So recently we have made a big shift in the development of ships and as a result I've not got much to do for a few days at least so I took the opportunity to work on one of the games other races, the Verunas, a rather big and viscous looking race and their ships needed to show this as well as showing the sense that they are rock hard.
Working with Rodrigo (the games creative director) we came up with the above style for their ships as well as a detailed breakdown of their design philosophy which I am rather happy with, Rodrigo's main concept was to make them shark like as well as based on several other nasty sea creatures but keeping the very angular and geometric style of their ships.

We have had issues recently with portraying ship scale without having another ship next to it to show how big, or small, it is so this was a chance for me to mess around with some ideas I had to show scale of ships and I think I managed it. Anyway read it and learn for yourself, a lot of attention and love went into these designs, probably my favourite ship style I've done.

This is the final concept for the Verunas Fortress Class Capital Ship a huge monster of a vessel and one you won't want to run into with anything smaller than an entire fleet.
In the game Novus Aeterno the Verunas are one of the most advanced species and their ships are very tough to kill.
I think these are my favourite species in the game and I had a great time designing their ships.

This giant flying cannon is called the Basilisk, its a Human Capital ship from the game Novus Aeterno. The Basilisk is a long range heavy weapons platform, its slow as hell but has thick armour and can only shoot forwards using either its giant main cannon which spans the length of the ship, you can actually see the ammo chambers that stick out of the sides at the back of the ship, or using its 3 smaller cannons.

As stated in an poll I will do some new design for the Veridian Republic. Mainly new 'modern' models. These designs will be heavilly influenced by the new heading I am taking with the Veridian republic. A more aggressive stand basically with a 'democratic' system only in word since the military will be in control.

Finished it and decided to call it a Same Class destroyer (Same meaning Shark in Japanese). It is mainly a missile orientated ship design with minimal guns but still has several lasers/beam weapons for close in situations)/

As a request by galen82, a good friend of mine, I was honored to work on his design for a battlecruiser in the Chronicles of Man universe.

I do enjoy these sleek and powerful lines of this ship so it was easy and fun to work on.
