Going nowhereThe window is broken,Going nowhere in Scraps More Like This
Got smashed with a rock
This place, our home
Soiled paper and shards of glass
It smells like old urine in here
I need to do the laundry again
But I don’t have enough quarters
It's raining outside,
And the air is so humid
The rooms around me have flooded
And the water flows as the ground trembles with current
The red algal bloom is grinning, so I say, “I see you.”
It echoes, “I see you, too.”
The sky is veiled in volcanic ash,
It’s difficult to breathe sometimes
As I walk forward my feet hurt,
But I keep going in circles.
We all drank from that stream,
I was thirteen back then, or was I fifteen?
We were four, then three, then two, and now it's just I
That pipe was connected to the other side,
To the toilets of Mr. and Mrs. Pie
Just a drop here, a drop there,
We found the fountain to nowhere.
