You followed the crowd of Gryffindors to the Quidditch field, decked out in scarlet and gold. Gryffindor was playing Ravenclaw, and you were of course hoping Gryffindor would win, as that was your house. You waited outside the Gryffindor changing room once you arrived down at the Quidditch field, so you could wish your brother good luck. When he stepped out, his face downcast, you walked up to him and promptly smacked his head. He looked around wildly before his eyes landed on you.
“Oliver Robert Wood, what the hell are you doing?” You asked angrily, gesturing at the dark circles under his eyes and the messy way he had put his robes on. Oliver sighed before looking tiredly at you.
“Potter’s sick, and now we have no Seeker.” You blanched at this, and hurriedly threw your arms around your brother’s neck. You were only two years younger than him, but your head only reached to his chest and you had to stand on your tiptoes to reach his neck.

You hummed as you shampooed your hair, enjoying the way the warm water soothed your muscles. You were on the Gryffindor Quidditch team, and you had had a particularly tiresome practice earlier that day. You heard some faint noises from outside the curtain, but paid no mind to it, as you assumed it was Katie or Angelina taking their own showers.
You felt a rush of cold air, and turned to find yourself looking into a pair of green (mixed with blue) eyes. You yelped quietly and hurriedly attempted to cover yourself up with your hands. George grinned cheekily at you, but his cheeks were slightly red and he hurriedly closed the curtain.
You let out a sigh before shutting off the water. You stuck your hand outside of the curtain and after a moment, George seemed to get the idea and handed you your towel. You wrapped the towel around your body and hesitantly stepped out. You winced slightly as the cold air nipped at your skin, and glared at George for ruining your nice

He had known you for years; you were one of his father’s friend’s children and had visited them at the Burrow from a young age. You were Fred and George’s age, and thus younger you had felt more comfortable around them than the other Weasleys. George sighed, once again grabbing the small velvet box from his pocket. He opened it, and looked at the ring in distain. It was simple, just a small metal band with a small stone in the center. He wanted so much better for her, and even with the joke shop doing so well, he just did not have the money to buy a fancy ring. He knew she wouldn’t care whether or not the ring was fancy, but he was still embarrassed about it.
“Will you stop sighing and just give her the damn ring already?” Fred said sharply from across the room, where he was unpacking several of their new products on the shelves.
“But what if she says no?” George asked worriedly. Fred then promptly strode over to George, and smacked his head, resulting in a loud thumping sound. George opened his mouth t

Hermione did her best to retain her dignity, but after a seventh-year Gryffindor whispered a nasty request in her ear, she retreated to Moaning Myrtle's lavatory to hide her tears. She didn't even mind the presence of the usually irritating ghost. At least Myrtle understood what it was like to be unfairly persecuted.

That made Kurt stop short. He hadn't even thought that maybe Finn knew about Rachel's fathers. But then, when he thought about it, it did make perfect sense that Rachel told him. He was going to be marrying her one day.
"Yes," said Kurt after a long moment. "Like Rachel's family."
"Oh." Finn looked at Kurt for a long moment without blinking. "Well alright then," he said with a nod. "If that is what you are, I suppose there is no changing it."
"Really?" asked Kurt, still shocked. "You don't care?"
"Rachel's family is just fine and her fathers are like you," said Finn. "Does my mother and your father know?"
"For a while now," said Kurt. "I confess I was most nervous to tell you. I didn

"This is adorable," said Blaine, pointing at the plushie of a pair of kissing dogs.
Kurt looked over and smiled. "Reminds me of that one Valentine's day. Didn't that make kissing sounds and say 'I love you'? Creepy."
"And that was also adorable," insisted Blaine. He squeezed his husband's hand. "Like you."
Kurt's face flushed and he pushed a strand of his hair out of his face. He had recently decided to stop dyeing his hair and let the grey take over. Blaine's curly hair was still mostly black, but he had the salt and pepper look going on on the sides.
"What can I get for you, sirs?" asked the young woman behind the counter.

Severus stood very still as Dumbledore walked past him, out the door, and down the revolving staircase to the griffin three floors below.
Snape was alone in Dumbledore's office.
He glared around at the many shiny, and very delicate instruments that lay on the small, rickety tables, and shelves all around the room. His eyes had just passed over the dilluminator, and an old snitch, when they fell upon a gold ring with a small black stone cut in a diamond shape. There was a triangle, and circle, and line set into the top of the stone. He caught his breath.
It had been years since he had heard his mother's sweet voice telling him the ancient tales, but he could still recite them by heart. There sat the Resurrection Stone of Cadmus Peverell.
He took a step closer, and reached out to touch it. After the slightest hesitation, he lifted it from its resting place on the table and held it in his hand. He tilted it closer to the light, and noticed a very fine crack cut diagonally on the face of t

"Severus, it is imperative that I speak with you."
The Potions Master looked up from his gently simmering cauldron to see the Headmaster standing in the doorway of the dungeon.
Dumbledore held up a rather shabby package wrapped in brown paper. "It has arrived." He brought it over to the table where Snape stood, and placed it on the table. "Just in time, too, for I have received a letter that an attempt has already been made." He pulled a letter out of his pocket and set it next to the little package. It was addressed to Dumbledore from the Head Goblin of Gringotts.
"So, this is really it then?" Snape asked, barely brushing the package with the tips of his fingers. When the Headmaster didn't object, Snape gingerly picked it up and removed the wrappings. A small, somewhat unimpressive, blood-red red stone sat in his hand.
It was completely unremarkable except for the way it reflected the fire under Snape's cauldron. The flames seemed to dance across the surf
