Right, I wasn't going to upload this one. I drew it before the other two but I literally don't know why. The pose is random and has no purpose and the proportions and faces aren't right.

But I've been having fun just drawing for me in my, very small amounts, of free time that I get and it's helping to relax me. So here is this little thing.

It is supposed to be Katniss and Peeta.
But I don't like it. I thought about it and maybe Peeta is giving Katniss and piggyback during training for the Quarter Quell in Catching Fire...
But that is an afterthought, so the scene itself is not specific.

What I love about The Hunger Games is that I really don't care whether it's Katniss and Peeta or Katniss and Gale etc.
I'm happy any way really.

I kind of want to go back and re-do this one because the proportions are terrible and so are the faces, but I didn't spend very long drawing it so I'm not surprised.

It's Katniss and Peeta's live reunion after they win the 74th Hunger Games.

Do you know? Do you know how much danger we're in?
I love this little thought Katniss has when she is kissing him.

Anyway, I probably will redraw this, but for the meantime here is this little scrap.

Oh and for those who were wondering, I imagine Peeta's false leg to be like a real leg. Like Luke and Annikin Skywalker get in Star Wars.

So here are my preliminary sketches of Finnick Odair I completed on my mission to Newcastle yesterday and today. I must have changed his hair and face a thousand times and I'm still not sure...

The only one I vaguely think is right is the one of 14 year old Victor!Finnick. (That's the one full body in the middle). The ones on either side are Finnick in the Quarter Quell and the two faces in the middle are random Finnick. (Though they look a little odd...)

Genuinely interested what you think. I'm finding Finnick a puzzling character to draw. It's almost as if I know what I want him to look like but I can't picture it, if you understand me. So tell me what's wrong? What's right? :aww:

This isn't exactly a scene in the books, but it totally should've been :D this is just the lineart, maybe I'll color it sometime. If my photoshop trial hadn't expired.....

(grrr it's tilted! but it's totally my scanner's fault. i did not draw it like that.)

EDIT: Well, I was kind of hoping it would be obvious who's who, but apparently it's not....
So, from left to right it's: Rue, Prim, Cinna, Gale, Katniss, Peeta, Effie, Haymitch, Annie, Finnick, Snow

Gahhh this one took me forever
I'm so bad at perspective. I decided to practice. Please excuse any inaccurate mistakes. I know there's a WHOLE lot that's not right, but I got fed up with trying to fix things (you can probably still see the eraser marks. UGH).
I hope it doesn't come across like the bakery has a huge gaping hole in the side of it. I just wanted to show both inside the bakery and outside in Twelve. This turned out a lot differently than I'd originally intended.....but whatever.
Hope you guys like it :p

I was recently commissioned to draw a scene from Mockingjay, on page 302 of the book. It was a fun challenge to finally draw the Mockingjay armor and I can only hope I did it justice.

In the fluorescent light, the circles under his eyes look like bruises. "There's still time. You should sleep." Unresisting, he lies back down, but just stares at the needle on one of the dials as it twitches from side to side. Slowly, as I would with a wounded animal, my hand stretches out and brushes a wave of hair from his forehead. He freezes at my touch, but doesn't recoil. So I continue to gently smooth back his hair. It's the first time I have voluntarily touched him since the last arena.

"You're still trying to protect me. Real or not real," he whispers.

"Real," I answer. It seems to require more explanation. "Because that's what you and I do. Protect each other." After a minute or so, he drifts off to sleep.

Well considering Katniss & Peeta won for favorite in a recent poll I figured I would draw them.

Peeta, Katniss, and their children. :D
I just wanted to draw the whole family being sweet and happy together sitting in the meadow.

This is how I imagined their son and daughter looking like. Although I made a little mistake, according to the book description the boy was supposed to have curly hair, but I gave him straight hair. =__="
Maybe I'll fix it later.

Comments and faves are appreciated! Enjoy!

EDIT : Changed Peeta's left leg to an artificial one. Thanks for telling me !MaimJaie! I totally forgot about it... :p

To this day, I can never shake the connection between this boy, Peeta Mellark, and the bread that gave me hope, and the dandelion that reminded me that I was not doomed."

- The Hunger Games, pg 39

--

Peeta means something very important to Katniss, he symbolizes hope. He is the one who helped her saved her family from starvation by giving her loaves of bread when she was a child.

He is my most favorite character ever! The sweetest, most caring character in the whole book. That's Peeta. And I just love drawing him. This drawing is Peeta is originally taken from my other piece Always , but I got carried away while doing the finishing touches I decided that I would post this piece separately. I added the dandelion in the background, because I think that is the most suitable symbol for him.

I didn't use any reference for this piece, this is purely from my imagination. This is how I imagined Peeta while reading the books. I have another painting of Peeta , but that one is based on a photo of Josh Hutcherson, although I made some changes as well.

I hope you'll like it. :D Comments and faves are very much appreciated! I would love to hear what you think.

i hated how Katniss was always dissecting Peeta's actions and trying to find out his motives in the Hunger Games. she always expected everyone around her to be manipulative, when Peeta was, in fact, one of the most honest.

she finds this out, but too late. stupid girl.

I was previledged to color :iconburdge-bug:'s beautiful sketch of Peeta and Katniss from Hunger games. It really did bug me how Katniss didn't realize Peeta actually cared for her, and didn't realize that she loved him until it was too late. TEAM PEETA! :woohoo:

Gale Hawthorne and Peeta Mellark of The Hunger Games. Gaaah I love this series. Can't... stop... drawing... Hunger Games fanart...

I have this disease where I can only draw people that look the same age that I am. So these guys are supposed to be around 16 or 17 but I made them look much older than that. So sue me.

Drawn from scratch, no references. Overlaid with watercolor stock from: [link]§ion=&q=watercolor+splatter+stock#/d107n42

First of all, if you haven't read The Hunger Games, go read it now. Right now. Go.

So anyway, this is Katniss Everdeen, from the Hunger Games trilogy. I believe this is the first time I've ever done fan art of a character from a book (not including those that have been made into movies). I must say it's quite intriguing, creating fan art from what I think a character looks like based on words, instead of drawing a character based on pictures. I think I will do more if it. It's fun.

Drawn from scratch using a mechanical HB pencil, then overlaid in photoshop from stock watercolor found here: [link]

Katniss and Peeta from 'The Hunger Games' series

this is a scene from book 2, during the victory tour...
for some reason it made me chuckle to picture the way Peeta was holding the glass of whatever it was that made you throw up so you could eat however much you wanted...

not entirely happy with this piece, but it was good practice

AND i'm feel like im gearing up to actually draw alot of katniss and peeta...
