pinning me to the ground under its weight.
Until I forget how to....to...
And everything is good again,
that moment where darkness ensues and then,
and I feel familiar shadows draw near.
Until I remember my eyes are meant to...to...
Fumbling through the actions of the day,
before my mind is set ablaze,
with fires that sibilate then holler out,
catching onto my clothing, forming hot coals upon my mouth.
With blistered lips, and scorching eyes, I realize I'm meant to...to...
And then peace, there it was again,
Leading me through a promenade,

Then the revelation...Am I truly meant to...to...
Life starts and ends with a bright light, but I'd rather stay in the dark.

But it got some 6 000 views! it is MUCH more than my photos usually have! I can not believe this number is correct... I was told that the journal appeared in some dA news section, but I am not sure if that is a reason, because I had no special pageviews, just regular + 400, which is typical for a day, when I post a journal. she was his girl and he was her boy
but it seemed the one she trusted most
was the most unworthy
it seemed the one she thought was so close
was really her enemy
what made him change his mind?
what made him turn away?
she thought their souls were entwined
but all he did was leave her world gray
...That Doesn't Mean...I may not see everything around me...That Doesn't Mean... in Free Verse More Like This
but I know what I'm looking for
I may not hear everything you say
but that doesn't mean I don't care
I may not know where life will lead me
but that doesn't mean I'm standing still
I may not be who you want me to be
but that doesn't mean I'm going to change
Connectedthe stem so sturdyConnected in Free Verse More Like This
yet has thorns
which reminds us that
life may not always be easy
each petal so soft and genteel
can symbolizes our love for each other
we hope and dream of the years ahead
yet we will have our problems but
our hopes, dreams and heart beats
are like each rose petal
connected and built together
we are as one you and me
The Darkwhen time slows downThe Dark in Free Verse More Like This
there is a silence in the dark
where valid voices send up a spark
and expectations meet the mark
these voices cloud the mind
and problems begin to unwind
these voices creep up on us the same
like a never ending dying flame
sorrow and sadness may take control
happiness and love may become hard to discover
but there are no regrets as they start to uncover
in the dark there is nothing to find
its just a mirror showing what was left behind
A KissSome people need a peck or twoA Kiss in Free Verse More Like This
for others a simple smooch will do
but many, a graze may stimulate;
and others may want to osculate.
and then, there are those who need a smack;
for flowery words they have a knack.
but all I want is truly this
a big plain old fashion kiss!
Morning's Musicthe sun has left and night has comeMorning's Music in Free Verse More Like This
the moon appears to be a hole up high
tall thorny tree branches scrape the night sky
almost deep in my dream world
but before too long
the morning sun as my guiding light
pours through to open my eyes
returning to sleep is not within my reach
the red of rose against the patch of green
birds alive in song upon a limb
tweet and compose a beautiful hymn
Imagination CelebrationMy brain was designed to think in marvelous waysImagination Celebration in Free Verse More Like This
to capture pictures of things never before seen
with out imagination the world would have no beauty
to be lost in a world far different from my own
is a wonderful and exciting feeling
I need imagination and creativity to thrive
I always keep my imagination flowing yet with out it
the Earth will stop spinning
then where would I be?
through every drawn or painted line
every stroke or burst of color
I always see something inspiring
through every camera lens with every flash
through every written word or any thought imagined
I am lifted very high and taken to
the next step towards imagination
it is what I have inside combined
with what I see with my eyes
my heart and mind works together
to give me a very creative soul
my words, thoughts and feelings
are captured and should be witnessed by all
imagination will take me on a wild journey
that will set my thoughts free
free to touch, inspire and motivate
free to excite, influence and stimulate
Starduststars like diamonds in the skyStardust in Free Verse More Like This
come out when day turn to night
within this above dark river
they show off their light

with lots of room to fly
they leave their stardust behind
for us to remember them by
Forever Wonderingno colorForever Wondering in Free Verse More Like This
just black and white
everything is gone
nothing is the same
I'm laying here just thinking
when will it be just right?
looking up to the colorless sky
I wonder what went wrong
did all sins overflow the earth?
or was this the end of the song?
stars are falling apart
climbing their way to the real world
but I can't get up and I'm stuck
the sky seems to taunt me saying "Good Luck"
time passes by so slow
and yet I did not know
how long I've been there
laying in despair
when will it end?
as I look at the stars
I'll never find the way into the light
forever wondering when will it all be right
The Love Of A FriendThe love of a friend is specialThe Love Of A Friend in Free Verse More Like This
sometimes it's hard to describe
but someone you can always talk to
and one to whom you can confide
The love of a friend is so different
so honest and so sincere
a faith that will hang forever
with perhaps one occasional tear
The love of a friend is tremendous
so dependable and always there
your pal, partner and true friend
you know that will always care
As the darkest days travel with the wind
the love of a friend is forever
from the beginning to the end
* Nomad*Time of change, years ago* Nomad* in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
Since then life's bittersweet
Cold seeped into my life force
This engendered great remorse.
History coloured many days
Odd wondrous moments enjoyed
Benjamin Disraeli kissed my hand
His charm I managed to withstand.
Was presented at Russian court
Dressed in white my favour's sort
More than a few felt tempted to bite
Kept my fangs well out of sight.
My likeness painted by Vermeer
Gossamer veil so very sheer
Such dedication to his art
Sadness felt when we did part.
Bonaparte, Corsican upstart
Eventually exiled to Elba
Dined on him, his blood so thin
Clear to me he would not win.
Music was constant delight
Dinner with Mozart, one dark night
He was oblivious to fond farewell
Decided to look up Raphael
Life of change, one wish denied
Should love to turn back time
Not possible - it's torture for me
So many people would disagree.

*Sandman Song*Back before time began*Sandman Song* in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
Arose an entity called sandman
His nature empathic, very kind
Elusive recluse, sympathic mind
'Tis said he is of evil intent
Grotesque, misshapen, back so bent
Whispy hair with fingers long
Melodious voice, sandman song
Inspite of how he does appear
'Tis not his wish to instil fear
He is magic and will aid sleep
Lullaby gentle, slumber deep.
