
"Alright, Route 4 is next. Let's just save up and get to the next city!" Jack said with a smirk. He had yet to notice the red light coming from his 3DS, warning him of a low battery.
He paused the game and clicked through the prompts, and the game began to save. The screen flashed with warnings of making sure not to turn off or reset the system. Unfortunately and perhaps ironically, this was the exact moment that the 3DS decided it had had enough, and immediately turned itself off before the save could complete.

Harry was an aspiring trainer of average skill. Really, he didn't consider himself good or anything, but at the very least he knew what he was doing. Or at least he would have hoped that he did! Regardless, he understood one thing:
He wouldn't get any better with just one Pokemon!
And so he left the safety of town and journied into the woods with his Espeon and as many pokeballs as he could afford, eager to make new Pokemon friends.
The trainer hummed a little as he continued walking down the path. Aside from the few bug pokemon that would usually be about, nothing really stood out to him. The boy wanted to explore a little before deciding on what to add to his party, and explore he did.
"Ugh, nothing really good around here. Maybe..." He looked down at the path he had been following, then at the thicker woods off the path. It was commonly known that the much more dangerous pokemon were farther into the woods, which is why the city took the time to mark off the saf

This made the discovery that their parents were getting divorced, and Marcus would be going to Johto while Mary stayed in Hoenn, all the more tragic for the two siblings. Their days together were numbered, and they knew that, but they just couldn't let each other go.

It was a dark and... relatively clear night. But more importantly, it was also quiet. Specifically in the town's library. This was a good thing for Susan; she much preferred the library when there was no one else there to bother her studies. Well, no one else besides the librarian, who (although Susan would never say it to her face) was probably older than most of the books people came here to read. It helped that the librarian let her stay a little passed closing hours due to a few part time jobs and donations, as well (Although Sarah figured the real reason was because the old coot behind the counter was more than a little unhinged.)
Susan wasn't interested in THOSE books, though. She much preferred the older, more 'mystical' texts the librarian kept at the farthest shelf. She read through most of the texts, intrigued by their tales of spells, curses, adventure. She loved how thorough the book described it all, how in detail it went into each piece of 'magic' it

The head of the costume shared in its amazing attention to detail. A cute little muzzle with a button nose, and oddly expressive big brown eyes. Large, leaf-like ears positioned on each side of the costume's head, with a cute tuft of fur jutting out in between them.
Kyle grinned as he looked at the suit splayed out across his bed. This was probably the most amazing Leafeon costume he had, and ever will see. As he stared at it, he wondered just what he would do with it. The boy snorted and shook his head. "Well, it's a costume, right? Just put it on." He nodded to himself, taking the soft suit.

The continuous clicking of his bike drowned out any other ambient noise apart from the tires kicking up the loose water on the ground. His black and white baseball cap was dripping wet with water from the rain earlier, running down into his hair and onto his neck.
Though the rain from when Jeremy initially left work made his clothing wet, he didn't mind one bit.

There are times and places where everything becomes very malleable. Where reality is altered by what you desire. Of course, there are dangers. One must understand that any alterations in such a state are also retroactive. A blue moon, no one is quite sure where the term came from, but to an Umbreon looking for a mate, it means good luck, to a wanderer walking through a thick forest, it shows his path, and to a group of travelers, it’s a start of a rare event.
“First my ticket’s lost, now my map’s ruined.” Jack said to himself as he continues walking. The sun is setting behind him, and soon the full moon will rise up, “I wonder if a blue moon really is blue.” Nearby, a pair of red eyes watches from behind the bushes before running off. Ch. 1 - A New StudentIt is said that in ancient legends around the world, Sinnoh for example, there was a time where there was no distinction between Human and Pokemon. Some think it went even further.Ch. 1 - A New Student in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
You see, ever since recorded time, there were stories, myths, legends, rumors, and hoaxes of shapeshifters. One of the tales speaks of a Ditto changing one being into another. In the search of truth, scientists in the Kalos Region discovered a set of genes in the transforming pokemon that stays constant, the recently named Stability Genes, for it keeps the Ditto from dying either through cellular instability or cellular decay. Of course, the tale speaks of the Ditto using its transformative power on another being, not itself. Any truth found therein has been lost to the mists of time. – Anthropology Professor Archibald Winston, Relationships Between Man and Pokemon Spe

Great Tato's CurseThere are spells, hidden and forgotten by the mists of time, which can change a person in their entirety. Such spells are forgotten because of the horrors and terrors it caused. One myth speaks of the Mad God of Change, Elross, freely gave such magic to the early kings. One made the ruler and the land linked, so if one is healthy and prosperous, so is the other, and vice versa. Another is to give a person the ability to become an elemental being, to be able to manipulate one’s new native element as easily as breathing. One of the worse is a complete transmogrification of a being, from one thing into another, changing the being’s body, mind, and spirit in its entirety. – An excerpt of an Academy of the Sword and Staff lectureGreat Tato's Curse in Short Stories More Like This

Farmer Bill was in a particularly bad mood today. The damned tomato hornworms were decimating his tomato plants, and he had had enough of it. In order to sell his produce as organic, he could not use any harmful chemicals, thus the huge green caterpillars were simply taking over. The stupid worms basically laughed at those harmless soap sprays he used. They could eat a tub of soap and still have room left to chow down on most of the leaves of the plants.
So he began his daily routine of murdering them.
Sweating and cursing in the hot sun, he found it amusing to devise the most inhumane ways to kill the insects. Crushing them quickly beneath his shoe was far too boring. So, sometimes he would stretch them until they ripped in half, their guts spilling to the earth. On other occasions, he would section them into pieces and observe them as they conti

Caroline had turned into a mirror. Right in front of Lexi's very eyes.
Lexi thought back to that day the summer before college had started. Caroline had snuck some of the potion from her mother (and later was punished for weeks). “It turns you into a talking mirror. You know, like in 'Snow White'?”
“Right, Caroline. Right,” Lexi had retorted. “That stuff will probably kill you, and it's illegal for you to drink anyway. It says right there on the bottle, 'for use of persons 18 and up'.”

After a particularly sordid affair involving the punishment of a man who liked to 'create' roadkill, she sat back at her computer, a steaming cup of tea at her side. She had gotten a Facebook account months ago, and it amazed even her that she had friends all over the world. Some were people she had helped (or punished and reformed), and others had no idea of her true identity. But this social media craze definitely made her life more interesting.
