Apartment of Four: Chapter 4: The Truth Friday already? Romano grumbled as he heard his phone alarm sound, he wasn't a morning person, that was certain. Reaching over, the muscles in his arm tensed and pleaded for him to stop moving, never the less, he had to turn it off, in fear it would awaken the albino in the room, or worse, his pet bird. He heaved a long-overdue sigh and pushed himself up, much to the dismay of his body, which pleaded him to lay back down, instead of daring the bitter cold of the crisp morning. His nights in the house had gotten better, it seemed that once the bird was used to him, it didn't coo as much, it also didn't hurt that he went to bed earlier than Gilbirt now either.
He got to his feet, hearing the floor beneath him creak a bit, it was wood after all, what could one expect? The loud sound of the wood adjusting itself made the Prussian man stir, but thankfully, he stayed asleep, a great relief to our main protagonist. All through
Apartment of Four: Chapter 3: The Secret Hurts His first night in the apartment was a rough one, it seemed 'Gilbird' liked to coo on the hour, his loud, consistent, hoarse coos. When he wasn't cooing, his master was talking in his sleep, or snoring. Romano stayed up more than half the night listening to the Prussian's words. Things about someone named Susan or Carlos, things about war plans that somewhat crept Romano out, and random foods littered the male's speech. When he'd finally settled into a constant and lasting sleep, he found morning came quicker than per usual, squinting into the light of day as his eyes focused on the back of the familiar albino.Apartment of Four: Chapter 3: The Secret Hurts in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
"You don't have to be awake, jeeze kid! Go back to sleep!"
It was obvious that Gilbirt was getting ready for school, the rustling of his items being the cause of Romano's awakening. Grumbling, Lovino covered his head and turned over, when he did, the rustling of items seemed to get louder, Romano had a
Apartment of Four: Chapter 5: The Beginning Notes He re-awoke two days after France had put him to sleep, which wasn't too approved by Spain, he hated when France did that to people, even if he knew well how it was done, it made the Spaniard uneasy, thinking that the person he'd done it to, wouldn't awaken. When he'd awoken, everything around him felt somewhat, nostalgic, and the first face he encountered, was that of the Prussian, he was sitting there staring down at Romano with a slight scowl.Apartment of Four: Chapter 5: The Beginning Notes in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

It took a few minuets to process those words, but Romano finally raised a hand to his mouth, wiping fingers across it slightly to feel the liquid, automatically disgusted, he rubbed it away with his blanket.
"Pfft... you got a problem with spit or what? Its okay that you drool, Spain does the same thing all the time... ... wow... that feels weird, being able to call him Spain around you.."

"Then what about staying with him?"
He could've done that, he could've lived with West and not complained, but, his pride wouldn't let him do that, for he knew he'd eventually dissolve into a series of anguish, they said that loosing one's country always hurt, especially if you were to stay in said country as it was devided to those who would be its new possessors. For now, he was able to roam the streets, flashing smiles to unsuspecting strangers whom merely gave him scowls in return.
It was the first sign that the world was a cruel place, perhaps there was no where, where the world wasn't cruel, whether you be a country or a regular person living a daily life... for if you are a country, all is dec
Hetalia: Apartment of Four : The Only Chance Living with three complete strangers, wasn't on my agenda this summer, I was supposed to keep calm and enjoy myself, being that I was apparently, immortal no longer, but instead, I ended up in a rough patch and living with three guys I'd have rather not gotten tangled up with. Actually... maybe that isn't true, because in the time I was with them, I did things I'd never drempt of, found out how people can be a family without being related by blood at all, and... It was a dull day for Lovino Vargas, a male of twenty three years. He had a surplus of money, just no where to spend it, entering into a coffee shop, he sat in a seat nearest to the window, reading an add in the local paper, hoping to find somewhere to go, for he was recently kicked out of his original home, at least for the summer, to see if he could cope being on his own, which, he wasn't so sure he could. Sipping the overly hot cup of coffee, he leafed
Apartment of Four: Chapter 2: The Girls Next Door The two of them exited into the hallway, and then back into the living room, where they found the Prussian flat on his face and a woman with flowing honey-colored hair with her foot on his cheek, she was also holding a pan, which Romano found a bit odd, but dismissed, since everything here was odd.Apartment of Four: Chapter 2: The Girls Next Door in Introductions & Chapters More Like This

"Dear Elizabeth, I apologize, we just got a new tenant and he didn't know the door stuck..."
Elizabeth, she seemed fierce, and Lovino couldn't really make out her accent too well, though he hardly found this the time to ask. Basically jumping off of Gilbirt's face, which really seemed painful, 'Elizabeth' walked up to Spain, moving him to the side so she could get a better look at the 'new tenant'.
"Jeeze Liza.. he's an Italian man, and get this, he's twenty three!"
She looked Lovino Vargas up and down, causin

It pained me to hear him wince and yell and shake his head as he tried to get situated the best he could. Yet... I couldn't bring myself to say a word to him, for I was young, and I was terrified. I hated his pirating days. I absolutely loathed them, because there were many days he came home like this, but I never knew what was ailing him, because I never got close enough to ask. I was too terrified, being out on the salty sea that tickled the bottom of his ship, taunting it with its unknown ways, had changed Spain, it changed him for the worse, it made his blood thick, and dark, and he in general, had an unnaturally blackened heart.A Pirate No More: Spamano in Short Stories More Like This

It felt like years before Romano awoke, and when he did, he was both startled, and somewhat in bliss, to find that Spain was lying there next to him, an arm over Romano's chest, whilst the other was under his own head. He was just laying there, on top of the blanket whilst Romano was under it, it was not surprising at all that Spain had fallen asleep, he'd had many restless nights when he was lead to believe Lovino Vargas was dead. Carefully, Romano placed a hand lightly above the Spaniard's hair, just enough to feel a light brush of the silky strands, he would have placed it there completely, if it hadn't been for

Romano stopped, there was the Spaniard, standing there alone, proud, happy, wind blowing through rugged brown hair and casual dress. He looked so content, so pleased, so.. amazing, standing there in a solemnly pleased way. It made, for once, Romano smile so warmly, warmer than the scene that stood before him, he was happy too, he was actually happy.
He was horrified, he was absolutely terrified of walking through those huge heavy doors, afraid of what everyone would think, what everyone would say... but.. it wasn't too awful, for he wasn't alone, there was someone at his side now that would protect him with all his might, and that made the thought of his return all that more bearable. Thus, the two stood outside the big doors.

Chapter One: His royal merman
Mermaids are beautiful creatures, no matter the gender. They, like most living things, have a sort of hierarchy. It consists of royalty, high class, middle class, all those that are in human societies. The main difference between them and humans, aside from the water and tails, are their royalty. Unlike human royalty, mermaid royalty have earned their crown.
In their blood lies special abilities; their tears create the most valuable jewels on land and water, and they are able to go on land by sprouting legs. For many years a common misconception was their inability to come on land, then they thought all of them were capable of it. It was only a few years ago, when a merman from the waters of northern Italy came on land for a man he loved.
He informed the world it is only their royalty with these abilities, and others that he

Lovino wonders the ship, as usual, until he notices someone strange. It's a child, a small blonde haired boy that looks similar to Arthur. The boy is slightly younger than his youngest brother, making him a little nostalgic. The thought of his little brother also makes him feel guilty. He should be with the boy in the sea, watching over him and helping him as he had been before being caught. Instead he is up here cavorting with humans and dealing with their strange ways all to see his traitor brother.
He loves both of his brothers, and has been worried sick about Feliciano, yet not once since this journey has his thoughts traveled to his youngest brother with worry. Marcello is still constantly on his mind, but not until seeing this small and frail looking boy on board has the thought that his baby brother could be hurt crossed his mind. What i

"Of course I am! I do not allow filth to touch me!" Francis says and Lovino raises a brow.
"Antonio said you used to cavort with the seediest of whores." Lovino points out, making Francis smile nervously.
"Eheheh .really now ? He tells you everything, does he?" Francis asks and Lovino shrugs.
"I suppose maybe."
Francis sighs, placing a hand on Lovino's shoulder. "If only I had found you before Joan, I could have had so much fun with little Antonio over you!"

Lovino stares at Francis annoyed as they walk to an apparently 'far more beautiful' place than the tavern the two men brought him to earlier. It has been half an hour and the whole way there he's heard Francis and Antonio mention a babysitter for him probably five times. He's not sure what it is, but the ideas of being sat on, or watching someone sit on a baby, are both revolting.
"So you believe Joan will be a good babysitter for the prince, hm?" Antonio asks and Francis nods.
"Oui~! She is perfect with children, very patient and a great teacher. My Joan is also very strong and good with weapons, perhaps she can teach him of those as well!" Francis says and Antonio laughs.
"That's funny! I'm not going to have Lovino taught by anyone but me how to fight. He must learn the best."

Lovino watches as Antonio and the other men dock them, shirts flying off as they get overheated in the summer sun. Naturally the whole thing disgusts the prince; men showing off their bare skin and the sweat dripping down their toned chests-truly a gross sight to see. Of course when he first arrived above water he was foolish enough to try and go naked, but that was from mere ignorance. How could one be so purposefully vulgar?
"Hey! Lovino!" Matthew calls, bringing the prince out of his thoughts. "Did the captain tell you what we are doing here?" He asks and Lovino shrugs.
"Not really he said it was a surprise." Lovino mumbles, his eyes not leaving Antonio, whose hair is now out of its normal ribbon and draping over his shoulders in a completely non-appealing way.

Antonio walks around annoyed, Marcello and Peter talking his ear off. It was bad enough that he ended up with Marcello today, but did Lovino really have to go off without him? He didn't even tell him, so when he was ready to leave all he had was an angry Marcello with no idea where his brother was. If Matthew is stealing his treasure, there will be war. Francis' cousin or not.
"Hmph, how could you lose my brother?" Marcello grumbles and Antonio looks to him annoyed.
"He is your brother, I would assume with how up his ass you are that you would be keeping an eye on him."
"You guys are aware he's old enough to go off on his own, right?" Peter asks, receiving a dark look from Antonio and Marcello. "N-never mind "

Antonio introduced Marcello to the two crews, who warmly welcomed him; especially Arthur since now he technically has his own mermaid thanks to Peter. They have returned to the ship, a machine that fascinates Marcello. He constantly pesters anyone he can about how it works, quickly writing their answers down. Lovino doesn't have the heart to tell him wood will not float underwater.
Every night Marcello sleeps with Peter; it's the only way Lovino can keep his room without complaint from the boy. Francis has been meeting with Marcello a lot as well, which makes Lovino highly uneasy. When the two get together they both have a strange look in their eyes that Lovino can't pinpoint. A sort of scheming look.

Peter and Marcello wander around the town; Marcello trying to find Peter's crew and Peter desperately trying to avoid them. He doesn't know much about Antonio, but he can't just knowingly introduce the man to someone who wants to murder him. Purposefully going as far away from where he knew the men had been before, Peter looks around feigning confusion. "How weird, I don't see them anywhere. I was so sure they would be around here."
"Oh really?" Marcello asks unconvinced. "Are you positive you are not trying to avoid them because I wish to kill one?"
Peter tenses up. "I-I just he and Lovino get along really well, you know ? If you killed him you might hurt Lovino."
A dark look comes to Marcello's eyes. "I do not wish to have my brother close to a man who would kidnap him. He must die."

Lovino wakes up with an intense feeling of melancholy. Last week Antonio informed him that he could not leave, so he cannot see his youngest brother. Today they are docking in some random town to get supplies and all Lovino wants is to get away long enough to see his brother, just a little while. He knows Antonio won't allow it though, the man 'needs' him around.
A heavy sigh escapes the man's lips as he sits up in bed, paying no attention to the man next to him. It isn't fair to be torn between two brothers. Why could his father stop at him? Was that so much to ask? Lovino's eyes going to the large tub of water still in Antonio's room. The water has been changed every few days, even though he does not go in it. Perhaps it will help him clear his head. Granted it isn't large enough to do laps or anything, but surely it will feel good to return to

Chapter Four: His Royal Landing
Lovino paces around Antonio's room, his face bright red. He's been on the ship for a month now, creating his quoted amount of jewels every night, yet he is still mistreated! Every time he leaves the bedroom, Antonio comes out of nowhere and latches onto him so people believe they are 'together', since apparently that is the safest thing for Lovino. It's such a big title that everyone only calls him by 'the Captain's lover' or 'the Captain's mermaid', its degrading! He has a name!
Not to mention all of the touching and strange words like 'honey' are annoying. Why would he want to be some sticky human food? Just the thought of being sticky grosses him out. It must be an insulting name.
"Lovino, we're arriving at port soon." Antonio says, entering the room where the boy is pacing. "Ahhh you're still worked up over a simple slap on the ass? You nee

Matthew hadn't moved from his spot against the wall, laying away from the others, he didn't speak or look at them. Normally this may sound normal for the shy boy but he was unresponsive to offering of food and water or to wash up. He would simply stay as he was, and each time this happened Arthur would fearfully check to make sure the bloody blonde was still alive. But he was. His skin was hardly there, it seemed, as lifeless as a broken doll he just bounced up and down as the cart moved. That was his only movement and even the Italians couldn't get him to change.

Still, Canada hadn't gotten better though doctors treated him almost 24/7. France refused to leave his side and the whole thing gave Romano a shady, almost sickening feeling that left him uncomfortable and unable to sleep.
Lovino's hazel eyes were heavy though he kept them open, staring emptily at the ceiling above him. He glared at all the tiny cracks and straggly elevations that were imprinted into the ceiling's warm color.
Each member of the group had been moved into their own bed rooms now. Each one was still warm in color and blankets piled on top of one another on the wide beds, but no room seemed as peaceful and inviting as the other they had been in before with the fireplace. It just relaxed Romano as he stared into the fire burning in front of him, surrounded by his new friends, though he'd never tell them

Matthew's heart throbbed agonizingly in his wounded chest, and his French captain towered over him with saddened eyes as he watched.
Vacant seconds turned to early minutes, and unbearably measured minutes turned into half an hour gone by.
Still no Alfred. Still no Arthur.
Prussia was done waiting for a miracle to happen and looked away from the spot both of the men had died. Then, he coughed roughly, cocking the pistol he held once again.
"Ludwig, tie up my old friend. I'll get Francis." He ordered, receiving a nod as he pointed his gun towards the Frenchman.
France didn't try to run. None of them did. Matthew just kept crying as Francis picked up his trembling form, holding him close as he was escorted along with the Italians still embracing one another in fear by Gilbert. Spain walked in front of them with Ludwig, and now Franci

Arthur? England he was awake. That must mean this voice belonged to whoever it was they were on their way to see, didn't it? "Oh? Did Matthieu already leave?" France looked around, bothered by this.
"Yeah." Lovino grumbled from under the covers. "He went to see you guys and then went to his room."
"Came to see us?" Spain butted in in confusion as his friend helped him into a nearby chair. "But he didn't come visit us."
"Then he must've listened to me and went to bed!" Romano growled loudly, wanting the two to be quiet.

Moving farther and farther away from the little town, soon the only thing Matthew's violet eyes could see when he looked left and right were the dark trees of the thick forest, the merciless waters of the sea and of course, more sand.

The younger Italian smiled and hugged his older twin. Lovino eventually let go of his younger brother and turned to Antonio.

Lovino hugged the Spanish man tightly with a few tears falling.

The older Italian looked at his brother, then back at everybody else and sighed.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, we are in serious trouble. We are currently $30,000 in debt, without paying it back we end up in jail. All of us. I know you're thinking 'No problem, you just have to pay it back', thing is, we can't. We don't have the money to pay it back."
Antonio's eyes widened and noticed pure sadness and a few tears falling from Lovino.
"As for me and Veneziano...we'll be killed for being in charge... It has been fun, all of you made this Mafia happen not me and Veneziano... You all are amazing, and we'll never see each other again... I'm sorry..."

SpaMano - Mafia - Chapter 8 When morning came, Feliciano was in his own room ( because Ludwig carried him there) and Lovino asleep in Antonio's arms once again. The older man woke up first, watching his lover sleep a while longer. He sighed and thought about him and Lovino, that if Lovino really loved him or just liked him a lot. Antonio was almost afraid to ask him, worrying that he might hate him. "Do you...really like me?"
"Si, si. Now, think really hard about this. Do you love me?"
Lovino froze, the man's words playing over and over again in his mind. He couldn't really think what to say. Antonio got slightly worried at Lovino's silence.

"No 'buts', you're sore and I don't want you to put any stress on your body."
"What about all the paperwork?"
"Me and Ludwig will handle it."

Lovino was tackled by his obviously terrified twin. Feliciano buried his face in his older brother's chest, letting a few tears fall.

It's actually the other way around. When a man has a child, it brings out the boy in him that hasn't been there for a long time.
I see it in Antonio. Usually he's so composed, but around her, he's completely the opposite. Instead he makes mistakes to make her laugh, and says ridiculous things to make her smile. There's a playfulness in him that I never saw before she was born. Around her, he sort of glows. Not that he didn't before. It's just that now, it's so much more obvious and permanent.
So when I happen to see them in the kitchen, and catch Antonio dropping something just so that she'll giggle and chastise him, I can't help but smile a little. He's got a handful of cherry tomatoes that he can't seem to carry properly, and they keep slipping from his fingers into her lap. Then his eyes widen at his mistake, and he apologizes as if he's just committed murder, and she pats him on the head and tells him it's okay. And he let's out

Lovino had to agree. The September air had begun to transform the nearby oaks into various shades of gold and auburn, and soft breeze was tugging them back and forth, causing them to every so often emit little patches of vermillion into the autumn sky. The day was made even more beautiful by the grinning, green-eyed Spaniard sitting beside him on the park bench. Antonio had an arm resting around his shoulder, and Lovino permitted himself to rest his head ever so slightly against Antonio's. But only because he knew Antonio would be sad if he didn't. It wasn't like he enjoyed it.
"It isn't going to be for long. Winter's coming fast this year," Lovino said, looking up into the sky. Clouds were gradually collecting on the horizon.
"It is a bit chilly out " Antonio agreed. Both of them were wearing coats of medium thickness to fend off the cool gusts of wind.

The only thing that would make it better would be to have an audience. But in a week he'd have one; for now he settled for rehearsal.

Italy and Germany sat across from each other at Germany's small kitchen table. For the first time in a long time, Germany had company on New Year's eve. Secretly, there was no one he'd rather be spending the holiday with. He was equally glad that Japan had been busy, so that there was no one else there to divert the Italian's attention.
Between them on the table was a glass of ice cold water and a bowl of molten metal. According to German tradition, you were to pour one drop of the metal into the water, and whatever shape it became was a prediction of your future. Germany hadn't done it since he was a very small child, but he wanted to do something to occupy Italy.
Italy took the bowl in gloved hands and poured a drop from it into the water. They both watched intently as the grey liquid morphed around.

If he listened close enough, he could hear the voices of the three vampires in the room beside his own. If he listened hard enough he could make out snippets of the conversation... and it didn't look good. From what he could make out, none of the other males seemed to know what to do.

He'd say he didn't care. He'd say that he wouldn't miss the Spanish nation if he was ever asked if he would. He said that he would be perfectly fine alone during that time. He said that he could cope without him.
And he was... for a day or two at least. Lovino loved the freedom of doing whatever he wanted whenever he was alone. There was no Spain to boss him around. There was no Spain to tell him what he could and could not do, to tell him where he could and could not go. No Spain to tell him he shouldn't eat too many tomatoes or he will be sick, no Spain to tell him when he should go to bed. No Spain to tell him to do his chores. No Spain to tell him to stop being lazy and help out once in a while.

Antonio stared at his two friends wide eyed; they had found out. They had found out sooner than he had expected. Either they were very good at detective work or the culprit was very bad at staying hidden.
"You have found out?"
"Well I said we think we know," Gilbert said and looked at the sleeping Italian beside his Spanish friend. Antonio too turned his gaze to Lovino and the look in Gilbert's eyes told him that this couldn't wait until he woke up on his own. Slowly, Antonio adjusted his position and gently shook Lovino's shoulder.
"Lovi wake up "
The Italian groaned as h began to stir; he moved his hand to swat weakly at the vampire's chest, attempting to get him to leave him alone. Antonio chuckled lightly, but didn't let that deter him. He shook the Italian's shoulder once again, this time slightly harder, "Lovino, wake up. This is important

Lovino remembered the day he met Antonio. It was an accident really. If he hadn't have stayed those extra ten minutes at Feliciano's apartment then he never would have seen him.
Those bright green eyes and that cheerful smile were the first things he noticed when Antonio walked into the room (he was visiting with the potato bastard's brother). He didn't make a move to speak to him, even when they were introduced. Lovino had regarded him with a slightly bored expression and he had turned away and became very interested in his phone. He had failed to notice that Antonio had been constantly looking over to him as the rest of the friends began their conversation.
He remembered when he had been idly playing on one of the apps on his phone when he noticed someone sit beside him. He glanced up at the smiling Spaniard next to him and he snapped, "What?"
"Hola! I'm Antonio!"

What the fuck was taking him long?!
Lovino paced back and forth his apartment, hands gripping his hair and his breathing quick and panicked. Feliciano would be all right... he would be just fine. He probably went out and forgot about the pasta... no, that wasn't like him at all, he would never forget about the pasta. But that didn't explain the state of his room. Things were knocked off his desk, as though he had backed up against it in retreat, his bed was a mess... as though he has scrambled over the covers in order to get away. The door was open slightly, as though he had almost made his escape but had gotten there too late. And the blood on the window ledge... well, Lovino didn't even want to think about that.
He felt sick. He didn't know where his brother was but he had a good idea who had taken him.

The shift at the pizza restaurant was going too slow for Lovino's liking. He sighed and glanced at the time; not even an hour had passed yet and he just couldn't wait for his shift to end so he could get home.
It was boring; the place wasn't even busy and he had nothing to do. It was a Friday night and he didn't understand where everyone was. Then again, in his opinion, this place wasn't the best place in the world. He, personally, would never bring a girl here on a date. It was just he shuddered a little at the thought.
He heard voices outside the restaurant and he glanced up to see who had dared approach this dire location. Three males stood outside the building; one with wavy blond hair, one with an egotistical smirk and red eyes and the last male was tanned with green eyes. Lovino just rolled his eyes; probably friends coming home from a drunken night out and wanting pizza after wards. Great.
He heard arguing outside. The red-eyed male was declaring someth

Of course, the ex-nation didn't have to go to these meetings but he went anyway so he could annoy the other countries.
Germany had decided to leave with Italy that afternoon so Prussia had the house to himself. He hung his jacket up on the hanger by the door and walked straight into the kitchen and grabbed himself a cold beer from the fridge. Savouring the taste, he smiled to himself and allowed himself to relax as he took another swig then walked into the living room. However, he was not expecting to find another person sitting on the couch.

Lovino looked over at his room mate, Antonio, and scowled, "It's fucking raining."

"You'll fucking turn into a tomato if you continue eating so many," Lovino stated and got himself comfortable on the couch. Antonio beamed, "So will you!"

Because, something tells me that he's still here.
