Now that Galaxies is officially defunct, I thought it safe to post some of my favourite illustrations here for posterity sake..!

Working on this franchise for close to 2 years really helped me grow as a creative and allowed me to explore many aspects of the craft-- its not often you get to play the role of illustrator, story-teller and designer within a single commission. It was truly rewarding in hindsight and more often that not, a very humbling experience when you witness the sheer quality and passion of other fellow creatives working on the same project, really inspires you to stretch yourself beyond the usual bounds!

Hi guys. New spoil from upcoming MTG: Dark Ascension expansion. In Order to avoid misunderstandings I'll try to explain something that might be unclear about the main action in the illustration.

The shield of the main character is a mirror. In the world of Innistrad vampires can see their reflections in the mirrors, but they look twisted and disfigured, so in fact the vampires are scared by their own real nature. Something like Dorian Gray syndrome.

Haven't seen the movie yet, though. I heard it doesn't meet expectations :/ Damn, I want this movie to be awesome!
I mean, the concept and prodcution value alone seem epic from what I saw in the trailers...

Whilst working on one of the pages this image stood out as being too awesome to keep under wraps until issue one is released, so we decided to throw it out there.
It shows two of the orbital rail gun platforms that orbit Earth used to safe guard it from asteroids, they are very big and very powerful. Enjoy

In the space between planets a huge Fusion reactor was built to satisfy the ever growing need for energy. It creates small stars which it gets energy from, this energy is then transmitted to every world in the system. The power is immense, as new stars are created using a form of laser fusion huge dust clouds swirl and ignite. When the energy form a star is depleted is shrinks and dies in a controlled and harmless way. A convoy of ships approach the station probably to offload supplies and personnel.

This is my entry to the new Luminarium Exhibit themed Energy, always wanted to make a huge machine that makes stars hehe.

A speed painting showing a group of futuristic gunship of sorts performing a strafing run on what is most likely a very volatile enemy position, judging by the size of the fireballs they either hit a big fuel refinery or they are using nuclear ammunition.

The image took around 45 minutes.
