Not my best work ever but I'm pressed for time and Rarity's hair took forever before I ended up with that :/ All the same I'm still fond of how it came out.
While the vote is still out if I accept Dinky as Derpy's daughter I thought this might be cute to draw anyways. I think it would be nice for Dinky to have a Unicorn mentor in her life to teach her how to use her powers and understand her when she messes up.
a vector of a drawing of rarity i did, i tried to make this vector more detailed then the usual ones by giving it some shading rather then leaving it as a solid color drawing. be sure to give credit if used
This is a new item that we premiered at Anime Expo 2012. I had a few experimental color ways which totally sold out. This is a new colorway that I made after the convention. I think it's really cute and I hope you do too!
Pendant is made out of laser cut acrylic and hangs on a pink metal chain. You can see additional photos as well as the other colorways in my web shop, www.cuteparade.etsy.com
Her mane can be moved to either side of her head. Bangs however are stitched in place. The hair, while simple in design, was actually pretty confusing. Oddly enough I had less confusion drafting Rainbow Dash's hair. Oh well, she's adorable, so it doesn't matter!
Just like the others she's made with minky, and her eyes are made from hand cut felt appliques which were hand stitched then reinforced with an embroidery machine.
This plushie is not for sale, it is a commission for someone on DA and will be on her way to her new home very soon!
I will be opening more commission slots in the near future! I'll post the information in my journal so keep a look out!
*Pony was made using my own pattern, and no I do not have plans to give it out. *This is not an official product, it is fan art.
This is my third submission for the Artist Training Grounds' week 24 theme: draw a pony helping someone in need. This is kind of a mutual one (although Spike isn't a pony) where Spike is helping Rarity find gems again and Rarity is helping Spike get some good eats in the form of his share of the haul.
Anyway, this is my first time drawing Spike, despite my rather large amount of Twi drawings and scenes. Today's episode really made me want to draw Spike and Rarity together, although I don't usually do spoiler drawings until after Sunday ends. So I went with this idea.
I'm a little annoyed with some of the blending on Spike, especially the belly. It didn't look as good on the drawing itself as when I was doing sample blending and the scanner only makes it worse than it is. Other than that, I think things worked out fairly well.
This took roughly 4 hours. Still experimenting with the no graphite/inked outlines style from last night. Sketched out in my 2H, then coloured with Prismacolor.
This is my first submission for the Artist Training Grounds' week 24 theme: draw a pony helping another pony in need. For some reason, Dashie needs to be stylish and Rarity is only happy to oblige (by putting her in her predecessor's outfit no less).
This is actually a bit of an expansion and do over on a submission for months ago. So this is kind of a benchmark to contrast against [link] for how far I've come. Also, there's totally no wings missing in this newer version.
This took me about 3.5 hours. I decided to do a little bit of stylistic experimentation. I basically attempted to transfer what I've been doing with my Prismacolours to graphite. I did the hairy outline in 2B, then for the shading, laid the first layer in HB and darkened up with 2B. Sketch was done with 2H as usual.
Oops, got carried away again. This started as a small facial portrait. But I wanted to add her wings, but that meant I had to add most of the rest of her body. So I ended up spending 3 hours on this, hehe.
This is probably among my best for shorter drawings (2-3 hours) as far as shading goes. One thing that annoys me that I didn't notice is the way her one bang falls, it makes her look kind of cocky because of the way it obscures her right eye. :/
Okay, I'll admit it, The Secret To My Excess is my new favorite My Little Pony episode. I mean, the Sparity moments were just so cute that I HAD to draw this pairing! So here they are nuzzling all cutely.
I'd say all together this took me 6 hours to make. I spent an hour on the fireruby up floating there, 3 hours on Rarity (thanks to the effects on her hair...) 2 hours on Spike and an hour on cleaning it up. And I did this all in one day! I'm proud of myself.
