a collaboration with my very good Amiga - *insektokutor

I've been wanting to do a collab with Estela for a long time now, but nothing suitable has come along... then I had this idea for a really f00ked up wallpaper kinda along the lines of a Giger painting.

So I asked Estela to contribute some photos of herself which I added to ones taken of myself and built it up from there.

My camera: Fuji 6800z
Estela's camera: Sony DSC-S30

Manipulated in Photoshop over 2 hours.

please take the time to check out * insektokutor gallery, it rocks :)

bored with spikey floaty things. Let's have swirly vector 2D things instead.

basically I wanted a new desky and this kinda made itself really. Dead simple 3D studio trendwhore render with some Adobe Illustrator 2D and Photoshop colouring and brushing.

made for my desktop, thought someone else might appreciate it too.

*meep*

*EDIT* just noticed that the full view is very shite quality. I'm gonna upload a 100% perfect version a.s.a.p.

um...

Just trying to experiment really, I didn't set out to do anything clever, just wanted to evolve my style a little.

started with a flat gradient and mixed in 2 old Bryce renders I had on the HDD, then rendered a handfull of 3DS meshes to add texture.

Working from the premise that its a wallpaper, I wanted a lot of flat space for icons and stuff. Also, I wanted something a little off centre. The richness of colour was initlally an artifact of the two mixed Bryce renders which I enhanced in Photoshop.

made for an interesting exploration.

Created for Depthcore XL - MYTHIC.

Please check out the new chapter - it is brimming with great new artwork! This piece is based off a bunch of stories I used to read when I was a kid that featured Owls prominently - they feature in the mythology of nearly all cultures around the world as messengers of misfortune.... ominous!

Hope you enjoy!

he original animation was not made by me, it is from a clip of white zombie's music video - boogyman, but it was edited/manipulated/reconstructed by me to be made into an avatar.

EDIT : I know this is just steam, I followed several engineering courses on nuclear energy; what I want to convey with this image is the concept of pollution - not "nuclear pollution" but pollution as we see it, or its concept.

You can also have a look at our NEW Fire Art Website !

/!\
We were performing in a wood full of green trees and plants - hard to set on fire - , in the morning, when the weather was not really hot and the air wet. We also carried what is needed to rapidly stop a fire and, speaking from experience, in these conditions it's really hard to start a fire (the fire you can see near the ground is a second fire staff).

Found this new piece of sandy beach exposed by low tide. Normally, this is a very unwelcoming marshy shore. A couple of interesting things going on here. First, can you see the heron? A storm was coming in from the left, but thankfully it didn't make it fully across the frame to hide the sun.

Inspired by the latest episode of Symphony of Science. Watch it, and you might tear up.

Location: North arm of the Fraser River, Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Equipment: Nikon D90 + Tokina 11-16mm.
Technique: Photomatix Pro 4.0 and Photoshop CS5 from 3 RAW exposures.
