Made this really awesome comic! which was inspired by my Squeezin' It series. I commented that I was a little sad I didn't have this idea myself first, but she was really nice and said I was allowed to draw it in my own style! What a cool gal!
Well, couldn't think of a better title, but anyways, I liked the way this scene from the episode looked like in terms of camera angle and lightning, so I tried to recreate it, but in my own painting style.
Man, the ground is so boring. Why'd we need to come here for a picnic...I wonder where mom and dad will get back with lunch? I'm really thirsty! Oh, I'm afraid they got a bit delayed, little Rainbow Dash. But if you're thirsty, I'm sure I can help. Wow! You sure are funny looking, mister! Are there a lot of creatures like you on the ground? Haha! No, I'm afraid there's only one of me in the entire universe, little filly. A real shame, isn't it? In any event...you said something about being thirsty? Yeah! Do you have something to drink? I could go for some apple juice! Apple juice? Oh, how quaint! No, little Dash, I have something infinitely superior to apple juice for you today. What I have here is apple cider! Even better than apple juice? I wanna to try some!...Wait a minute. Mom and dad told me never to take things from strangers, and you're pretty strange, mister. Are you a stranger? Me? A stranger? Most certainly not! I assure you, Rainbow Dash, this cider is both completely harmless and completely delicious. ...*gulp*...WOW! This is the most amazingly incredibly radical awesome thing EVER! Thanks mister! Oh, you're very welcome, Dash. Unfortunately, I must be going, but rest assured, we'll meet again. A shame you won't remember me. But you'll definitely remember this unbelievable cider...a pity you'll only ever be able to get a single mug every fifteen years. Huh? Mister? Where'd you go?...Wait, who was I talking to? Where did this drink come from? It looks good, and I am really thirsty...WOW! This is the most amazingly incredibly radical awesome thing EVER! I can't wait to have some more!
Another commission! For once I drew these two together for somebody else, and not just for my own fangirly enjoyment, haha~
This piece was made for TheBaffMan of pony community fame, who wanted a cute little scene of Applejack and Rarity bucking apples together, much to the latter's distress here and the former's amusement. Unlike most of my other commissioned works, Baff was perfectly content to go with something more simple than a full-fledged painting, and closer to the style of my simpler cartoon sketches that I normally refer to as my doodles. It was my pleasure to comply, and happily he was pleased with the end result as you see here!
Yes yes, I know what you all are probably thinking: honestly the roles probably should be reversed in this picture and the Diamond Dogs should be having nightmares about the fussy, whining, drama-queen Rarity. For better or for worse though that's not the picture I felt like drawing, and besides I'm sure Rarity couldn't help but be creeped out by those ugly mugs (I know I would have been), and the subconscious mind is a rather powerful thing. But whatever the case may be, I had fun working on this picture and even if Rarity's bedspread did take me an inordinate amount of time for whatever strange reason... it always seems to be those random details.
Ahaha. After Sisterhooves Social aired, this was literally the only thing I could think of drawing. What I can only imagine Rarity's family portrait might look like, if indeed her parents could even succeed in wrangling the poor flustered thing in front of the camera for such a purpose to begin with...
Also, as I'm sure that at least one person will bring it up I'm well aware that many in the fandom assert that Rarity's father must (or should) be an earth pony, but considering he was wearing a considerably large hat in the episode I think it's pretty much impossible to say for certain. In any case it was my preference to draw him as a unicorn, but by all means if people prefer to believe the alternative let them feel free.
