It was a night calm fall afternoon. I had finally saved up some money to buy a used Pokemon Pearl Version. I played through Diamond once and felt as if I should try Pearl this time. My cousin had his SoulSilver. I begged him to trade me anything strong to help me beat the game. I was feeling rather lazy and I had always hated grinding to level up. He agreed under one circumstance. He picked the Pokémon he gave me. I agreed and we set up a trade.
I sent him a cruddy little Pidgey and I watched as he scanned through his team. "This one." He said, pointing to a level 70 Electabuzz. I frowned. "Electabuzz " I sighed. I didn't really like Electabuzz or Magmar. Elekids were cute but Electabuzz. "Leave it or take it. At least he's high leveled." My cousin said crossing his arms. I huffed in irritation. "Fine " We traded and I had to go home. The whole ride I sat looking at the yellow and black creature.
A week had passed and the Electabuzz I had

It wasn't, it was from an unknown number and it said, "You have volunteered to be a in the hunger games! Congratulations! Effie Trinket." Thinking they were playing a joke on me, I played into it. I text-ed back "O.Kay. where do you want to pick me up?" So I started down the ranch road slowly, when my phone vibrated, I looked at it and I was getting a call. I paused my Ipod and answered the phone. "Hello?" I said.69th Hunger Games in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

It had been AGES since I'd played through this game. Oh, the nostalgia. Pokemon Crystal! This had been my very first game ever. It was the game that introduced me to all the other video games I played now, and for that, it definitely held a special place in my heart.
I grabbed my old GameBoy color and my Crystal version. The cartridge sparkled slightly in the dim light cast across my room by the twilit window as I inserted it into my trusty Gameboy Color. The game started up and everything worked to perfection.

The next few weeks were great for me, playing through the game, training up my team, (which, in retrospect, was probably just a level 100 Blaziken and all the legendaries), and overall having a blast.
Anyway, it was around this age that I'd concluded my house was haunted. Maybe it was watching too many ghost shows, horror movies, or whatever, but I was completely convinced my home was housing the paranormal. I've always been very analytical and curious, so of course, I'd collected as much knowledge about spirits as I could, and I had thought I had experienced each of the things in my house before.
What's this have to do with Emerald? We're getting there. Now, an interesting fact; I did

trapped in a room where I cannot fight.
Here I am silent and still,
gazing out the windowsill.
I paint the world outside my cell
dragons and demons fight as well
as the battles raging in my head
the harrowing feeling that I might be dead.
I let my brush sweep the skies,
I build a world full of whys.
Dizzily, I speckle stars
and give new life to planet Mars.
But footsteps break me from my page,
I pace inside the mental cage,
my mind is melting with my brush
its colours dulled, no longer lush.
I hear them calling out my name
but I must paint just one more frame,
dripping down across the sheet,
I let the colour stain my feet.
One with art and art has won,
I'm done, dear god, at last I'm done.
I cannot take the pain much more,
the voice who screams, my mind so sore.
So here I am, the gallant knight,
who has long since lost his final fight.
Here I am, my mind a flood,
painting pretty pictures with blood.

I wander through the black abyss,

It seems as though naught's amiss.
In the world that I reside.
But it claws at me with burning hate,
it rakes and then it screams,
the ringing in the metal grate,
the cage within my dreams.
I listen for the laughter,
I know it always comes,
the laughing and the grinning after
the sound of metal drums.
The face of hate is black-toothed,
dirty, but not without allure.
It sings and rings above my roof
and I follow with a purr.
I drift among the silver clouds,

I float as long as it allows

but catch only fright.
And it laughs so deep, so content
as it devours me.
I awake with quite shocking lament
and grief is all I see.

The Worst PainThe worst kind of pain,The Worst Pain in Free Verse More Like This
the very worst kind
is the kind you don't feel at all.
The kind you can't 'walk off',
the kind no pill will help,
no doctor will rid.
It's the kind of pain
that exists in your heart,
the pain that comes with love.
The pain that aches but never bleeds,
the pain that makes you want to take
a knife and make it real.
But it's still pain.
And pain fades,
pain goes away.
But love, unlike pain
will never ever cease.
Love is not your weakness,
love is your truest strength,
the pain it brings may burn like fire,
the hole may be hard to patch up
but the love will never die.
And amid that passion,
past the hurt,
burns your brightest flame,
love clouds logic, muddles the mind,
but is that such a bad thing?
The greatest pain you'll ever feel
is the loss of one you love,
the hurt of loving someone much,
but they never love you back.
The pain that comes and aches inside
and hurts until you break.
And you will break,
it cannot be stopped.
But breaking is the last.

Silence filled my room as I brought home the game- Pokémon HG, straight from a seller on kijiji.ca.
I had gotten it cheap because it had been hacked quite a bit, the seller said it had a habit of some pretty bad glitches, but that didn't bother me too terribly much.
In fact it interested me, I started writing a journal of each glitch, keeping a record and adding new ones as they came along.
The Pokémon seemed fairly unaffected minus a few problems with evolution where they would evolve and be glitched or turn shiny.
I had long gotten past golden Rod and now had an Eevee by my side- it was a female who I had named Yuki.

There was no way I was staying up until 4 AM, so I decided to go with 8 pm. I knew my Eevee was at full happiness, since I had stopped her from evolving already with the help of the B button. I looked at my inventory of rare candy, and chose it. As soon as the clock struck 8:00 on the dot, my Eevee began to evolve.
