The Simpsons: Evolution synopsis'sWith finding time a pain in the ass, I've decided for 'writing' this spinoff idea set 24 years ahead of the current Simpsons, the episodes will be presented in extended synopsis form. I don't have time for full-length scripts or comics, but I will supplement these ideas with art, of course! The Simpsons: Evolution synopsis's in Personal More Like This
Random musings...Well, it's time for another journal update in the land of...well, my computer screen and semi-warped mind!Random musings... in Personal More Like This
First, the good news: "Simpsons: Evolution" is finally beginning today. Pretty much all "Maggie and Eric" and "Futurama" themed work is now behind me, with the exception of a colored version of the last shaded drawing which I will finish if I have artist block someday in the future.
Second, I'm pretty much done with black and white "shaded" pics for two reasons: 1, they look like crapola after they're scanned, regardless of the resolution setting, and 2, unless it's a graphite copy of real life, most b/w works are 'ignored' compared to digitally colored works. I only have so much free time and an adult life I am a slave to, I don't want to labor over something that will go pretty much unnoticed. One can almost say black and white Simpsons pics are about as useful as color wheel is to a blind person.
Also speaking of coloring, I've finally

Old Skool!Greetings! Work on the next color picture resumes tomorrow, but in the meantime, I've borrowed my friend's scanner and decided to make decent scans of my earlier, more complex black and white works (the better ones, anyway).Old Skool! in Personal More Like This
From late 2000 to 2003, and briefly in 2009, I did a lot of pictures that were drawn and shaded by hand with complex backgrounds and detailed shading. Up until 2003, I actually had some level of free-time where I could immerse myself into my drawings and in three years time, I was actually happy with what I was creating. But, as life would have it, I had to stop and help take care of my mom, who was diagnosed with Pulminary Fibrosis back in Nov.2003, which took priority of my art. Sadly, she passed away in 2008 and for nearly 5 years, my time was limited to line drawings. Color and Black and Whites were pretty much not an option.
Another problem with my pics back then was my images were sized for ancient dial-up modems and rarel

A new Simpsons color picture is coming soon, but the 'busy' time of the year at my job is starting so the updates will become a bit more sporadic till the fall.
The Greatest, Pointless Milestone, Ever! The only time I'd really make a journal entry over the amount of page views (and if I already did, this is the last) is when I get the 84,763 page view. Why? Because in the Simpsons, when Maggie is scanned before the HD switch, it reads $847.63 on the scanner. (NRA4EVR was a joke.)The Greatest, Pointless Milestone, Ever! in Personal More Like This
So, this post is in celebration of the 84,763rd pageview. So, how's that for random!

No, this isn't an April Fools post!
I would've had this done a long time ago, but I had something bad happen around the time Part 3 was SUPPOSED to begin and every time I wanted to continue, I was reminded of the summer of 2008. I did some test pages, but my ambitions didn't come back into alignment until just a few months ago.
The only bad news is I won't have time to color it.

dAmn It, the system where deviants can submit and vote on funny quotes from Chat (originally called "dAmn" or deviantART Messaging Network), is a feature that gets extremely low usage and traffic.

Watching: The Simpsons' Treehouse of HorrorWatching: The Simpsons' Treehouse of Horror in Personal More Like This
Sooner or later, I had to feature The Simpsons in one of my "Watching..." journals. It's one of my favourite TV shows ever: I've watched it since I was three years old, have tapes of lil' me talking about it and collected action figures that I used to play dollhouse with. So where to start, really? Since the moment I started this series of features, I knew that, if I ever did a The Simpsons journal, it would be about the Treehouse of Horror specials.
I don't celebrate Halloween because it's not a holiday or a tradition here. In fact, just as you are harvesting pumpkins and raking leaves, we are getting ready for Summer, thinking of swimming pools and end of school. Marvelous little round world, it is.
However, I do celebrate one thing about Halloween, and that's The Simpsons' Halloween specials. The first Treehouse of Horror aired as the third episode of the show's second season, on October 25th, 1990, about a month before I was born. I still t

Devious Journal Entry[EN/US] (bad translation, sorry)Devious Journal Entry in Personal More Like This
Hi to all,
I'm french and I don't speak english very fluently, so I'm going to write my journal entries in both languages, I think.
I created this gallery after I discovered Jake Lennington (aka Simpspin)'s amazing work. For those who don't know him, he created a Simpsons spin-off, centered on the new Simpson kid, Eric, born three years after Maggie. As a natural emotional, I really felt a great sorrow when I heard that he stopped drawing, only a few weeks after I saw his work. I think I've never been in mourning like this in my entire life.
So I made a resolution : as I never could draw anything good in my life, I was going to devote myself intensively, in order to perpetuate Mr Lennington's work.
Consequently, the first drawings you'll see here will be attempts to reproduce his drawings, what I do to train.
I hope you'll like my work, and perhaps you'll help me to better draw.
Thank you, and especially thank you Jake Lennington.
Am I Just Crazy?Hey Guys!Am I Just Crazy? in Personal More Like This
So let me start off by saying the art that has been coming in is AWESOME! Whenever I log on I see all the art you guys post and I am just loving it.
But I am not just here to praise you guys, my other reason is that while I was playing Minecraft yesterday I had a thought resurface in my mind. A thought that comes up a lot but I don't bother to much about. I once again thought "I hate Gravel!" I just find it such a useless block. It gives us flint but that's about it. Besides that It just kills me and gets in the way when I mine. I have started calling it "Satan's Block" which comes from my dislike of it and that it is the only "natural" block found in the Nether. It has to be something evil.
So what do you guys think? Am I crazy? Should I be focusing on hating Creepers? Am I right? I am interested in knowing what the community thinks.
Keep Up The Awesome Art,
