'News report: The rain in *name of suburb/island/country/state/otherworldly dimension in which you live in* has been the heaviest in a decade. Experts have no answer as to why the downpour had started so suddenly. Currently, the rainfall is estimated to be *insert no. of inches/centimeters/meters/kilometers* high. The public has been advised to stay indoors as much as possible, and school has been suspended until the rain stops.'
"No wonder the teacher gave us so much homework..." I muttered sullenly to myself while munching on a *insert favourite flavour* hot pocket. There was absolutely a TON of work to do and I obviously wasn't looking forward to it.
At least Mom and Dad didn't need to put up with the rotten weather. They were on a cruise to *insert island/country of choice* for a week, leaving poor me all alone by myself.
I always had Carrie (older cousin) but she was always out when I called in on her. With the horrible weather I doubt she would be away...she was always unpredictable, you could never know.
Stuffing the hot pocket into my mouth I got up from the dining table. I was well-rested, warm, and dry - there was absolutely no reason why I would feel chilly all of a sudden.
It was the same feeling as before, something cold as ice settling right behind my heart. Remembering the glint from earlier, my heart rate quickened. What if it was really....something?
I was an avid Creepypasta reader and my imagination was running wild right this moment. Paranoia was rapidly instilling fear into my body, making my heart pump faster and faster.
"No...Creepypasta isn't real..." I shook my head hard and brushed the feeling off. "I'm over-reacting, that's all..."
Washing the plate, I made a mental reminder to go to *insert supermarket/market of choice* and stock up on food. It would be a loooong time at home.
I just hoped that the uncomfortable feeling would go away soon.
TIMESKIP TO MIDNIGHT
The rain hadn't stopped. I was getting a little bored watching the girl "study" in her room, so I started playing the Wii.
"Ahh fuck it...I can't play properly with this asshole on the floor!" Kicking the corpse aside, I fished out my *insert brand of phone* and dialed Jack's number.
"Hey." A familiar raspy voice appeared at the other end of the line. "Where are you? You've been gone forever, man."
"Its raining fucking hard where I am - "
"Oh, you're in *insert place*? Yeah, I saw it on the news. How's it going there, you got any meat?"
"Sure, just ask Slendy to come find me. I got a bod here." I kicked the corpse again. "He has a Wii and a Xbox."
"Xbox, hmm..." Jack repeated with a hint of a smile creeping into his voice. I listened for BEN in the background and sure enough, I heard a few lines of "JEFF, FUCK YOU". I smirked.
"I'm just gonna stay here until the rain stops or I kill the girl opposite. Don't worry about it, I'll won't leave any DNA here...tell Smile I said hi."
A tall shadow appeared behind me a few moments later.
"Oh, hey Slendy. Guy's right there." I pointed at the mutiliated corpse without looking back, settling down on the couch and switching the channel.
"You know, you should clean your shoes. They're all bloody and we don't want the humans knowing that we really exist when you start walking around with them," Slendy remarked while picking up the corpse. "He isn't even fresh," he muttered disgustedly, waving away a few flies with his tentacles.
"Well what can ya do? Just take him and go, you're messing up the signal already."
As I crossed my arms behind my head and leaned back, Slendy teleported away with the body.
Just before he left, I heard him sigh a little angrily, "Teenagers...!"
Meh. I didn't really care anyway.
