You couldn't figure out what type Burgh used until you walked into his Gym. And then, well, it slapped you in the face. There was so much honey covering everything, it was hard to identify the paintings, so dim they glowed amongst the bright shine of honey. Burgh was painting when I arrived, numerous jesters dancing around him.
"Burgh, what are you doing?" I asked clearly as I struggled to free my boot from the Gym's sticky decorations. Burgh looked up absent-mindedly. "Painting, of course."
I rolled my eyes. "Well, no duh. But what are they doing?" Burgh looked around at his Gym's Trainers. "Posing."
I just put my hand on my hip. "And our battle is... When?" Burgh looked up, and then instantly started packing everything away, even pushing his apprentices out of the way when they continued to dance stubbornly. "So. Let's battle! Show me your artistic grace, Bl

That meeting, like all when it came to me, was a rough one. It didn't help that all the older boy could talk about was whether or not pokemon were really happy with us, so all I could think of in return was how great his aqua green eyes would compliment a great big black bruise. You can't really blame me! Maybe I only had three pokemon so far, but I figured we were pretty chummy, for only have knowing eachother for a day. Cheren, my black haired childhood friend, narrowed his eyes as he said something about wanting to be Champion, the strongest of the strong. I missed what the other boy said, as I was figuring out how to attack him without him being able to grab the pokeball that rested at his hip. Cheren meanwhile, glanced at me, as though asking if I could believe any of this, but then again, as I just mentioned, I wasn't listening, because I was wondering whether or not I had brought along a bobby pin, which I could use to kill the teen in less than ten seconds. I blinked the sleep out of my eyes as I turned over in bed. Sunshine creaked through the wide window on the wall. Shaking my head sleepily, I forced myself to sit up. I looked at my surroundings, as I hadn't had much energy to last night. I hadn't noticed how tired I was until I saw Dawn's family's spare bed, and then I wanted to collapse. Not to mention I still hadn't met her family, as her little sister and grandfather had been the only ones home, and they were already in bed when we arrived. I wonder how her parents would react when they found Barry sleeping on their spare bedroom floor. And me in their kitchen, helping Dawn with breakfast. Or maybe she brings teenage guys home all the time. That could be possible too.
There actually happened to be two beds in the spare room, but of course, to escape Princess's wrath, Barry slept on the floor. Speaking of Princess, she had decided that she would stand guard during the night, in case Barry got the sneaky idea to crawl into the bed wh

The end of summer was nearing. Now, you could begin to taste the soft feeling of leaves changing colour, and boys had started to pull on their T-shirts while girls exchanged their spaghetti straps for clothes with a little more coverage on the arms. And most importantly, peoples lives-much like the falling leaves, which just months ago had begun to grow after a cold winter-were about to change. Very much.
Morty, an upperclassman at the nearby high school, knew this. He could taste it in the smell of the incense he lit every night; change was coming. He didn't know exactly what this change was, or who it would effect. He just knew change was coming. Once again, he lit the incense in his family's shrine; it was a ritual he did daily, a form of relaxation. He turned, surprised to see two younger teens watching him from behind a few bushes. He cocked his head, curious.

I sat down beside her, Ethan sitting beside me as Morty placed himself on the other side of him. I opened my red bag, pulling out a sandwich before I leaned in beside Leaf.
"So. How were your classes?" Leaf sighed. "You know that professor guy from your neighborhood? He's my Health and Careers teacher." I giggled.
"Professor Elm? That's cool. I didn't know he worked here," I replied, biting into my tart. Ethan glanced at me, and I glanced back at him. He grinned, snatching my wrist and taking a bite of my tart. I fumed as Gary chuckled.

I glanced down at myself, feeling a little cold as I wasn't wearing a shirt. I considered at least pulling on the discarded bomber jacket on the bedside table, but the idea of wearing leather on bare skin was too revolting, and by the time I found the shirt I regularly wore underneath the leather garment, the knocker would probably be gone. I shrugged, walking to the door passively. I mean, come one-I had pants on. It wasn't that bad.
Obviously, the knocker thought differently. As soon as I opened the door, Leaf turned a certain red that probably isn't healthy. I just stared at her, watching as her face turned from red to blue to green to purple and back to red. She definitely couldn't be feeling well.
Leaf swallowed, staring me in the face. "Sh-S

"Aww.... Your Shinx is too cute!" a slightly bubbly, but no where near Dawn's, voice cooed behind me. I glanced back at the speaker. She was a brunette, same age as me (I think), and her hair reached somewhere around her knees. Her hoodie was blue, and the zipper that rested on her chest was unusually large. Her navy blue jeans were tattered around the knees, and she wore brown shin-high boots.
'Er, no he isn't,' I thought as the girl bent down to pet him. She smiled up at me as Pharaoh began to purr.

I wish that I weren't like them.
Why can't I be a bird, like you?

Your morning song's so beautiful,
You bring dying birds a cure.
I cannot understand their ways,
Why don't they encage me?
I'm not so different from yourself,
I've even made some wings.
But they do not help me fly like you,
Oh I wish they'd let you leave,
I'll just release you, that I will.
I'm going to set you free!
Come, come now little bird.
I mean to you no harm.
Perch here upon my shoulder, bird
Or here, rest on my arm.
I'm going to free you now my friend.
But please, be very quiet.
So do not chirp,
And do not sing,
Or else they'll come and find us.
But if they do, I'll stay with you.
And bid they encage me,
Then we will fly away some day,
Together, flying free.

Today marks the date of my 17th birthday, as well as the day of my 5th marriage.
Today I am to marry a man of mother's choosing, since it was my father's turn last time.
I am the last of my 3 siblings to be given away to marriage, although I am the eldest. However, for some reason or another, my husbands have all died suddenly from various mishaps from drowning, to heart attacks. Many of the people of my village suspect me as the culprit, the mastermind behind their tragic deaths. But they are wrong. I have loved each and every one of my husbands from the bottom of my heart. He gazed down from the window and watched a group of rich fat ladies stand around the great fountain; gobbling like wild turkeys as they shared new gossip. Mink and beautiful jewelry adorned each of their thick necks. Little dachshunds trotted around on their 3 inch legs dressed just as lavishly as the fat ladies were. When the Sun meets the Moon
Told in Luno's POV:
I didn't know where we were. What I did know is that I didn't trust the boy who took us. He had short, black hair, wore a green T-Shirt, with brown shorts under it. I remembered how he found Solé and I...
"Solé!!" I shrieked. I didn't know what to do. I had a complete black out, like I was a complete moron. I didn't know what to do. The blood rushed through my veins. I didn't even hear that boy peeking into the tree.
"Hey, it's an Umbre-" He went silent when he saw Solé beside me. A shocked expression laid on his face. He was older than my Trainer, about fifteen, maybe sixteen. Did he think I did that to her? He shook his head and carefully pushed me aside. I was...afraid. My last contact with humans was with my 'Trainer'. I sprang aside, almost to the wall. The boy picked Solé up.
"No!" I yelled. The boy looked at me, as if he understood me.
"It's ok, I just want to take a better look at her w

Is where I am standing.
I will not back down,
I am still wordmancing.
This goes out to,
My greatest rival.
I fell down hard,
Now you wear my title.
I used to be the King,
but now I am down.
So you can keep the title,
And take the crown.
But now I'm climbing back,
To the top of hill.
So wash and wait for me,
Cause I'm goin' for the kill.
You are the greatest,
Poet of Light.
Your emotions and your heart,
Are fuckin' bright.
But forget me not,
I am the dark of night.
And you are the target,
Within my sight.

Coward of a ManCoward of a Man:Coward of a Man in Free Verse More Like This
You stand there whinin', cryin' crocodile tears and playin' victim.
Ye eyes demand pity, but yer lips are spewin' nothin' but lies.
Flowery speeches o' harmony and unification;
It's bollocks and snake-oil I say!
I ask ye, as someone who aspires t' be a leader:
What exactly are ye worth?
Who exactly are ya, and what in th' bloody hell makes you worth followin'?
Now I've watched ye fer a long time, and I've known ye fer even longer -
Ye always stand there beggin', askin' us fer help, askin' fer a handout;
But yer hands are clean, uncalloused, and completely free from sweat or toil.
Instead, ye make us promises; promises as empty as air and about half as useful!
In the end, here ye are again, callin' fer our unification, callin' fer togetherness.
Isn't that just yer own way of hidin' behind the labour and efforts of others?
While we stand out in th' front, ye sit behind and give us speeches,
Ye tell us that we're comin' together fer the good of us all
Whispers of the MadWhispers of the Mad:Whispers of the Mad in Free Verse More Like This
Your lips remain painted with the scars of torment
Carved so as to split with every word of speech
The glass that slices through your softened flesh
Bears the marking we know as 'Vinashuka'
And now he lies beneath the falling sand
Drowning in a world that is sinking away
Though his feet will seek the stability of ground
He finds himself caught by 'Vinashuka'
A disturbing word that rings hollow at best
For it carries the tone of a tainted solitude
A heart that has been corrupted by physical pain
Can only scream 'Vinashuka!'
How does a man know when he has gone insane?
To descend into a world where logic is naught
A moon that carries the colour of blood
Shall paint my skin with 'Vinashuka'
I have lost all sense of meaning in this place
There is no where else for my soul to flee
Caught within the whispers of delusory madness
I can only repeat Vinashuka...

KidKid:Kid in Free Verse More Like This
I enter the classroom and look around
I sit at my desk and stare at the floor
Nobody here ever tries to talk to me
and I can't really talk to them
I usually wait for class to begin
But ten minutes can feel like an eternity
I wish I could pop in my earphones
But they cut them in half yesterday...
Sometimes I hear them talking about me
But the words are always the same
They say it so much that I start to believe;
That I'm really what they say I am
Ugly, fat, stupid, beast;
These are the lightest words that they use
I wonder why they have to do it to me
But I don't know what it's like to be normal
Lunchtime is usually not so bad
I try to keep to myself wherever I can
It didn't work so well today though
Because they noticed me sitting in the corner
The biggest one in the group decides to approach me
His words sound like he's speaking in tongues
My heart seizes up and I'm too scared to react
So he ends up pouring milk over my head
What You Can't RememberWhat You Can't Remember:What You Can't Remember in Free Verse More Like This
You know that something's wrong inside
But you will try to hide it.
Far away from prying eyes;
You say you don't remember...
What is this memory inside.
You feel like you've forgotten.
A part of you decides;
To say you don't remember...
How long will you deny
The bitter truth behind it.
The day you lost yourself;
But now you can't remember...
When first you took away the mask
And looked back at the mirror.
You thought you saw another man;
But you simply don't remember...
The times when you were not yourself
When you forced yourself upon her.
It was a day like this;
But now you won't remember...
The past is locked away for good;
Now hide it with a key.
Smile and carry on in life;
In time you won't remember...

You Left Me StrongerYou Left Me Stronger:You Left Me Stronger in Urban & Spoken Word More Like This
Hey there, it's been awhile, do you remember me?
I guess you might not, since I wasn't very important to you.
You know, I spent so many days thinking about - what I did wrong
I questioned if maybe, I was at fault or if I was screwed up.
I thought a lot about the things you said...
The things that were my fault, my problems.
I took them to heart at first, but then I realised you were wrong.
I realised that you are selfish and ugly on the inside.
On the surface you pretended to care, but like a cancer;
You amputate someone the moment you think they've gone bad.
You hide from the rigours of life and only emerge like a parasite
When everything is good - when everything is fine and dandy.
I used to think that I was afraid of you leaving,
But now I know, that you've left me stronger than I was before.
You know, this was supposed to be an emotional whine; an emotional spill,
Maybe I was supposed to cry tears and beg you to come back, but you know wha
