Zim tried not to feel anxious as he continued to wash himself.
"Oh, shut up, Zim! You know very well I asked you to keep a shower running for me before you left the gym! How was I supposed to know you were still using it?! Besides, I thought you hated water! So why haven't you gone home yet?!" Dib snapped right back at the other, peeking out from behind the curtain of his shower to have a look around, contemplating ducking behind various shower curtains until he could reach the towels on the other end of the room.
Chancing a quick glance over at the shower Zim was still standing behind, he took a deep breath before darting out to make a quick dash for the shower curtain closest to his own. He then did the same with the next one and then the next one, drawing ever closer to his prize. When he was about two showers away from where he could see the folded up towels however, he felt his foot slipping against the wet tile floor as he made another mad dash for one of the curtains.

Dib could feel the other's fake eyes following him, watching his every move as he packed up the last of the gym volley balls into there bags, and he couldn't help but wonder why. Why was it that fate was so cruel towards him? Ever since he'd first entered high-school, it seemed every teacher he came into contact with was drawn towards pairing him up with his worst enemy, as he currently was right now. Not that it really mattered when the green menace just sat back and watched.
"You know, you COULD help me with some of this, you jerk." he said, picking up the first bag of volley balls to move them over towards the equipment room.
After an intense gym period in the close to freezing-cold basketball court, their gym teacher had assigned THEM to pack up all the equipment and move it back before heading home. A few weeks shy of the winter break, Dib just wanted to get out of the school's required gym clo

Dib rolled his eyes. Of course Zim would be going off again. This time was no different to the last, except instead of rambling on about the cafeteria food giving him blisters, he was directly addressing the cafeteria drone herself. She ignored him of course, barely casting an eye towards the green 'child' directly in front of her, let alone every other student in the cafeteria for that matter.
How could they not see? Even after a two years of the same nonsense. Dib had at least expected something to change. But no. He was still picked on. Still known as the crazy kid with no friends. The paranormal freak.
Putting his hand to his chin, Dib slowly ate his cafeteria food, trying to blot out the noise of Zim's raspy voice, but it was no good. He could still hear it ringing throughout his head. He almost envied how the other students could block Zim out so easily. He just wouldn't shut up.
The pounding sensation emerging on the right side of his temple didn't help either. The more Zim rant
SelfishI looked out the window as it began to rain. I frowned a bit and looked in Zim's direction. Zim too was wearing a frown, it was a bigger frown than mine. I went back to doodling on my page. Lately me and Zim had been hanging out, mostly out of boredom. I have nothing better to do but study Zim and Zim was having a 'break' from destroying the world so we settled on a neutral agreement to hang out after school. I was ok with it, I mean at first I was suspicious -very suspicious- but Zim was uncaring of my suspicion and eventually it wore off.
On nice days, we would go out to eat at fast food places and I would gorge on whatever I bought while Zim just watched in pure disgust. At one point Zim demanded that I actually chew my food at least 10 times before I swallowed it. I argued with him about it and told him 'you're not the boss of me' a

To say the very least, Gaz wasn't surprised to hear somebody knocking on the door again that day as she went to open it, thinking that perhaps it was just Zim again. "What now- Dib?" she stopped short of her sentence, looking a little surprised to see her brother standing there and the condition he was in. "What happened to you?" she covered up her surprise quickly, as if she didn't already know.
Unable to even bring his gaze up to meet Gaz's, tears still streaming down his cheeks as he sniffled wetly, Dib merely continued to stare down at the ground in somewhat of a daze. "I-I don't want to talk about it...Can I spend the night here...? Please? I don't know where else to go..." his antennae drooped as he knew he couldn't go back to Zim's base.
Sighing, Gaz stepped aside and gestured for Dib to come inside. "He DID tell you, didn't he? All of it?" sh

Leading Dib back to the base, confused as to why it was so quiet but figuring Dib was just being sentimental about something, Zim merely let the others silence slide. "Well, here we are...Uhh...Should I have the computer make you a room? Or would you like to bunk with me?" he asked, looking at Dib questioningly.
Dib finally looked up at Zim at the question. "Ummm...Wh-Whatever you're more comfortable with..." he then looked away to the ground again.
Zim could only look at Dib confused. "Okay...What's wrong now?" he looked worried.
Dib took a few steps back away from the other. "N-Nothing..." he lied.
Zim was really lost now. "Wh-What's wrong?" he asked again, reaching out a little for Dib but pulling back at the last second, sighing and turning towards the house to walk inside, head down. "You can have my room..." he said in a low voice.
Dib took a few more steps away from the door. "M-Maybe I should leave..." he felt uncomfortable now that he was at Zim's base.
"What? NO!" Zim grabbed

Contrary to what Dib thought, Zim could only smile at his words before responding back in a soft voice to him. "But, Dib...Things were different back then. This is special." he leaned in to kiss the boy. "I can wait for this." he assured the other comfortingly.
"Y-You'll be my first...A-And hopefully my only, b-but...But I'm not your first, am I? S-Something was going on between you and your leader, wasn't it? A-At least, something was going on between you two in the past..."
Zim merely chuckled a little, however. "No, Dib. You're not entirely right on that. Yes, I had a fling with my Tallest, before they took over that is...But we never actually HAD sex...We started...But we had never gotten past foreplay." he blushed, a little embarrassed now. "Jerks..." muttered the teenage boy from his hiding spot inside the boys' bathroom stall. He had been stuffed into a locker- AGAIN!- and had to be let out by a teacher after at least two hours of slamming on the door and waiting for somebody to hear him. To make matters worse, he had been yelled at almost immediately afterwards for missing class. A fairly typical day for him, though annoying nonetheless. Things like this had started happening to him on a daily basis ever since he had first entered high school, and the rumor going around that he was gay did not help matters at all. So he found himself once again hiding out in the bathroom, his preferred eating spot during lunch time. Nobody would bother him while he was in there. Well...at least, nobody human.
He snapped his head up from his food when he heard the bathroom door opening and quickly pulled his feet up onto the toilet seat until whoever had entered, left. That's when he heard an all too familiar voice.

"Wh-What happened?" Dib asked, blinking his eyes just barely open to look around before closing them again and sighing when Zim began running his fingers along the length of his antennae. "Mmm..." he sounded out in a content hum.
"You passed out..." Zim pet his antennas gently, trying to get him to feel as good as he could without going too far. "I-I'm sorry, Dib...I don't know how I can fix this..." his voice shook.
A small purr escaping him, Dib merely pushed more into the feeling. "Mmmmm....You promised to stay with me no matter what... Just don't leave me for even a second and maybe things will turn out alright..." he slurred a bit, his mind swimming as he became lost to Zim's ministrations.
Keeping up his rubbing, Zim smiled. "I won't leave you, Dib... I promise... This time I mean it more than ever." he said in a soft voice to the other.

After giving the other's proposal some thought, Dib finally frowned and shook his head. "No! You're lying to me!" he said though Zim wouldn't give up.
"Oooh, come on! How will you know if I am or not unless you let me go and see?!"
"I just know! You always lie to me!"
"Cooome ooooooooon! Aren't you at least a LITTLE curious?"
Dib let go of Zim. "Fine! You can go! I already know you're not going to give me anything no matter how interesting you try to make it sound to me!" he sent Zim a truly hurt look before turning and shuffling away.
"HEY! Zim didn't lie!" Zim grabbed Dib and jerked him back around to plant a big kiss right on his lips.
Eyes growing wide at the small gesture, Dib could only blink a few tears out of his eyes before pulling away with blush, taking a few steps back as he brought his hands up to play with his fingers shyly, gaze fixed on the ground beneath him."Wh-Why did you kiss me? Scooping Dib up bridal style, Zim smiled and carried him upstairs. "Anything specific you want?" he asked.
Antennae still drooping, Dib could only shrug loosely. "Sugar..." he spoke, feeling as though he hadn't had anything sweet to eat in days. He just felt like sprinkling sugar over everything edible in the fridge.
Zim smiled and nuzzled him. "Okay, anything UNDER that sugar?" he asked with a laugh.
"Whatever you have left over in the fridge, I guess...I don't really care." Dib said as he let his eyelids slip closed to rest against Zim tiredly.
As they went up in the elevator to get food, Zim nuzzled him gently. "I'd say we have a lot of leftovers...That is, if Gir hasn't done anything with them yet..." he laughed.
Opening his eyes, Dib looked back up at Zim. "I'll eat whatever you have...These smeets aren't exactly too picky at the moment. They're mostly just making me hungry for ANYTHING really..." he said.
Zim smiled. "Okay. How about that left over Chinese take-out?"

Looking up at Dib guiltily, Zim could only drop his eyes away after a moment. "I'm sorry..." he blushed, knowing he had been getting ahead of himself. "But yeah...I could make you a disguise...You'd have to come back to my base though. The computer has the disguise machine...And...If you wanted...You could stay for a while while you try it out..." he offered, blinking back up at him after a moment or two.
"I-It's alright. I-I just don't want to do something I might regret in the future. But I can go with you to your base if you need me to. A-And if you don't mind, I-I guess I could stay for a few days while I try out the disguise, though I know I won't really be able to go out in public with it."
Smiling at Dib's answer, Zim nuzzled him affectionately. "I understand. So...Shall we go then? Oh! But you might want to pack a few things before we leave..

Zim's eye twitched and Dib ducked out from under the arm, fairly disturbed. "Okay how do you play it?"
"The first person to get creeped out loses," Keef explained. He ran his hand down the side of Dib's face.
"AH!" Dib jolted back and tripped, falling hard on his back. His glasses tilted and hung off of one ear, looking like they would fall at any moment.
"You lose!" Keef shouted.
Zim laughed at Dib before offering him a hand to help him up. It was currently recess, and bored, the two had decided to talk to an old friend and ask him advice on what they should do. They were regretting it now.
"So basically, we feel each other up and the first one to freak out loses?" Zim asked to make sure.
Keef nodded eagerly.

Dib lowered his binoculars and leaned back against the trunk of the tree he was perched in. It was recess and he was doing his usual spying on Zim. They were in Hi-Skool by now and Zim hadn’t managed to take over Earth yet. Not that anyone really expected him to. He’s shown his incompetency so many times Dib stopped worrying about him long ago. He just liked observing the many odd quirks the alien had.
His curiosity was piqued slightly. What function did the antennae serve? As long as he’s known Zim and he’s never really figured it out. He assumed they were for hearing and expressing emotion, as they often shot straight up when their owner was surprised or laid down flat when he was angry. But was that all they were for?

"Come on, Zim!" Dib called from the water. He waved at him. "The water's fine!"
Zim glared at him. "No, I hate Earth water! I didn't want to come to the beach anyway, but you talked me into bringing you here!"
He had used the Voot cruiser to fly them to the East Coast, going down almost to Florida in favor of warmer weather and larger waves. He had bathed in paste beforehand, but he didn't plan on going in the water.
Dib shrugged. "All right, your loss." He fixed his glasses, which were strapped tightly to his head with a band so the waves wouldn't knock them off. Then he swam back out.
Zim eventually sat down in the sand. He was still wearing a shirt and pants, though Dib had convinced him to wear swim trunks underneath, just in case. It was too hot to keep boots on; his legs were getting sweaty. He reached down to pull th

"Well, okay but if something bad happens, I'm blaming you," Zim said, finally walking on his own. He pulled his arm out of Dib's grip and folded them across his chest.
"And we're going to tell him the whole truth," Dib went on as he opened the door.

Zim glared out the window of his house at the deadly white flakes drifting down. They looked so harmless and almost serene. "Then wear a hoodie!"
