The resolution of the Dominion Conflict meant that Starfleet's Galaxy Class fleet would finally return to its original mission profile. Seen here is the USS Venture, surveying the Class M world of the Sentara System. Of particular note is the addition of phaser arrays on the nacelles, a stark reminder of her wartime role.

The XT-35 is a light armored vehicle, armed with a double-barreled, rapid-fire 30 mm gun, 4 anti-tank missiles and smoke grenades.
3x3 wheelbase gave him a all-terrain capability and high speed, to compensate light armor.

Wolf Link Tattoo design anyone?
Hey guys! Day 11 was done for a contest on instagram.  The theme was to draw your favorite character from any fandom.  Naturally I had some difficulty, but I chose wolf Link from LoZ Twilight Princess in the end.  That game is just really close to my heart.  *Edit* This is just my interpretation of him, I know many illustrations portray him a darker shade of green...I just naturally tend to make my drawings light and bright. ;)

I had a few people asking questions about materials, so here is what I used for this:

- A very thin layer of PH Martin's Concentrated watercolors
-Prismacolor and Faber Castelle color pencils for the top layer (most of what is visible is pencil, even many of the wisps in the background)
- Tombo marker for a few finishing touches
-White liquid acrylic for a few 'shiny' spots

Prize unit for the brand-new WAR COMMANDER event Operation: Archangel, which is running RIGHT NOW! Check it out, Commanders! This is the most elaborate artwork I've done to date for WC, mainly because we wanted a piece of marketing artwork this time, and not just a production concept.

My colleague :iconsharpwriter: gave me an initial design sketch to start things off, and I did the finished illustration you see here.

And yes, before you ask, she'll probably need a flight cap before she takes off. :)

The Black Knights are a CITY of HEROES villain group that premiered with the new Night Ward zone in Issue 23.

In doing the concept, I had two key goals:
1. Figure out a series of armor layers that together could cover the whole villain group, from scrubs to bosses AND

2. simultaneously make sure the assets could work on the player models. With the original Medieval set woefully out-of-date and never that historically accurate to begin with, we really wanted to use this opportunity to address those problems and give players something worthy of the era

Definitely a lot of things to accomplish in just one model, but I think we got it right.

Cover art for "Who Will Die?" Part 2. This is the second chapter in CITY OF HEROES' inaugural Signature Story Arc. In this episode, someone's after the skull of Numina's dead father.

Signature Story Arcs are the brand new, top-end missions for CITY OF HEROES, delivered monthly just like a comic book, and they're free for VIP subscribers. Following their deaths in the "Who Will Die?" storyline, two of the game's most recognizable characters were permanently removed from the game.

:bulletred: I do apologize for the obnoxious watermarks but they have been put in place to help cut down on the prolific theft of my artwork as well as to protect the commissioned art that was designed for my clients' use. It is an intensely frustrating thing seeing a design you worked so hard to create being reposted or even sold elsewhere without your knowledge or consent and that does not even begin to cover how my clients feel about it. And that is why the watermarks exist and are going to remain. Any snarky comments regarding them will be marked as spam. :bulletred:

Braniac was a tough nut to crack... this was probably my third attempt or so... I wasn't sure if we were gonna go with the skinny (more Terminator) version of Braniac, or the green-skinned one.... I think this version made it to the demos at SDCC, but I think the final version in the game ended up being much more "Gears of War-ish" .... I was purposely trying to keep Braniac streamlined and elegant, almost with a sense of 60's tech to it, BUT that can sometimes 'read' as simple on games nowadays, so I totally understand why Braniac needed to be a little 'busier' design-wise, specially as a "Boss character".

... although, I gotta admit, sometimes I do get sick of designs with 20 different patterns and shapes on just a forearm alone in some of today's game design...... it's a fine line between 'eye candy' and 'eye death-by-sugar'.

... sometimes some of the most fun things to work on a game is ANYTHING that changes the routine a bit, even if that's something as simple as designing 'energy signatures'.... this kind of stuff is not generally the concept designers job, BUT I find it's good to give the particle FX artist a rough idea of what the hell I was thinking....

....take the top cannon for example: it doesn't have a 'canon' or anything that shows "this is where the blast comes from', SO with that one I felt I HAD to roughly show what the hell it does... otherwise it just looks like a big flashlight or something.

Energy signatures are also VERY important I think in being able to differentiate 'factions'... these here are 'S.T.A.R. labs', so I figure they shoot energy blasts (vs. say, League of Assassins, who shoot mainly flechettes)..... then again, it's just nice to get away from something as 'specific' as designing tech, to something much more abstract, in the case of coming up with 'energy signature' ideas. :)

... designing Scarface was fun as hell.... in the description it said that it was in Joker's power, so I thought it'd be cool if Joker totally defaced the poor little bastard by taking his pants off, and carving the hell out of it's face... he went pretty smoothly to 'finished version'... I think I only did one rough-prelim before this version ... it's nice when that happens! :)
