I got the USB drive from `jademacalla so I'm going to be submitting a lot of stock a lot more often than normal so I can get it all posted. I will probably post one to three images a day as long as I can keep up with messages. Glad you guys like this shoot so far! There's a lot more to post!

Today I'm posting three images from early on in the shoot. Still trying to get a grip on my air skills.

Funded through Kickstarter.

Please credit and notify both :iconjademacalla: and :iconsenshistock: if you use this image.

Spent most the night just working on shapes and shape play. Took an initial stab at streamlining Frankenborgs silhouette, less bubble muscles and slimming down the tech. Somewhere between Gears of War and Tron is what I'm thinking, plus save me or anyone from drawing 100 cables every panel or so. Gloves should have a battle mode, also threw down a battle armor mode, tho its mostly just his top. I'll be back on this Thurs night.

About this project: Well if you don't know my history with this project, over the next year or so you will lol. What I started working on in 2007... damn. 2007, I'm restarting again with mah buddy Kevin Grevioux. Right now its design work for a possible cartoon, perhaps sequential work in the future. I'll be doing a regular podcast once a month or so covering my history and continued progress with Monstroids.

Just launched my next Kickstarter, gonna combine my gaming magazine design work on Play/GameFan with comic book/art book style stuffs.
It's more like if the Penny Arcade characters did actual mag style reviews, like a Gaming Comic Book if that makes sense. Been a dream of mine to do this since 2010, glad to take the first step forward since canceling GameCave last year.

The main KS will feature 6 11x17 prints. 5 will be my orig characters in cosplay with accessories, each featuring a classic fighting game. The 6th print will be backer voted, could be anything, with the original art to be raffled off to those who backed the physical tiers. The tier will also include a 94 page digital PDF, covering the best in retro and modern fighting games, written by all 8 of our fictional editors, the Game Cave Crew. There will be an add on option for a physical copy of the book, avail to those who backed the physcial tiers. Lastly there will be 100 random sketchy and suave commsihes each. The stretchgoals will be a total of 6 extra prints, all backer voted, adn three 11x17 custom commish slots which will be raffled off among the physical tier backers. I'm hard at work on this now and moving quickly to get it up this month. Here we go

In honour of the recent 50th anniversary of the film debut of a pretty cool character (although not quite as cool as his literary version), here's a series from our recent shoot with the unbelievably AWESOME *SenshiStock (aka Sakky Attacky!).

We were able to produce some fantastic shots that would otherwise have never been possible, all thanks to everyone who supported the recent Kickstarter campaign! Check out *SenshiStock's gallery for images from the 'real' shoot.

This set of 20 images (labelled 'F2-x') is the result of the Kickstarter experiment originally discussed here: [link] . Although the core set was to have been 16 images, I wanted to add a few extra to say thanks for all the support throughout this project.

The Kickstarter framework is definitely a viable option for Photo Reference Artists who need to fund aspects of their creative projects. If any of my artist friends are considering using Kickstarter and would like to chat about what I've learned from this project/experiment, just let me know.

TUMBLR ARTBLOG

Decided to change the titles on these deviations since they are technically not "tutorials" but just my own drawing studies.

For the head angles I used this as reference. It's really handy I must say. One day I shall manage to draw the whole "map" on my own : >
At the moment I'm a bit too tired trying to dig out all the othe references I used on the other studies, I'll prob make a journal with links to them sooner or later.

Okay guys, this is more or less just as improvised as the first one.

And I didn't expect to get 6k views on the first one, this feels very bizarre to me. It's the first time I actually see my work on the front page :S

This one is uh... I feel like this is needed to know for those who are especially stuck with drawing shoujo manga which often have a very "flat" style, I hope this will help you start to see the face in 3D and not like a bookmark.

Also ONE MORE THING:
The proportions may not be 100% accurate, and NO YOU DON'T NEED TO DRAW THOSE SKULLS, they are more like references of how you should think more or less.

gosh noone is gonna read the description anyway lolololol.

Okay enough of me babbling. TIME TO DDDDDDDRAW!
