This is not the usual kind of picture you usually see of JLo. it's the first i've completed in full detail. Although it took a long time, it turned out well. hope you like it?

JLo took 21 hours, on A3 200grm paper, using H2-B9 graphite pencils, kneadable rubber, tissue, blending stick. =)

I've decided to re-scan this image as the first didn't do the original justice. Hope you don't mind, it's now as close to the original as i can get it.

I love the reference for this piece, so had to draw it. It took 37hrs on Bristol board extra smooth, using mechanical pencil B2 + H2 to B4 pencils, tissues and erasure.

I had real fun with the jumper and sand!! LOL

Thanks for looking. =) Ref: [link]

I've decided to re-scan this image as the first didn't do the original justice. Still need to get a A3 scanner though, as you can see the link lines. This scan actually shows up more errors than the first, but i guess i can live with that.

Pencil drawing after a photo from kayleighjune
Big thanks to her for allowing the use of her photo as a ref

Ref: [link]

Did try to work more spontaneous on this on (rust on the car, foliage, folds on the dress etc), with mixed results...

overall i'm happy with this, but I'm not very good with foliage, as i don't (yet) have a very good understanding of it (structure etc) so the leafs got more blurry then i intended, and the grass/ground...well, i guess practice is much needed :/

Drawing is about a3 in size and i have basically used a b2 mech. pencil with the occasional b3 for further shading and b8 +f (for burnishing) for some of the darkest parts

Graphite drawing of the actress.
Mostly: 5B, 7B, HB and H.
Smooth, white sketch paper

:faint:This took forever! I find it much harder to draw girls than boys.
This will probably be the last celebrity I draw for a while. I have this idea for a graphic novel that I want to illustrate in my style and I have to start sometime.

EDIT 26/04/2013
Sooo a troll trying to prove I faked this made the most AWESOME gif that shows the drawing is real:
I really love this thing: [link]
I've been staring at it for ages being critical about where I should've worked harder!

Evangeline,

the model was Evangeline Lilly from a Lost season promo picture but this time I wanted to do something different so I added some specail elements to the picutre from my fantasy. The most attractive element is the stole she's wearing, it is a very modern piece from somekind of sheer cloth with stiffening bands(hope that I wrote it correctly).
The sunglass is a usual piece, the city in the background helps to demostrate the modern age where the character is.

My first serious pencil portrait after a long time this is because I'm practicing digital art and in the summer I started to experiment with oil. I begann this image almost a year ago and started to finish it a couple of days ago.

Original size A4. Materials:
-A4 Lana Bristol paper
-pencils(2H, B, HB, 2B, 4B, 9B)
-mechanical pencils(HB(0.5), B(0.7), 2B(0.5))
-erasers
-cloth and paper sticks for smudging

Hope you like it!

Done, done, done! I still have some fine tuning to do-- most likely touching up on the jewels, but that can wait. It's amazing I kept my sanity the whole time-- what's left of it that is.

I have not added anything to my portfolio since November of last year so I thought I'd do something challenging and worth the break I took from my portfolio. Hope you guys like it.

So the netting was brutal. I even did it larger than the photo just so it would go quicker. I don't think I ever want to do that again haha..

So this is totally going to bite me in the ass. I have been awake since yesterday at 10:30 am. I can't go to bed now or I won't sleep tonight which I need to because I have a long day at work tomorrow.

On the bright side-- look at what I finished! This is the beautiful Estonian model Carmen Kass. Don't you just love her bored expression? Plus her neck is obscenely long and I find that very attractive on a woman.
