Final Dream of a Filly Ch. 3The funeral was a modest affair. The town gathered up a collection and the mortician was even kind enough to donate a simple black coffin for the sake of holding her. It almost didn't seem real as Scootaloo stared down into the open casket and examined the tiny bundle within. They had done a good job, she admitted. She still only looked asleep, a small smile permanently hovering on her face from her final dream. Scootaloo turned away and cast her gaze to the sky, a sigh causing her to shudder. The weather team hadn't been able to clear the skies. Why, she didn't know, but the day was somber in its muted gray sky that occasionally rumbled with the softest rumbles of thunder.
"It's time, Scootaloo we should take our places." It was the mare who spoke, beckoning the filly away from the casket to stand beside it instead. She had positioned them to watch the approaching procession of friends and loved ones that heavily trod to the filly's final resting place. Upon seeing Applebloom and
Final Dreams of a Filly Ch. 2Scootaloo stared down at herself silently. Regret flooded her as thoroughly as the tears that slid down her face. "There was so much I was gonna do I never found my special talent in life and earned my cutie mark I never thought it would end like this. Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and I were all going to do it together. This is a nightmare " The thought quieted her. This was a nightmare and that was all that it could be. She rounded on the mare, eyes narrowed. "This is messed up, ya know that?! What gives you the right?! Why?!"Final Dreams of a Filly Ch. 2 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
It had been countless centuries of the same question. The mare closed her eyes and thought for a moment, wondering how she still never quite had a good answer. After a moment her eyes opened and extended one of her wings as if to beckon the filly near. "I wish I had a better answer, but this isn't a nightmare, Scootaloo. You you fell asleep and the temperature dropped so suddenly. There was nothing anypony could have done " As s
Final Dreams of a Filly Ch. 4The world felt like it had exploded around her. Suddenly, needles of ice punctured her lungs. The metallic taste of blood tinged her lips and for some reason she was burning alive. In the distance she could hear sirens wailing and terse, anxious voices barking out orders and choppy directions. None of them made any sense and she was being eaten from the inside out with fear. Scootaloo struggled to even remember what had happened that had led to this, but her thoughts were sluggish and she couldn't seem to collect them.Final Dreams of a Filly Ch. 4 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Only once the world came to a shuddering halt did she realize that she was in an ambulance. Before she could invest in the thought, she felt herself slip from consciousness and she was plunged into complete darkness. It didn't last long - or it didn't seem to. What felt like seconds later she opened her eyes and tried to sit up with a start. Her entire body was convulsing and trembling, but she could feel her heartbeat raging away within her frail chest.

Final Dreams of a Filly Ch. 1The moon was chillingly beautiful. The young filly watched it silently; a rare moment of reverence for her normally exuberant personality. A chill ran through her tiny frame and she pulled the thin material closer around her fledgling wings, trying to trap her frail body heat beneath the scarlet cape and emblem. A smile pulled at the corner of her mouth as her lavender eyes caught sight of the insignia. The symbol glittered in the moonlight, tendrils of frost having begun to collect on the surface of the cape. Winter was coming - and soon.Final Dreams of a Filly Ch. 1 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Her eyes fell away from the frost as she dismissed it. So what if it was cold? The filly nestled closer betwixt the wooden beams of her residence and closed her eyes tight in defiance. There was no time to worry about that now. Now it was time to sleep. Every filly knew the moon meant that, and even she didn't have the energy to fight its silent nocturne. "Goodnight, mom. Goodnight, dad. I love you " she called out softly. The answer was the sam
Legend of the LightsIt had been the longest night anypony could remember. The warm glow of Luna's moon had dimmed to a chilling whisper of its former comfort and now bathed the world in a stark, ethereal light. Mares held their foals close as stallions braced themselves for the end of what they all knew to be a terrible battle. No matter the cost, the balance of the world hung taut on the threads of fate, and even if by force rather than a mercy, Celestia had set forth to lower the pallid sphere. For a few moments after her departure, it seemed like all the world held its breath. Then, a delicate cascade of light crested the horizon and dawn broke over a newly forged empire. The goddess of the moon had fallen, beloved and feared by her subjects, to make way for the sun. Things would never quite be the same, not for a thousand years.Legend of the Lights in Drama More Like This
But sit for a spell and let me tell you of a story that happened not long after the terrible conflict. A simple tale of a colt's love that spanned a thousand years of light.
Southern Comfort Chapter 1A cold chill ran down the old mare's spine. A soft trace of thunder rumbled within dark, heavy clouds that loomed high over the expansive apple orchard. The air itself seemed to anticipate the oncoming storm and crackled though her fur with rampant anxiousness. That didn't faze her though. Very few things fazed one of her age, and Granny Smith only surveyed the storm as if it were an old adversary. This hadn't been the first storm her brittle bones had weathered, and it certainly wouldn't be the last. Thunder pealed over the darkening sky and silenced even the proud nightingale that had tucked itself away from the bitter winds of winter.Southern Comfort Chapter 1 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
The old mare had also hidden herself away, at least for now. Applejack and Big Macintosh had already begun preparing for the worst the weather could throw at them. They had no need for brittle limbs that had long since worn out their use in the fields. Granny Smith sighed softly, the exhalation causing her chest to rattle. She couldn't help but wonder
Southern Comfort Ch. 2Lightning danced across the darkened sky and bathed the room in a stark white pallor. The flash faded into darkness before a gentle glow dissolved the shadows and materialized in the doorway. A young mare fostered the light, and came into full visibility as she strode in with the lantern in tow. She set it down and adjusted it slightly, smiling as the eerie atmosphere gave way to a more comfortable coziness.Southern Comfort Ch. 2 in Introductions & Chapters More Like This
Applejack lowered herself to her haunches, and she breathed soft sigh of contentment. Though she would never openly admit it, the momentary respite from the bitter cold of the outdoors felt wonderful. Frost clung to her slack mane and her forelegs ached from the muddied slurry of the fields. The storm had begun. They were ready and waiting for it. In the urgency of their preparations, she had not noticed her younger sister's absence. However, as the weather turned for the worse, she had found herself needing more and more to know that the little filly was safe.

Secret Tub Fun 3 - FluttershyFluttershy took a deep breath as she looked up at the vine-covered entrance to the cave and tightened her grip on the fairy lantern in her mouth. You've been here a thousand times, Fluttershy, she thought to herself. You know it better than your own house. Her eyes fixed on the soft green leaves of the vines covering the opening. She shook her head fiercely, nearly dropping the lantern. No, she was not going to be afraid this time. She was not going to think of horrible things coming out of the dark to grab her and drain her blood with wickedly sharp probosci and feed her desiccated body to their chitinous spawn. She was not going to think of slipping on a rock and breaking all of her legs and getting trapped down there and being unable to move and dying slowly of infection and starvation, alone. "It's taken every bit you've been able to save for the last three months to do this, Pinkie Pie. Three months of extra shifts, double-time parties, and a-a little book-cooking." She bit her lip and looked away from the tub. She felt horrible about that, even if it was only for an extra bit here and there to help out. It felt wrong. It was wrong, but she needed the money. She had to hope it was worth it.

Secret Tub Fun Twilight trotted into her bathroom and set a small bucket down on the lacquered wood counter. "Finally, a night alone to unwind and enjoy some me time," she said with a relieved sigh. "Spike's helping Apple Bloom and her crusaders study, and everyone else is occupied with Pinkie's party." She pulled a box of scented candles out of the bucket and placed them strategically around the small bathroom, then lit them one by one with her horn. Her eyes followed her for a moment, a satisfied smile of her own on her lips. It was just a simple pullover sundress; a light and breezy little thing for a young filly's first school dance. But oh, it was such a joy to make for her! She'd wanted something to catch the eye of that little would-be Casanova who'd been trying to make the rounds of the schoolyard and breaking hearts with his handsome smile and charming laugh. The poor dear was so smitten that she nearly chewed her ear off with syrupy-sweet descriptions of his mane. "HUHWHUZZAH!? WHO!?" Rainbow Dash's head shot upright and nearly smacked an old, grizzled-maned pegasus in the jaw. Her heart raced and her wings flapped awkwardly as adrenaline rushed through her. The old pegasus glared down into the filly's wide magenta eyes and growled, "I would thank you not to fall asleep in my class, Ms. Dash." He turned on his hindhoof and walked slowly back to the front of the class, his icy stare silencing the titters of his students.
As he started to speak again, she rubbed furiously at her eyes. Ugh It's not my fault I'm sleeping in class. If I wasn't up all night studying everything else, then I wouldn't have to catch up in this boring class. She looked up at the blackboard with a w
Secret Tub Fun 8 - Trixie Rarity hummed tunelessly to herself as she hung her damp towel on the rack to dry and rearranged her toiletries on the bathroom's counter. "That was just what you needed, darling. Dear Lotus and Aloe, lovely as their hooves are, can't stand up to a bath with 'The Scoltish Laird'. A night with Primrose is what you need to truly unwind." She grinned and fondly patted the lovingly worn book she'd set on the edge of the tub. "I've not laughed like that since I found poor Scootaloo's little 'shrine'." A pang of guilt tugged at her, which she waved off dismissively. "I know it was horrid of me to laugh at her," she said to the book and the little pang. Twilight Sparkle, if you are reading this, it is because the worst has happened. I will have turned into a monster worse than any other. I am going to have to ask something terrible of you. Something terrible, but ultimately necessary if Equestria is to survive me. Before I do that, please know that I love you.More than any other of my students, you have touched me, kept me together in these trying years.
And now I must explain what will have happened.
I am not a god, and never have been, nor claimed to be. I am an Immortal; a mortal being elevated in the Dawn Times by the primeval Gods to bring harmony and balance to the elemental chaos. Together with my fellow Immortals and my sister, I have carved out and tamed a paradise for my people, the ponies of the world. We have also brought balance to the rest of the world, taming its wild spirits and appointing guardians over them. But we are not infallible.

Twilight. Twilight, Twilight, Twilight. Now there was a heck of a mare. Smart, pretty, and one of the most irritating people I know. She always had this sense of being a know-it-all, like you could almost hear her correcting you out loud as you talked. But she rarely did. She just gave you that same eager smile and asked you to continue. At least when she was talking to anyone but me, that is. And then she'd leave a note for y
Secret Tub Fun 7 - PrologueIn the beginning, the world was not as we know it today. There were no monsters, and the spirits did not slumber as they do now. Grandmother Moon turned her face toward the mountain. "Why do you cry, sad mountain?" she asked. "Is the night too dark? Are the stars too bright?"

Sometimes a pony from out of town, not used to the sight of her, would stare at her slouching, and perhaps ask what she was doing. Today nobody commented. "Well, we should probably start heading to the library. We'll have to walk; the sky is too clear this morning to risk flying. Besides, this early in the morning, there shouldn't be anyone on the roads."
Rainbow's last few words were harder to understand as she spoke through her yawn. Cinching her borrowed hoodie tight around her flame-colored mane, Spitfire turned towards Fluttershy, wondering if her new friend would be walking to Ponyville with them.
"I would go with you both, but I really need to stay and finish my morning chores. I hope you understand."

The sun was just setting over Cloudsdale. This was Rainbow Dash's favorite time of day. The setting sun was repainting the city in oranges and reds. Every evening, it was a different show.
As the sun slipped behind the horizon, and Luna's night sky came with its blue and purple light, Rainbow kicked off from the cloud she had been sitting on. She had only recently been introduced to night flying, but it was quickly becoming her favorite time to fly. Diving through a cloud in the dark, you didn't really know where you'd end up. There was always that risk of coming out just above trees or into the side of a mountain, a risk that was very exhilarating.

After spending some time playing a card game together and finishing their hot chocolate, they each set to work - Twilight on some studying and Spike on some chores around the library. The sun continued lowering through the sky until it disappeared behind the horizon and the moon rose to replace it. Twilight walked back out into the main room of the library to find Spike asleep on the floor, his face resting on top of an open book. The purple unicorn smiled to herself and trotted over, carefully picking the little dragon up on her back. She put the book he had been

Locked Heart's Story Chapter 4 To The Rescue
Locked Heart sat alone in her loft apartment, reading a novel she had borrowed from the library. It was a story about a girl and boy of two different families that were at war with each other. They loved each other, but their parents hated each other, so they had to meet in secret to show their love. It was called 'Romeo and Juliet'.
Locked Heart sighed and looked out of her bench side window. The story was very tragic, and she didn't want to read any farther for fear of the book having a bad ending. She closed the book and began to watch the scenery.
Outside the world was bright and warm; a perfect spring day. The birds chirped their pretty songs as they fluttered through the apple trees, which were covered in white blossoms. Bees buzzed among the new flowers that had just come into bloom. It looked so friendly and inviting.
Locked Heart decided that she would take a walk to the market. She needed to get groceries and, 'It is a nice d

"Who are you?" she asked him seriously, glaring at him. His light blue eyes turned downward as if he was too nervous to say anything to her face.
"My name is Brass Key." He said to the floor. His hair fell down over his face, also revealing the white horn of a unicorn.
"Why are you here?" she demanded quietly. She took a glance at the space around her, "And where am I?"
He peeked through his bangs at her slightly angry face. "You are in the Ponyville Hospital," he said gravely, "You've been here for four years."
Shock, fear, and sadness each showed upon Locked Heart's face as she realized her situation. She tried to get off of her bed and stand up, but as soon as she got off the bed, she wobbled and almost fell to the ground. The machines around her began to beep frantically.
"Be careful!" Brass said as he helped her on her feet. "You haven't used your legs in four years." He slowly eased her back onto the bed. "You must be really wea

Locked Heart's Story- Chapter 0 Prologue
Locked Heart was born a special foal, her mother was a merpony, and her father was an earth pony. She was born with a mer-tail instead of a pony tail like an earth pony, and four legs instead of two like the merponies have. Being unlike both the races of her parents, she didn't fit in to either the merponies or the earth ponies. She could hold her breath longer than any earth pony, but could not breathe underwater like her mother, and she could be on land like her father, but on very sunny, hot days she would get sunburned and dehydrated easily.
Her parents named her Locked Heart because she was so meek and quiet that she would never speak unless asked a question directly. And when she did answer, it was always be in a whisper. She was very good at keeping things to herself, and hiding in a crowd of ponies.
Growing up, Locked Heart had no one she was very close too. Relatives on both sides of her family resented her, because they resented

"You probably haven't noticed me, but I was in the same class as you. I sat in the back when you came to be introduced to the class." Locked Heart looked puzzled at him. She didn't remember anypony in the back row, but then again, she hadn't really scanned the rows of students when Ms. Cherilee had introduced her to the rest of the class.
"When you came into the room something changed." He said quietly. He cleared his throat, as if preparing for an important statement. "You see, when you came into the room I could read your mind."
Locked Heart looked at him strangely, and then in shock. Her eyes opened wide and when she started to speak, she spoke with a scarily quiet, stern voice.
"All this time?"
"Have you been able to read anypony else's mind?"
"What am I thinking of right now?"
He paused a bit, "Daffodils."
"Can you do it while miles away?"
"I sense less the farther I get from you, if I'm in the same bu

Locked Heart's Story- Chapter 5 The Return of the Key
"Brass Key?" Locked Heart said, hoping that he was who she thought that he was. The young stallion sighed and turned around to face her.
His blue locks swept across his face in a slight breeze. "I told you I could read your mind," he said. He offered her his hoof to help her stand. She took it gratefully, slowly getting back on her hooves. The small crowd that had gathered at the scene slowly dispersed, as the action had disappeared.
Soon, Brass Key and Locked Heart stood alone in the clearing, both of them nervous and becoming fidgety; not quite sure what to say.
'Why did he come back for me?' Locked Heart asked herself.
"Because," Brass finished her thought, "I could feel you in pain. Even though it hurt me that you wanted me never to see you again, I could not ignore that you needed me at that moment. And I was glad that I came. If I didn't, those guys would have left you, bruised and broken, on the streets."
3 Days Regret - Part 5Pinkie Pie held her pegasus close, clutching her rainbow mane in her hooves as she gently trailed them towards her face. "I'm so happy you're ok, that you came back to me." The pink pony said happily as she leaned forward to press her lips against her lovers. Though as she kissed her there was no return, her lovers blue lips lay cold and closed. Pinkie's hoof gently trailed against the cold pegasus' face as tears slowly drenched her own. "Don't Dashie, please." She sobbed quietly as she pulled her lips away, her eyes opened to view the lifeless body of her lover resting still in her hooves.3 Days Regret - Part 5 in Short Stories More Like This
The previously pink pony lay with her face against the damp mud, her body crusted with the dirt and foliage of the Everfree Forest. Tears still streamed from her injured eye as she broke from her nightmare, unable to get a wink of sleep without her mind haunting her relentlessly. 3 Days Regret - Part 1Twilight Sparkle was woken by the light from Celestia's midday sun shining through the window, the intense light barraged her closed eyes stirring her from her sleep. The lavender pony was comfortable unlike most mornings, her back wasn't in pain as it was after nights spent on the floor of the library, but in fact felt massaged and soothed. Twilight enjoyed the feeling as she readied herself to sleep in, though it wasn't long until a new beam of light distressed her eyes again forcing her to wake. As her eyes opened the blazing light caused her to flinch, as her gaze began to come into focus the light resided behind a figure looming over her. Only a second passed before her eyes focused enough to make out the figure before her sight, a beautiful white mare sat by her side shielding her from the window's light. "Good morning Twilight Sparkle." Rarity said sweetly, brushing her hoof over Twilight's mane. "I was close to needing to say good afternoon." Special Surprise InsideFluttershy yawned quietly as she awoke from her pleasant dream. Rubbing her eyes gently the yellow pegasus extended her wings to aid her in hovering to the ground. Fluttershy gave a weak sigh as she leaned down to grab a book on the floor in her mouth and place it on the bed, as much as she loved reading in bed she never could remember to place it on the bedside cabinet before falling into her literature aided dreams.Special Surprise Inside in Short Stories More Like This
As Fluttershy finished presenting breakfast to the cottage's large selection of animals she finally sat down exhausted in her kitchen, resting her still tired face against the soft wood of the table while chewing on a few leaves she took from one of her plants. Just as the quiet pegasus was thinking of what to eat for her own breakfast a loud yell broke her trail of thought, scaring the timid pony forcing her to hide behind the table's stool.
"Hey Fluttershy!" Yelled a light blue pegasus hovering in the air above the table, staring down at her quaking friend.
3 Weeks Party - Part 2It was closing time for Sugar Cube Corner. Mrs. Cake was changing the sign on the door to 'closed' while her husband was finishing cleaning the last of the tables. "I'll go let Pinkamena know, dear" Mrs. Cake told her love as she went upstairs to Pinkie's room. They didn't have a foal of their own, and looked after Pinkie Pie as her parent figures. When she first appeared in Ponyville years ago, Pinkie was only a small pink filly and her mane was strait from sadness and the rain. The couple soon found out she had no family nearby, if any, and feeling sorry for her they decided to adopt her, at least until her parents could be found. She was such a sad pony back then.3 Weeks Party - Part 2 in Short Stories More Like This

3 Days Regret - Part 3Applejack lay awake in bed holding her legs around the shivering pegasus by her side. Though Fluttershy remained asleep the earth pony could feel the discomfort in her lover, as if suffering a terrible nightmare. Applejack looked up from the bed to gaze out the window, the outside world was barely visible befitting the early morning before Celestia's sun had fully risen in the sky. The longer she gazed outwards the more her emotions faltered, almost as if feeling pain that wasn't hers. Her thinking cut short before it could elaborate itself as the pony in her hold began to cry.3 Days Regret - Part 3 in Short Stories More Like This

Even for Fluttershy crying to such an extent due to seemingly nothing wasn't normal, especially after discovering love. As Applejack continued to c

"I bet she's good business though." Twilight gently nudged her friend desiring a reply.
Applejack smirked slightly. "Yea, she's good business. But as good as our apples are ah hope she gets some hay in her diet." The orange mare slowed down behind her friend. The unicorn seemed so happy, so innocent. Ignorant even of what was to come. "Look Twilight." Applejack ended their aimless conversation as she called over. "We really need to talk about this."
"I know." The lavender mare sighed. "Fluttershy mentioned it and you mentioned it. I know how you both feel about her, but you're forgetting

He either landed or took off, but who knows where?
