Apartment of Four: Chapter 5: The Beginning Notes He re-awoke two days after France had put him to sleep, which wasn't too approved by Spain, he hated when France did that to people, even if he knew well how it was done, it made the Spaniard uneasy, thinking that the person he'd done it to, wouldn't awaken. When he'd awoken, everything around him felt somewhat, nostalgic, and the first face he encountered, was that of the Prussian, he was sitting there staring down at Romano with a slight scowl.
"You sure drool a lot kid..."
It took a few minuets to process those words, but Romano finally raised a hand to his mouth, wiping fingers across it slightly to feel the liquid, automatically disgusted, he rubbed it away with his blanket.
"Pfft... you got a problem with spit or what? Its okay that you drool, Spain does the same thing all the time... ... wow... that feels weird, being able to call him Spain around you.."
Apartment of Four: Chapter 10: Near Death He rushed out, requesting that Prussia look after Romano whilst he was gone. Prussia, without much room for protest, agreed. Slipping on a coat, for it was dismal outside, Spain rushed out, keys in hand, for once not asking the permission of France, not that he'd ever really wanted it, telling Spain many a time that he could just take the car whenever it was desired. He opened the small Mini-cooper's door, ready to leave when, someone got into the passenger seat.Apartment of Four: Chapter 10: Near Death in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

Romano pulled himself up, wincing at a pain that bit at his shoulder, teasing him to try and make it stop. France put a hand to the boy's good shoulder, seeing as he was on that side.

Lovino returned to his futon, even though somewhere deep in his heart, pleaded him to go to Spain, to stay beside him, to smile at him like he'd done when Lovino was feeling as awful as he had been. He owed the man his life... again... and he wasn't sure how he was going to make it u-

Apartment of Four: Chapter 4: The Truth Friday already? Romano grumbled as he heard his phone alarm sound, he wasn't a morning person, that was certain. Reaching over, the muscles in his arm tensed and pleaded for him to stop moving, never the less, he had to turn it off, in fear it would awaken the albino in the room, or worse, his pet bird. He heaved a long-overdue sigh and pushed himself up, much to the dismay of his body, which pleaded him to lay back down, instead of daring the bitter cold of the crisp morning. His nights in the house had gotten better, it seemed that once the bird was used to him, it didn't coo as much, it also didn't hurt that he went to bed earlier than Gilbirt now either.Apartment of Four: Chapter 4: The Truth in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

He could've done that, he could've lived with West and not complained, but, his pride wouldn't let him do that, for he knew he'd eventually dissolve into a series of anguish, they said that loosing one's country always hurt, especially if you were to stay in said country as it was devided to those who would be its new possessors. It felt like years before Romano awoke, and when he did, he was both startled, and somewhat in bliss, to find that Spain was lying there next to him, an arm over Romano's chest, whilst the other was under his own head. He was just laying there, on top of the blanket whilst Romano was under it, it was not surprising at all that Spain had fallen asleep, he'd had many restless nights when he was lead to believe Lovino Vargas was dead. Carefully, Romano placed a hand lightly above the Spaniard's hair, just enough to feel a light brush of the silky strands, he would have placed it there completely, if it hadn't been for
Apartment of Four: Chapter 3: The Secret Hurts His first night in the apartment was a rough one, it seemed 'Gilbird' liked to coo on the hour, his loud, consistent, hoarse coos. When he wasn't cooing, his master was talking in his sleep, or snoring. Romano stayed up more than half the night listening to the Prussian's words. Things about someone named Susan or Carlos, things about war plans that somewhat crept Romano out, and random foods littered the male's speech. Earlier today the little bastard had begged and pleaded for Lovino to join him in the park since his boyfriend, Ludwig, was busy. Lovino of course gave in, but as soon as he arrived, what did he see? Feliciano clinging to his stupid boyfriend.
Lovino continues his self-pitying and assault on the dirt beneath him until he hears a strange noise. He looks around and sees no one else at the park. Chapter Six: How not to stalk
It has been a week since Antonio started working at the restaurant and as soon as he started Lovino has started up a new habit. Every day after school, or around three on the weekends, he will go to a café across the street from the restaurant. It's not that he is stalking, of course, it's simply observing the surrounding area that just so happens to be near Antonio's work while enjoying a nice drink. With a hat and shades on. For fashion. Not a disguise. Because he isn't stalking.
"Ah! Stalking today as well I see!" Matthew teases and Lovino glares at him.
"I'm enjoying a drink! Who would I be stalking?"
"A certain good looking, and quite popular, Spaniard in the restaurant across the street. So tell me, how are the cooking lessons going with him?" He asks and Lovino looks at him confused.
"Cooking? What do you mean?" Lovino asks and Matthew looks at him surprised.

The bastard has a lot of nerve. "So how long does this adult thing last?" He asks annoyed and Antonio smiles at him.
"I will stay an adult forever as soon as you say you love me." Antonio answers before frowning a little. "But if you don't I will go back to being five and I won't remember you "
"How long until that happens?"
Lovino sighs. "You want to maybe I don't know explain how the hell a fairy made you an adult?"
Antonio smiles again. "Of course! You see, when you left I was still upset! I was upset aaaalllll night and was sent to bed without dinner. When I was crying in my room he came."

He should be with the boy in the sea, watching over him and helping him as he had been before being caught. Instead he is up here cavorting with humans and dealing with their strange ways all to see his traitor brother.
He loves both of his brothers, and has been worried sick about Feliciano, yet not once since this journey has his thoughts traveled to his youngest brother with worry. It has been half an hour and the whole way there he's heard Francis and Antonio mention a babysitter for him probably five times. He's not sure what it is, but the ideas of being sat on, or watching someone sit on a baby, are both revolting.
"So you believe Joan will be a good babysitter for the prince, hm?" Antonio asks and Francis nods.
"Oui~! She is perfect with children, very patient and a great teacher. My Joan is also very strong and good with weapons, perhaps she can teach him of those as well!" Francis says and Antonio laughs.

Lovino doesn't have the heart to tell him wood will not float underwater.
Every night Marcello sleeps with Peter; it's the only way Lovino can keep his room without complaint from the boy. Francis has been meeting with Marcello a lot as well, which makes Lovino highly uneasy. When the two get together they both have a strange look in their eyes that Lovino can't pinpoint. A sort of scheming look.

All the bastard is doing is playing with his brothers on the Wii or flirting with Lovino. Granted, the fact he's flirting is technically a sign he's older than a five year old, but still.
Growing bored of the sight, Lovino huffs and heads off to his room to watch TV. He sadly gets no more than seven minutes into the show when Antonio pops in, apparently done with the game.

Lovino sighs, stretching out in his bed next to Antonio. They go back out to sea today, so he decides to let Antonio rest for longer. He stares at the man, bringing a hand to comb through his soft hair. For the past few days everyone has hinted at possible feelings between the two of them, and honestly it has crossed Lovino's mind. There must be a reason Antonio insists he shares a bed with him no matter their location. Sure, at first it could have been to ensure that Lovino didn't run off or get hurt, but now he knows Lovino is powerful and quite loyal.
How does one tell if they are in love anyways? Really, the whole thing is so strange! Sure, he cares about Antonio, but he cares about Matthew too. How exactly do you learn the difference? Sighing heavily, Lovino gets up and leaves the room to find the one person who knows what to do; Francis.

He had moved to California from Spain a year before and if he was going to be honest, it took him a while to adjust and get used to the change. It was scary at first, but his two best friends- Gilbert and Francis- helped him through it. He met them at school and ever since they had been inseparable and that first day they had acted like they had known each other for years.
And that was why Antonio was now walking across the street to the house opposite his own with a bright smile. It was always good to have a friend, right? He approached the other brunette and extended his hand, that smile always remaining and he said, "Hola! I'm Antonio! I live across the street.

He didn't make a move to speak to him, even when they were introduced. Lovino had regarded him with a slightly bored expression and he had turned away and became very interested in his phone. "Do not look so worried, my love. I promise you, this will help us and our countries. We aren't going to hurt the boy as long as we stay here. We're just steering Spain into the right direction." Arthur cooed to him softly, not fazed at all from the commotion and ran one gloved hand through the caramel hair of his underling. He pushed himself forward

The Prussian growled. "Not for long, he isn't." He hissed in annoyance, standing he let go of the younger boy. His lengthy, pale fingers curled over the handle of his knife strapped at his side. He was tired of this boy. "I'm going to rid the world of you once and for all, boy."
"Men! Watch this battle and cheer for the death of a man! The Turkish warrior, Akbatun against the opposing force, a prisoner of Captain Gilbert Beilschmidt, Francis Bonnefoy! Let it begin!" A voice ran through the stadium as the Prussian climbed the stone steps leading him towards the crouching American.
The crowd screamed and hollered as they watched the Frenchman begin to take on the Turkish man, not noticing the two in the stands with them glaring coldly at one another.
"You will not ruin this, boy." Prussia snapped, watching the teen back away as he finally leveled with him.

England raised a large brow and grinned a little. "What? You expect being a pirate's slave would be smooth sailing, little thing?" He cooed mockingly, causing the little Italian to shiver and clench cowardly onto the Spaniard's coat.
It was quiet between the four. Alfred just kept swinging his feet playfully as he sat beside Arthur, who only looked between the other three while sipping his large jug of rum. Antonio had wrapped his arms protectively against the quivering boy in his lap and kept his eyes cautiously on the Brit.
Finally getting annoyed by the silence between them, England slammed his glass down, motioning for a refill and attention. "Rude as always, Antonio!" The Brit scoffed. "Not even bothering to introduce your new comrade to us or talk?"
"You don't need to know his name!" The Spanish man spat back quickly.
England rolled his eyes. "I know his name, stupid twat.

A cruel laugh fluttered from the Prussians pale lips. "To go meet Sadik, of course." He grinned at the horrified faces and hummed quietly. "Hmm, but since we no longer have Alfred to fight we need someone else " His crimson eyes grazed slowly over each form.
Not the Italians, they were practically useless when it came to strength. Not to mention the older one was injured. He could hear the shouts of many crew members, yelling there good mornings and greeting to Antonio. Who, didn't hesitate to answer each of them with that silly grin, a wave and a "Good morning" back.

Prussia was done waiting for a miracle to happen and looked away from the spot both of the men had died. Then, he coughed roughly, cocking the pistol he held once again.

It's actually the other way around. When a man has a child, it brings out the boy in him that hasn't been there for a long time.
I see it in Antonio. Usually he's so composed, but around her, he's completely the opposite. Instead he makes mistakes to make her laugh, and says ridiculous things to make her smile. There's a playfulness in him that I never saw before she was born. Around her, he sort of glows. Not that he didn't before. It's just that now, it's so much more obvious and permanent.
So when I happen to see them in the kitchen, and catch Antonio dropping something just so that she'll giggle and chastise him, I can't help but smile a little. He's got a handful of cherry tomatoes that he can't seem to carry properly, and they keep slipping from his fingers into her lap. Lovino had to agree. The September air had begun to transform the nearby oaks into various shades of gold and auburn, and soft breeze was tugging them back and forth, causing them to every so often emit little patches of vermillion into the autumn sky. The day was made even more beautiful by the grinning, green-eyed Spaniard sitting beside him on the park bench. Antonio had an arm resting around his shoulder, and Lovino permitted himself to rest his head ever so slightly against Antonio's. But only because he knew Antonio would be sad if he didn't. It wasn't like he enjoyed it.
"It isn't going to be for long. Winter's coming fast this year," Lovino said, looking up into the sky. Clouds were gradually collecting on the horizon.

Italy and Germany sat across from each other at Germany's small kitchen table. For the first time in a long time, Germany had company on New Year's eve. Secretly, there was no one he'd rather be spending the holiday with. He was equally glad that Japan had been busy, so that there was no one else there to divert the Italian's attention.
Between them on the table was a glass of ice cold water and a bowl of molten metal. According to German tradition, you were to pour one drop of the metal into the water, and whatever shape it became was a prediction of your future. Germany hadn't done it since he was a very small child, but he wanted to do something to occupy Italy.
Italy took the bowl in gloved hands and poured a drop from it into the water. They both watched intently as the grey liquid morphed around.

There was no better feeling than knowing that some fifty people were before him, adhering to his every command and executing them with perfection. Nothing made him feel more magical than the sound of an entire orchestra, perfectly together, perfectly in tune, perfectly following his rhythm. It made him absolutely euphoric.
The only thing that would make it better would be to have an audience. But in a week he'd have one; for now he settled for rehearsal.
His orchestra was just reaching the climax of their piece. So far it'd gone flawlessly; the part that the celli normally played out of tune had actually flowed perfectly, and the brass section was at just the right volume. It was a hard song that he'd been working with them on for weeks. Roderich was very pleased.

Romano found watching Spain break unbearable. He turned his head so that he wouldn't have to watch. He still loved the silly Spaniard, with all his heart, but Spain clearly did not love him as much as he loved him. "I think you better leave..." he said quietly.

A clear high voice rang out from the grassy hill. Germany, who had been kneeling and staring at some wild flowers looked up and turned to see where the voice had come from.
Rang the voice again.
He scanned the grassy field behind him and soon saw a small girl dressed in a light green dress with a bright clean apron running towards him. She stopped in front of him, her reddish-brown hair slightly messy from running and a small curl sticking out from the left side of her head. She smiled at Germany.
"I'm so glad I found you, --------," she said happily.
It was strange. He knew the girl was saying his name, but for some reason it was muted out.
"What are you doing here?" the girl asked.
Suddenly, for some reason, he felt some heat rise up in his cheeks and his heart start beating a little faster. Germany was confused at these changes and wondered if perhaps it was because of the small child in front of him. But why would a person cause these changes?
