All I Need Is MeYou fell asleep.
I fell from grace.
I think it best of we give each other,
Some much needed space.
This isn't the end.
It's just a step that we must take,
So our relationship has time to mend.
I still love you.
I just need to breathe.
I know I said I wouldn't leave,
So I won't.
Just give me some time.
You'll still be mine,
But distance makes it so very hard.
I know this is a major cliché,
But I'll say it anyway.
It's not you.
In the future we can be,
But right now,
All I need is me.

I see my memories in the tears they shed.
I see my thoughts in the words they write.
I see my past through the lives they've lived.
I see my peers and because of them,
Growing UpI used to be a good girl,Growing Up in Free Verse More Like This
Always doing what I'm told.
But very soon I found,
That being good gets old.
I want to let my hair down.
I want to have some fun.
And don't try to stop me,
'Cuz you and I both know,
I'm not the only one.
I'm sick of being pretty,
Of being prim and proper.
If a girl wants some fun,
Why try and stop her?
I want to be free.
I want to be bad.
Give my best wishes to dad.
Tell him his little girl,
Is becoming all grown up,
And living out her life,
Just the way she wants.
Under PressureI'm a piece of coal,Under Pressure in Free Verse More Like This
You're the pressure.
You turned me into a perfect diamond.
But you keep pushing,
Harder and harder.
I'm strong so I can take it,
But I'm starting to crack.
You can't see it on the surface,
But look down deep inside.
See the pain I hide.
The cracks grow bigger.
I'm falling apart.
And all 'cuz the pressure,
You put on my heart.
Save Me From Myself .::1::.It's mid afternoon on a cool fall day in Southern California. A young girl with golden hair in perfect ringlets which bounce with each movement of her head, mirroring her bouncy personality, runs to get in line for It's A Small World dragging her mother behind. The little girl couldn't wait to go on her favorite ride, singing every word of the catchy theme song to pass the time, a huge smile plastered on her face. Her mom attempts to quiet her as the people near by start complaining, but she just sings even louder, occasionally singing in an operetta voice, her joy too much for her tiny body to contain. Finally it's their turn to get in the pastel colored boat. The girl's excitement grows and grows as she bounces in her seat, unable to sit still. She starts to clap and giggle as the boat begins to move. She stares in awe, her mouth agape, at the various colors i each room, falling deeper and deeper into her trance with each note that, she believes, drifts out of the dolls' mouths.Save Me From Myself .::1::. in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
You vs. WeYou see me.You vs. We in Free Verse More Like This
You don't know me.
You talk to me.
You don't hear me.
You touch me.
You don't feel me.
You ask me.
You don't understand me.
You try to control me.
You can't hold me.
You try to stop me.
You can't contain me.
You try to tell me how to think.
You can't tell me how to feel.
You try to convince me.
You can't tell me what is real.
I know he's the one.
I know him.
I've accepted him.
He loves me.
I'm not sure you do.
He's better to me,
Than you could ever be.
It's him and me.
A battle for three,
You versus we.
The Ballad of PhoenixThe Ballad of Phoenix in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
To my oppressors, I ask you this:
Who's laughing now? You're stuck in a rut,
I'm running free. You tease and you hate.
You push me down and you keep me there.
A mes oppressors, je leur pose cette question:
Qui rit maintenant? Vous etes coincé de gue dans orniere.
Je me cours sans limites. Vous taquinez at vous detestez.
Vous me poussez en bas at vous m'y gardez.
You left me in the dark. I found the light.
You forgot me. I made you remember.
Your lives are miserable. Mine is heaven.
You live in infamy. I live in fame.
Vous m'avez oublie dans le noir. J'ai trouve la lumiere.
Vous m'avez oublie. Je vous ai fait me souvenir.
Voz vies sont malheureuses. Ma vie est divine.
Vouz vivez dans infame. Je visave dans la celebrite.
I made the best of what you did to me.
Like a phoenix, i have risen from
The flames of your hatred. I am stronger.
J'ai fait le meileur de ce que vous m'avaiz fait.
Je ressemble a un phoenix que se leve des
Flammes de votre haine. Je suis plus fort.

I'm glad that's not what I dream of
My visions are vampires and night
Cemetaries, death, and passed away love
You may not believe this truth
Your nightmares are my dreams
I'm not a heartless freak
Beauty is what one deems
Darkness, madness, chaos
Winter blackened trees
Rose gardens, crows, and candles

Who she isShe's so tiredWho she is in Free Verse More Like This
Tired of being upset
Of hating herself
When was the last time she looked in a mirror
And thought the girl staring back
That she was worth anything
Anything at all
The last time she felt truly loved
That she was needed
So lost now
In her worlds of fantasy
Where she is who she always wanted to be
She forgets who she really is
Always looking back
On what went wrong
What she lost
So many lies she has told herself
That not even she knows what is real
Gave up what she believed in
Because every night when she prays not to wake up
She would open her eyes to a new day
Looking in the mirror a monster stares back
One with tears running down its face
Wishing it was brave enough
To be itself and love who that is
Or at least have the courage to end it
To lay down
And give in to endless darkness
Living NightmareThe streets are crying in bloody groans,Living Nightmare in Traditional Fixed Forms More Like This
I drag my decaying weak body in woe,
My flesh crackles and peels and rots off my bloody bones,
The sky used to be blue but that was a long time ago,
My condition has sewn my mouth leaving it bare,
If I could I would continue to scream out to Hell,
I wait to wake from this living nightmare,
I can't remember if my family is dead or well,
I miss the warmth of the open dancing fireplace flame,
The only warmth I get now is the blood from eating the buzzards,
I remember feeling love from my family it doesn't the same,
Now I feel the maggots chewing my leftover innards,
I pray to death to end my long dark nightmares,
Death still continues to ignores my countless prayers .
