All 7 variations are included in all the resolutions listed below - means 63 files in total = almost 42MB - be patient while downloading (as I was when uploading) . Yaaaaaaawn... ...let's call it a day.
I proudly present my latest wallpaper. The story: You are in the captain's office right after a larger fight. The ship was heavily damaged but the homefleet was successful. At the moment you are on the search for the rest of the escaped aggressors. The captain starts to have doubts about his mission, his job and his life...
Ok I tried new things in this pic and I'm pretty happy with it's outcome. I ever wanted to creat a flight-scene with larger ships. To avoid confusion: the thing on the right side is an extraterrestrial transmitter. I thougt it's nice to implement new elements to the common stuff. It basically is a mattepainting, textures were taken from cgtextures.com. There'll be only one resolution this time (via download). It's a larger wide-screen so you shouldn't have problems by sizing it down (or adding borders for your personal scree-size).
I appreciate every comment, fav and email, as always :thighthug: Thanks to ~LordDaroth for the title
Hi! My mood lately was for grey more and I was planning to make something with that style from a while! I made the Saturn in a crazy size and I'm happy with it. Whole thing is mattepainting Hope you like it
Hey guys! Here's another new work and my mood was for volcanic stuff lately! You can consider it as more like a fantasy one! I started from making the big planet in the middle and it took much time and it was really tiring for me... Anyways, I kept adding, removing and editing during making it. The rest also took much time and I was just focusing on the whole thing! I hope you like this new work XD
Oh hey guys! Sup? I like to present to you this piece ( well actually not just regular piece and actually a wallpaper!) A space scene with a little dark feel and with other stuff going on! Anyways, it took a while to make. I hope you guys like it and if you'll be like "oh this can be for Halloween" then go ahead i would say more in the description, I'm just freaking lazy but again hope ud like it as well!
I never realized that there wasn't any wallpaperpack of this
Prints updated aswell
I present to you: Untouched
Personal comment Well, after reinstalling windows for the 5th time, and then realising, that my harddisk practically died, I just had to do some art related stuff.
I'm pretty unhappy about this piece, mainly because there are some areas that didn't came out the way I wanted them to be.
mhh, actually, I concentrated my efforts more on the landscape itself, than on the other elements.
What it is: Based on my newest terragenrender I rendered for 14 hours. textures from cgtextures, pixelio and sxc. same goes for the few references I used for the birds. Original size: 7000x3944px @ 300dpi
Hardware: wacom intuos3 a5
software: adobe photoshop terragen and world machine
The hyper basic idea about this piece: Two scouting jets flying through an untouched scenery..
Thanks to `taenaron and ~Pr3t3nd3r for suggestions. And yeah, taenaron pushed me to submit it
I've always wanted to add a sun to my gallery! `taenaron's latest exclusive wip reminded me of that thought This is a wallpaper, the empty space at the top left corner was intended (my trash can icon is there ) p.s.: Most original title ever thanks a lot for visiting!
Original size: 4500x2813px@300dpi time spent: all in all about 5 hours Photoshop cs3, 3ds max & wacom
First of all: I know, this is almost the exact same image as the older version of Sapphire Blue, but there are some crucial changes to the piece. I've read all your comments and your suggestions (thanks, everyone!) and decided to edit it.
The reason why I am uploading this as a new deviation and not just edit my older one, is, that I'm not quite sure, whether to like this new edited version or not. So, I've removed the asteroids, the comet (which was way too random in my opinion) and enhanced the colours a bit. On the one hand, without the asteroids I'm missing the dynamic and depth in this piece, but on the other hand, the overall composition is much better. What do you think?
Furthermore, with this project I have realized that my monitor needs a colour calibration. This will be a pain in the a**!
So anyways, I hope you like it, I'm not sure if I do myself. Maybe I'll decide to scrap one of the two versions later.
Thanks again for all your feedback on the previous version you guys rock!
Feel free to download the new wallpaperpack: 16:9 1440x810 1600x900 1920x1080
The Ebon Hawk's crew from the KOTOR II: TSL. You've seen these all before, but I needed to post something while you were waiting for new micros, so here they are all together.
HK-47, T3-M4, Atton Rand, Bao-Dur and his remote, Brianna the Handmaiden, the male and female Jedi Exile, Visas Marr, Mical the Disciple, Kriea, Mira, Canderous Ordo AKA Mandalore the Preserver, and G0-T0.
I always liked one particular moment in the Mechwarrior 3 intro... This is my rendition of it.
I've worked on this picture on and off since early Autumn and I'm so glad it's finally over and done with. Sorry I kept you guys waiting for this one for so long after those teaser pictures but I just couldn't get it done any faster.
Took the advice of and messed around with the reflectivity / bump map.
also added slight colour variation to the dust trail (although it doesnt really look like moon dust now :\)
also redid the stars, making them less uniform. thanks for the tutorial site even though it isnt exactly a great starfield yet either lol.
Ok, so i think the snow turned out okay(imo). at first i was hesitant to try create some sort of "tracks" for the vehicle but ended up just using a standard box with 30 divisions X/Y then extruding the length of track along the caterpillar drives and then manually tweaking the mesh and using a turbo smooth (new 3dsmax7 modifier ). The texture is some snow texture i found, with a smoke bump map to create a kinda dirty look in the areas where the holes for the two drives went through.
Overall im pretty happy to be able to make a "scene" for this vehicle because i initially wanted to use just the model for the final version.
I couldnt quite get the "bits of snow in the teeth" or piled up in the front of the shovel, but oh well
Render time: 9mins45sec (Mental ray, no GI, no Caustics, no FG)
Scene Polygons: 47k (snow ground 22k)
Photoshop touchup gaussian blur layer (im addicted to using gaussian blur layers to enrich colours, plus i thought the whole snow scene thing could use abit of a softness to it)
On a side note, ive never seen real snow before u_u!
And thanks to for the idea of adding teeth to the caterpillar wheels.
EDIT: Ok, so i went abit overboard with the glow. i turned it down a notch and did some level adjustments. so the vehicle isnt so dark in contrast
EDIT2: Lol that was easy. i just went into acdsee (well i wanted to make it just monochrome) but i accidentally used auto colour and it seemed to make it alot more snow-like so heres the update
Just a tiny bit of fanservice I did for my best friend to help her in her plight of not being able to find any decent Thrawn wallpapers.
Anyway, this was done rather quickly in Photoshop, based on the Japanese cover of Outbound Flight (hence the scan remains which I couldn't get rid of without making the picture extra fuzzy). As to the quote: I think it somewhat captures the essence of Thrawn the Perfectionist, hence the choice.
A quick and dirty manipulation of two SW promos, one from ESB (originally featuring Darth Vader and Luke during their duel at Bespin), the other ROTS (portraying the final confrontation between Obi Wan and Anakin). SW alternate universes have always been tempting, especially when it comes to Anakin and Luke. All the things that could have been…
