"...and that, Spike, is the official meaning of life," said Twilight Sparkle as they walked along one of Ponyville's roads.
"Whoa, Twilight," said Spike, his voice laced with awe. "Really?"
"Really really!" said Twilight, smiling with pride. "At least, as applied to bunnies. Ponies and dragons are a teensy bit more complicated, so our answers will take me a lot longer to come up with. Probably years!"
"Well, I'll help you find them however I can." Spike chuckled. "Though somehow, I don't think Angel will be all that pleased with your findings..."
"Oh, wow, good point. Well, maybe Fluttershy can talk him dow-" Twilight paused, thought about the possibility for a few seconds, then said, "You know what, you're right. Let's just not tell him. He seems to have fun with his life--if all of a sudden we tell him that he actually has no true free w

"Space... is... awesome."
Twilight Sparkle's smile was nearly as huge as the celestial body she'd just managed to teleport herself to. Barely able to contain her giddiness, she levitated her communicator out of her saddle bag and spoke into it.
"Mission Control, this is Sparkle One, do you copy? Over."
Some time passed before the communicator crackled to life, and a reply was heard. "Huh? Twilight, is that you? What's a 'Sparkle One?'"
Twilight giggled and sighed. "Oh, Spike. Sometimes I swear you have no sense of atmosphere. But we'll chat about that later. The spell was a success! Mission accomplished! I'm here!"
"Whoa, you mean it? You're..." Spike's voice crept to a whisper. "...you're on the moon?"

Early one afternoon, two unicorns walked together along one of Ponyville's side roads.
"Thanks again for accompanying me, Twilight."
"No problem at all, Rarity. So, can you tell me now why we're headed to Applejack's? I thought she was supposed to be busy today."
"Field testing." Rarity gave a confident nod towards a familiar barn as they approached it.
"...still not following."
"A couple of weeks ago, Applejack was planning her annual family reunion, and said that she needed somepony to help cater. Since a certain one of us we know quite well owed all of us an apology at the time, we figured she'd be the best one to tap. Thus, I went about crafting a most... fitting outfit." The two stopped in front of the fence to Sweet Apple Acres. "Ahh, here we are. Once again, my brilliant sense of style in action!"
Twilight looked towards the front of

She took a deep breath, wincing slightly. Due to a boulder accident, the recent race between Rainbow Dash and her own pet candidates had left her bandaged and laid up in her home for--at least according to Ponyville's resident physician--the next few coming days. As a consequence, her wings and chest still stung a little whenever she got excited or otherwise exerted herself.
Still, it was hard to not get at least a little agitated when one had this... challenging of a flight pupil to work with.
"This time, I want you to give it all--no, more than all you've got! Way more! A hundred and twenty percent! You hear me, Tank?"
The helicopter-fitted tortoise hovering before Rainbow Dash did his best to nod, but as usual, his owner refused to take sloth for an answer.
She instead set about barking out commands. "Take off! Now, bank right! Bank left! Okay... trick time! Immelmare! Sky pirouette! Loop the loop!

On a secluded, massive cloud, Rainbow Dash paced back and forth in front of a group of assembled pegasi.
"You are the very first officially enrolled class of the Supersonic Stormcloud Speedsters' School! You are here because you want to be the best of the best of the best! Short of landing a spot in the Wonderbolts, simply standing on this cloudspace right now is the greatest honor you can receive as a flyer..."
Rainbow Dash's grin showed teeth and energy.
"...and one day, I won't even have to make that qualifier. This school was created specifically to train up and coming pegasus ponies for the most demanding of flight tasks--but for those with a one-track mind, yes, the Wonderbolts will be watching closely for exceptional students, who will be placed in a special elite group to serve as their direct backups

A white unicorn in royal robes and sparkling crown stood atop a snow-spotted peak. The blizzard responsible for it had been thwarted a full week prior--and hopefully, forever--but from her vantage point, its effects could still easily be seen across the horizon.
In its half-melted state, the snow highlighted the flora of the land below, causing several colors of the rainbow to shine under the moonlight.
Princess Platinum smiled. They almost hadn't done it. Heaven knew she hadn't contributed all that much to their cause.
At that moment, however, she at last heard the hoofsteps of one who had.
"Ahh, Clover the Clever," Platinum greeted the brown-robed violet unicorn who had just traversed the peak's leading trail. "Thank you for showing. I... did not wish to inconvenience you whilst you were napping."
Clover nodded with a light, airy smile. "I appreciate it. Still, I came as soon as I read your note. Is anything the matter?"
Platinum allowed a small, peaceful smile of her own to cros

Twilight Sparkle's ears twitched as she stepped outside the front gates of Canterlot Castle. An umbrella floated through those same gates moments later, perching over her head to protect her from the downpour taking place on the castle's courtyard and for miles around.
Twilight wasn't about to let a little rain stop her, however. She knew why she was here, and also knew what she was about to face--and not a moment too soon.
Her ears twitched again as she heard the hum of a magic-engine in the distance. Twilight glanced at her watch, counting the seconds until the hum turned into a full-fledged roar, then shifted that attention from the watch to the other end of the courtyard, straight ahead of her...

The blue unicorn dismounted her vehicle and coolly trotted towards her violet rival. "Well, well, looks like you showed up after all. Glad to see you've been getting cold hooves less and less lately."
Twilight advanced in kind.
