So here I finally have finished my half of the trade for :iconmoony92: The picture is about Ahsoka wearing the same costume that Shaak ti wears on the game Force Unleashed. Now I imaginad that I should age her to match her better with the costume. And I made some changes that I thought would help make the picture more memorable. Like the scars for example. And the left sith eye, because I was thinking of perhaps something happened to her that made her almost turn into the dark side. I said almost because she managed to no completely succumb to it. So she is NOT a Sith here, BUT, she has some sith like powers.

Ahsoka Tano and Star Wars characters belong to Lucasfilm Ltd.

UPDATE:

Okay, so here it is finally colored! And thanks to more research I found what more of her new outfit looks like. I think the design looks great, and for some reason, her new costume reminds a bit of Sari Sumdacs'. I would also like to give thanks to *Master-Cyrus for giving tips in how to add textures in several different surfaces of clothes and such.
=======================================
No, this isn't my version of an older Ahsoka, but it's supposedly the official and actual look of the older Ahsoka that she will probably debut by the end of season 3. I found out about it on the force.net's forums with a scanned picture posted there.
[link]
Now the moment I saw it, I was actually surprised, because I never would have expected them giving her this type of look: it's like she went from tomboyish alien padawan girl, to grown up comic book-like heroine. I don't know, I am actually a little mixed up by this look, I actually wanted to see her wearing jedi robes or something. And since it was only the top that the picture shows, I still have to wonder what the button part of her outfit will look like.
And since I already know that she will be using a shoto lightsaber, I imagine she will be using it when she looks like this. And yes, I will color this later.

Ahsoka wearing an outfit similar to that of my OC Maya Jeda. Well here's something that was clearly a no brainer for me, and yet I only actually thought of doing it, lol.

This is a commission. The buyer said "give me an image that could come from Star Wars Episode VII with the characters on Tatooine". This is what I came up with.

Jedi Knight Leia, Han Solo, a wookiee and Jedi Master Luke Skywalker getting ambushed by thugs in Mos Gamos.

Enjoy.

Drawn and colored in Photoshop CS5 using a Cintiq 21UX.

Here's my drawing of the baddies from the prequel trilogy of the Star Wars movies.

For this picture I started off with the idea of drawing a sister piece to my 'Empire' drawing:

... but I had to be selective when choosing which characters to use as I wanted this to be representative of the Clones from both the second and third movies - but that means, I necessarily had to leave some cool characters out.

This is an entirely original picture. First drawn freehand with pencil on paper, then scanned and coloured (over many, many hours) in Photoshop using a Wacom tablet.

Hope you like!

If you've seen the original Star Wars movie - you might remember the scene where the rebel pilots are being briefed for their attack on the Death Star. And you might even remember Luke mentioning that he "used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home".

Looking back it was a bit strange for Luke to have boasted about cruising around shooting animals. This was even parodied in the Family Guy Star Wars episode 'Blue Harvest'. Chris, who's playing Luke says: "Well, I guess I'll go bullseye some womp rats in my T-16". To which Quagmire, who's playing C-3PO retorts: "My God! You shoot small animals for fun? That's the first indicator of a serial killer, you freak!"...

So I thought - why not try to make the whole thing seem a bit more heroic and less borderline psychopathic. The name 'womp rat' implies a furry, harmless creature - but what if they're actually man-eating, spiky-skinned, pointy-teethed, nasty-smelling menaces!?

I wanted to add to Luke's whole mythology - and make the act of shooting a womp rat seem much more impressive. If they were creatures that regularly killed moisture farmers and were hard to spot because they only come out at dusk - Luke could rightly be proud of his boast!

There have been a lot of depictions of womp rats and they mostly look harmless. But if you've ever played the Super Nintendo (aka Super Famicom) version of Super Star Wars - you'll remember that womp rats were shown in the game as pretty fearsome and ugly. So I took that as an inspiration for my version here.

I added Luke's T-16 Skyhopper in the background to suggest that he's just jumped out to have a picture taken (by Biggs?) with his kill. I had to create some landing gear for the T-16 as I don't think they've ever been shown landing? The Hasbro/Kenner toy version uses 'skids' and has the wings fold up - so I kept the folding wing idea but thought the skids wouldn't look right. I also left out the huge gun that's shown in the model T-16 that Luke holds in the movie - although the Hasbro toy model had the ingenious idea of this folding back behind the body of the T-16 whenever it lands. Otherwise - this is based on Colin Cantwell's prototype model as used in the film.

This was drawn in Photoshop using a Wacom pad.

I've always loved the design of the Biker Scouts (aka Scout Troopers) from Return of the Jedi. I think it's amazing how they made this costume look different from the original, iconic, Stormtroopers, but still similar enough that it looks like it's part of the same army.

I've added some Ewoks to make this look like an ambush on (the forest moon of) Endor. The placement of the Ewoks, and the trees behind them are key parts of the composition - designed to draw the viewer's eye in toward the Biker Scout.

This was drawn in Photoshop using a Wacom pad. I rarely use anything other than the standard 'hard round' brush - but for this one, I also used the 'stipple' brush on the Ewoks' fur and the tree trunks. The 'scattered leaves' brush was also a big help in painting the leaves on the trees in the background.

The characters are copyright of Disney - this is fan art and isn't for sale or reproduction.

This here is Captain Craith, my original character. He's the clone captain that lead a lone gunship to check on Commander Colossan (in my previous Clone Wars comic), the clone in charge of executing Master Timo Denn when Order 66 was processed. Craith arrived too late to save Colossan from losing both arms in a brawl with Master Denn, but was able to take out the Jedi with a pistol and the element of surprise.

Craith has since then modified his armor to reflect his support of Colossan to remain in active service after receiving two robotic arms. His paldron and kama reflect Colossan's color of choice. He has since become Colossan's second in command when leading campaigns for the glory of the empire.

He's had the distinct honor of killing a number of Jedi since Order 66 was issued, and when my story begins, he's being hunted down for this very specific reason.

More to come!!!

Now this is how I want my Revan to look like as a Jedi Knight :D . I didn't have the time to color it properly, but I just couldn't leave it black and white, so I filled in all the base colors, which is pretty easy to do once the lineart is cleaned up.

I always pictured my Revan with a green lightsaber while she was still a Jedi.

This pic I drew for acouple of reasons. First I wanted to see if I could do another pic as well as my last Jaina, and that it wasn't just a lucky fluke :D (maybe it is the Jedi outfit :hmm: ). And I also wanted to have a little fun with the issue of what shade of violet Jaina's lightsaber is. I still call the color on the left purple ;p

***edit - May 19, 2008

Filled in the base colors. I was thinking about coloring Jaina's saber purple from now on, but in "Invincible" her lightsaber was (dispite the cover) described as violet and blue twice (maybe three times) so I'm going to stick with the blue-ish shade of violet I've always used.

This is something new for myself (as opposed to something I drew over a year ago ;p ) Last month I got the new Star Wars novel "Knight Errant" about the adventures of Jedi Knight Kerra Holt who is stuck deep in Sith controlled space all alone. Now the novel isn't to be confused with the comic book series of the same name, also written by the author. The novel is actually continuing the storyline started in the first mini-series of the comic (which I haven't read, I'll need to wait for the trade paperback).

So this will be a mini - spoiler free - review of the novel.

Kerra Holt is a young Jedi Knight stuck in Sith territory, on her own after a mission she was on with other Jedi ended in tragedy (most likely chronicled in the comic book). And many of the Sith Lords are fighting amongst themselves trying to control their on territories and the region is not very stable, so knowledge of hyper space routes is not easy to come by, so it's not like she can just find a ship and jump back to Republic Space.

The novel is structured a lot like a serial, with three different adventures, with our Knight Errant dealing with a specific Sith lord in each story. And they do flow well together to make a solid read. Kerra is a lot like Caine (Kung Fu) or David Banner (Bill Bixby's Hulk) or similar roaming hero that gets caught up in these adventures.

The setting is about a 1,000 years before the events in Episode I, so it was very refreshing that this story wasn't bogged down or had to worry about the ton of Expanded Universe canon that has pretty much made the current Star Wars timeline a very cluttered place. And we aren't dealing with these large-scale issues and multi-character plots. It's just a story about a single Jedi Knight who finds herself in these situations and she's also looking to cause some trouble for the Sith at the same time.

It also helps that Kerra is a very well written, interesting character. She's not on some grand scale quest to find the meaning of the Force, nor is she part of some prophecy (at least none that have been revealed ;p ). She's just a Jedi trying to survive in enemy space and help whomever she can along the way.

We also get to see a lot of Sith. Sith drama, sith political conflict, actual Sith conflict ;p Plus, each Sith lord has their own method of ruling their own territory.

I do recommend this book, especially to anyone who prefer heavy Jedi adventure :D or if you want to see some cool (often crazy) Sith Lords.

About the sketch: I pretty much went with Kerra's design for the comic book (they actually have a few page sneak preview of the comic in the novel). Her attire, lightsaber, and blaster. And though I did draw her with short hair, I had to give her long bangs, it's just my way ;p When it comes to coloring her I will differ to the author's description of Kerra in the book. While in the comic she has light skin, the author actually describes her with a dark complexion; brown skin, dark hair, and hazel eyes.

Edit****September 1, 2011

Just a small update on my Kerra Holt WIP. Just added the base colors :D And I scrapped the original sketch

Back from Japan, currently with sore throat and one blocked nostril.

Bought a lot of art swag from Japan, easily plonking $1000+ at Tokyu Hands Shinjuku and Animate Akihabara for markers and comic supplies.

So this one is me trying out said art swag, featuring a random quickie drawing of Female Exile from KOTOR II. Ahhh, I love (somewhat) blending multi-colour accents :)

Medium: Animate Postcard Comic Paper, Col-erase blue pencil, Tachikawa School-G pen, PITT artist brush, Copic markers, and Deleter Comic White.

hmm Im far from my original idea of having only SWTOR commissions done! this one by :iconpaneseeker:

this one covers the very opposite side of known History in Star Wars, well for now, I for one not sure if there is something planned after Legacy. it seems to me there is more stuff known about the past (I mean before ANH or TPM if you will) than after Return of the Jedi
do they wait to have all the characters (leia, luke, jaina, han, etc) dead so that people get use to the idea of having new heroes? even though in Legacy we know none of them is alive of course! or perhaps the future of Star Wars will remain within the current existing eras and will go no further?

well Im babbling!

its Azlyn Rae, Imperial Knight outfit...yep, thats it!

at last, Darth Cognus. well another one. My plan was for one, but he did two. I for one wont complain!! its one of the character I say there should be more of her (check out my alien anthology at Iktotchi, you'll know what I mean!)
I could actually have gotten one for free, since I asked :iconsuppa-rider: for 8 commissions, but looks like Im getting 9 after all. thats for the best, Im not planning to ask anymore commissions in the future. Im pleased to have one extra from him! never disappointed!
