Since I have been majorly supplying My Little Pony cosplayers all over the world this year with accessories to complete their costumes, it was a no-brainer to cosplay Rarity at some point myself. She is literally me in the pony-verse lol.

In fact everyone looked so cute and I was ecstatic with how this group came together. Each girl created their costumes and I made the appropriate pony accessories for all of us.

Construction notes:
My Rarity dress was designed by me - inspired by the character and the show of course! I always thought of Rarity as the fashionista of the group, elegant with a sweet flair. I made a fully lined and boned halter dress and used a purple stretch velvet to make the trim and inserts. I handmade 3 tiers of ruffles from a sparkle organza by serging strips together, then hand pleating the ribbons into ruffles. My cutie mark (3 diamond shapes) were rhinestone plate earrings taken apart and attached to the front of the dress. Rarity would definitely approve of blinged out diamond shapes . I found a sheer French silk with a diamond pattern on it (Hello, cutie mark shape!) and made a pattern for a bolero, then sewed it together as a little cover over the dress. My wig was a great shade but I wish I had had the time to properly style it. It's a bit flat for my taste. Overall it was so much fun to dress up in a fun little costume with friends.

The back panel is the same purple velvet that my trim is made out of. It's my non-literal translation of a tail lol.

Finally, a last photoshoot of Elizabeth before keeping her in closet.

First one was in Comic Fiesta, where the costume is rushed and inaccuracy everywhere TwT
Then group shoot, redo sleeves last minute and end up tired max and slept through the shoot XD
Finally, a last solo shoot \o/

This I can say the most time+money spending costume I did, which part of it is tailored. And the process is freaking crazy.

Thank you to for continuously blowing bubbles till you are out of breath.

The helpers were really tired after the shoot because of all the things that they have to do in every shot ~

Loving this whole shoot because there are so many things happening at one time. xD I am sad because the Kiga apple logo could not be seen in this shot

Ringo is one character that has come so far from her stalker days. I already loved her being all so weird and crazy but I loved her even more after she became more rational and determined as a person.

Ah, Diamond Crevasse, probably the most well known Sheryl song. I wanted to make this costume because it was sparkley, and I like sparkley stuff. xD

What I like about Diamond Crevasse is that they are able to fit this song into different situations in the series and movies and still make it work so well. I felt that while the song itself was not all amazing, how they managed to use the songs to make people feel for Sheryl was . It felt like while Sheryl was singing diamond crevasse, diamonds and sparkley things were falling around her, making the moment so pretty and precious. I tried to put that in my edittng and hopefully, it isn't too unatural.

Ok, its not a secret that I am obsessed with Mawaru Penguin Drum...
So, I ve decided to cosplay someone... Cause maybe its mine last chance to enjoy Ikuhara's work. I havent made good enough cosplay of Utena, so maybe I will get more luck with penguins?
I dont know. Also, I cant choose beetwen Sanetoshi and Kamba. Well, I am too old for Kam, but I am little afraid that I will have a lot of problems with Sanetoshi cause his looks somehow like Soubi's and that one was a real pain for me.
But. I want to do it just for fun, cause I really enjoy Ikuhara Kunihiko's works, so, tell the truth I just will be happy to do them both, to express my firesom love >

Only real problem that I dont want to do it alone, but Chinese people looks too pretty >< I dont dare ask someone to join me >_> Or I even dont know how to ask Chinese cosplayer join me :/ I am not a great cosplayer :/ I will have winter holidays soon, I can do clothes and stuff... But I want to do it with someone >__<
