To this day, I can never shake the connection between this boy, Peeta Mellark, and the bread that gave me hope, and the dandelion that reminded me that I was not doomed."- The Hunger Games, pg 39
Peeta means something very important to Katniss, he symbolizes hope. He is the one who helped her saved her family from starvation by giving her loaves of bread when she was a child.
He is my most favorite character ever! The sweetest, most caring character in the whole book. That's Peeta.
And I just love drawing him. This drawing is Peeta is originally taken from my other piece Always
, but I got carried away while doing the finishing touches I decided that I would post this piece separately. I added the dandelion in the background, because I think that is the most suitable symbol for him.
I didn't use any reference for this piece, this is purely from my imagination. This is how I imagined Peeta while reading the books. I have another painting of Peeta
, but that one is based on a photo of Josh Hutcherson, although I made some changes as well.
I hope you'll like it.
Comments and faves are very much appreciated! I would love to hear what you think.
