What is this `Simpsons Evolution`???As many of you followers have been seeing has been a rag-tag collection of sketches and frenetic colorings, but what haven't been treated to is the story behind the Simpson family, 24 years beyond the current canon...so, for the first time, this is what goes on in this worldly spinoff that connects all this "art" together. What is this `Simpsons Evolution`??? in Personal More Like This
First and foremost, the tone of this spin off is NOTHING like the past 20 seasons of the Simpsons--if the tone was to be compared to the current show, the tone would feel like something out of the first two seasons: A bit brooding, gritty and semi-realistic. (Now, if you're thinking those are the worst two seasons because they're the most boring, please quit reading right now.) In 'Simpsons Evolution', the tone of the series isn't based on random, attempted gags, contrived guest stars or Homer being hurt over and over. Here, the tone is a dark w/cynical humor that's based on the characters and how they relate to the world and each other.
End of the Simpsons Website Era?Many of you in your later 20's and up might remember a time around the turn of the century when the hot internet craze was starting your own website about anything. These were the days before blogs, mySpace and Facebook and with the exception of some online site builders like GeoCities (now long gone), you had to rely on HTML coding and needed some technical skills.End of the Simpsons Website Era? in Personal More Like This
Back in the mid 90's, I used to visit the 'typical' site where it was few screen grabs, color overs done in MS paint, the glorious cut and paste "cloud background" and the Simpsons theme in midi. It was a site that probably took several hours to create back then, but could be done in seconds with an off the shelf website kit you'd buy today (hell, the stuff in the store bought templates are 100x better.)
If you want to see what 'vintage' Simpsons's site from the 90's was like, go here: http://www.angelfire.com/mb/ericf/

More importantly, though, me and a lot of Simpsons fans are in disbelief Marcia Wallace passed away last week and I was just going to leave the last update for a while, but I came across this article from a small town paper from Fairmont, Minnesota:
"FAIRMONT - The entertainment world was shocked and saddened to learn of the death of Marcia Wallace last week. Fairmont resident Bryan Peterson, a close friend of Wallace, described himself as devastated.
"She is the story of the small town girl that makes good and never changes," he said of Wallace. "She had her share of tragedies, but she took those tragedies in a humorous way and helped people deal with their own tragedies ... Her life was about humor and hope."

Well, I thought I'd start by getting all the bad stuff out of the way first...
2013's tumultuous reign started when I met one :iconmissfuturama: at the very end of Dec.2012. The good news was she introduced me to the amazing program known as Paint Tool S.A.I, which I had never heard of before this year, and that helped my art considerably. Unfortunetly, I lost my head and I fell in love with her. We shared some good times and I took time off from work to cheer her up with a Futurama Birthday picture, but shortly thereafter, my fawning over her became my undoing. I most likely came across as Mr. Creeper and she got sick of my mood swings (caused by a lot of bad shit in me and my family's life mentioned below) and she became a conduit of my frustrations and left me in Blocked user land. For the most part, I don't blame her, but one

Also, there's been speculation a 'beloved character was passing away' later this season, or early next season, but Al Jean (showrunner) confirmed Edna was NOT the character:
"Earlier we had discussed a potential storyline in which a character passed away," Jean said. "This was not Marcia's Edna Krabappel. Marcia's passing is unrelated and again, a terrible loss for all who had the pleasure of knowing her."

Watching: The Simpsons' Treehouse of HorrorWatching: The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror in Personal More Like This
Sooner or later, I had to feature The Simpsons in one of my "Watching..." journals. It's one of my favourite TV shows ever: I've watched it since I was three years old, have tapes of lil' me talking about it and collected action figures that I used to play dollhouse with. So where to start, really? Since the moment I started this series of features, I knew that, if I ever did a The Simpsons journal, it would be about the Treehouse of Horror specials.
I don't celebrate Halloween because it's not a holiday or a tradition here. In fact, just as you are harvesting pumpkins and raking leaves, we are getting ready for Summer, thinking of swimming pools and end of school. Marvelous little round world, it is.
However, I do celebrate one thing about Halloween, and that's The Simpsons' Halloween specials. The first Treehouse of Horror aired as the third episode of the show's second season, on October 25th, 1990, about a month before I was born. I still t

The cartoon mash-up, dubbed "The Simpsons Guy," will feature Peter Griffin and family taking a road trip and ending up in the Simpsons' home turf of Springfield.
The families hit it off immediately, with Marge and Lois becoming pals and Homer and Peter taking time to debate the merits of Duff beer over Pawtucket. Stewie and Bart, of course, compare their arsenal of pranks.
The episode is scheduled to hit the airwaves in 2014.

Phishing is a serious matter on the Web. You've probably heard of phishing attempts through emails, the classic example being a fake email from a bank or other trusted authority, asking you to enter your personal information.
