"Hey.. Mae? Is that you?" called out the nicely dressed Roy Blackwell.
The male was wearing a black pin striped tuxedo that was nicely pressed. It was complimented with a white collared dress shirt and a satin red tie. His dark hair was styled and tousled with gel for the special occasion.
He had spent the entire night searching the crowd for Mae. He saw her silhouette from where he stood and was certain it was Mae.
"There you are. I haven't seen you all night. What are you doing out here?"
The scent of cinnamon candles drifted in the air and pleasant holiday tunes could be heard coming from the packed mansion. The Blackwell family was known to host some of the greatest parties. However, this did not perk even a bit of interest in the young girl that leaned against one of the mansion's pillars.
As he approached the girl, his grey eyes widened.
Mae turned her body in the direction of the familiar voice. Her soft face was paired with nude glossy lips and a slight hint of blus

Rylie was pleasantly surprised. She looked up to him, an easy smile on her lips as a simple token of gratitude. Their eyes met, but only briefly. Something caught Rylie's eyes, and she darted her gaze above his well-tousled head. Jace followed the direction of her glance, and gave a half-chuckle when he saw what it was.
"Smooth." He said, as his hazel orbs caught her blue-grey ones. Seeing the rising red in her cheeks, Jace teasingly nudged her and whispered into her ear, "You'd think they would be more creative about where they'll hang mistletoes around here."
He made a grand gesture of looking at both sideways before playfully adding, "People sure want a smooch in between the sick ward room and the busy corridor. Talk about getting that private moment right."
Rylie bit her lip to suppress a giggle, but couldn't resist a wide smile. Jace rubbed the back of his neck and grinned. He enjoyed nothing more than seeing her bright, amused eyes that he had incited. "So, is that a yes on havin

Dawn chucked the last video tape onto a messy pile of old-fashioned black tapes. She had spent the entire week analyzing four large boxes of the obscure surveillance videos, documenting information vital to the drug trafficking case the squad was working on. The suspect was highly-experienced; his methods were conscientious and faultless, rendering him near-to untraceable. Watching videos of his past workplaces, Dawn had marked each of his movements and contacts to find a pattern within his modus operandi. Only one more box full of black tapes was left, but that would take her at least another solid eighteen hours.
'Caffeine,' she thought to herself. 'I need caffeine.'
She strode hurriedly out of the computer room, mainly to get away from the sight of the video tape stacks that was overcrowding the floor. She had copied all the footage into the headquarters' network and mapped the electronic linkage between each video. The work had began to drive her over the edge, mainly

Ryan rolled over his mattress, letting one arm snake to the other side of the bed. Sensing the absence of a familiar form, he opened his eyes to find that Rylie was not lying next to him. He lifted his head to see if she was anywhere in their bedroom, but there was no sign of her. The cat-shaped clock on their wall read 10a.m. Ryan woke up with a start when he saw the time; he rarely slept in.
"Ryle?" He groaned her name. Ryan could feel the muscles in his body ached from just pulling himself to sit on the bed. Missions rarely left him unscathed. Even if he came home injury-free, his tired body strained from the rigorous work he had undergone. It was pleasant to watch his wife being overwhelmed with joy that he did not need any bandages, but it did not deter her from giving him a physical check-up. Rylie sighed knowingly when she found the two bruises; one on his left shoulder, the other on his knee. Not wanting to hear her doleful concern, Ryan caressed her cheek and told her that he

Zack kept a detailed eye on the dozen set of surveillance videos that Ryan had rigged. Several of them showed the lounging areas, while a few focused on the entrance and hallways of the elite club. The Christmas function at the great hall was a good opportunity to find the criminals he had been tracking down. Zack's eyes observed the activities of the few suspects meticulously. With the help of Ryan's software program that highlighted each of the cons, Zack studied their behavior and their acquaintances. Having consumed himself in work, he heavily hesitated to reach for his phone when it rang.
Until he saw the caller ID.
"Ryan, can you take over for a minute?" Zack motioned a finger to the phone he had placed against his ear, and Ryan nodded. Zack moved to a dark corner in their reconnaissance van. He clicked on the slim screen.
"Hi Zack." A delicious voice warmed his ears. "It's been some time, hasn't it?"
"Yeah." He cleared his throat. "How are you doing, Ava?"

It was a time to be joyous. The evening of Christmas Eve had begun with a magical entrance. Flakes of ashen snow trickled under the pale sky, decorated with streaks of pink and purple hues that reflected from a grand sunset. Cold breeze easily filled the lonely streets, as most people had opted for the snug and toasty warmth of a home occupied by their family members.
Although this wasn't the case for Zack, he equally felt a great joy and relief. The strenuous mission had finally come to its end. Earlier, the squad spent a tiring five hours working to retrieve Marilyn Hutton's earrings, an impromptu mission thought in the nick of time. The plan was simple - sedate her, take hold of the jewelry and leave no evidence - but even a trivial error could blow their cover. Zack supervised his team from the reconnaissance vehicle, as the rest spread out to play their roles. As Ryan watched over the perimeter, Nicky and Dawn blended in the afternoon Christmas Eve function as guests. Dawn managed
For The Sake of Public EducationI care about college-school fees and think its unfair that there's been many fee hikes in the past few years, specifically in the University of California schools. Two years ago, there was a 32% increase in my school fees, and now I'm hearing that there's going to be a 80% fee hike on top of that one already. For The Sake of Public Education in Personal More Like This
