Here is another illustration painted to show how the Human ships are able to use robotics to either replace broken turrets or replace them with a different kind of turret/weapon. The robotics run on rails and use robotic arms the pull off the turret and replace it with another that is stored in the storage area of the ship.

Another painting for the game Novus Aeterno. This image was used as a guide to show the look and general feel of the big gas and dust clouds that are to be added into the games space to make space less empty and boring. There is a huge fleet of ships breaking orbit from a planet that can just be seen behind the big dust cloud. This is the first image I did that showed off all the ships the human race has, minus a big ass one but more on that later. The ships are paint-overs of 3D models created by our very talented 3D ship modeler some adjustments were made but the basic shape was kept for accuracy.
More info on the game can be found on its Facebook page and Twitter
Continuing with the upload of work I have done so far working at Taitale Studios on their new MMORTS game Novus Aeterno I present to you Derelict (my balls) I did the joke here first but I know it wont stop the comments rolling in with that in them haha, also if you've never seen Zoolander you will have no idea what that means. Anyway back on to the subject of the image, its actually a remake of a much older image I did for the game a long time ago before I was actually part of the team just doing freelance work, the old image goes by the same name and the principle is the same a giant war torn world and a wreak of a large ship in orbit. This is one of my favorite images so far out of the pile of images I've done for the game.

Another quick paint between commissions to keep me sane, I think I'm getting down a nice balance.
Here's the Star Protectorate flagship with an escort fleet. It is the most powerful ship on it's side of known space. Rarely deployed into battle, it stands watch over the protectorate, a deterrent to any invasion.
Another fleet painting, this time of an invasion capable Battle Cruiser.
From the same specialized shipworks that created the colossal protectorate flagship, this ship is designed to command and deliver serious firepower deep into enemy space, with or without an accompanying fleet. Three main forward cannons handle long range engagements, 12 turrets house secondary gun pairs that provide closing range firepower. Various other points give protection against smaller threats. Onboard is carried a compliment of fighters and gunships, along with the capability to carry and launch a strike battalion via dropships.
I got permission to post my storyline art that I did for a game called Söldner X 2: Final Prototype. developed by Sidequest Studios in Germany. These are the edited versions (not my final ones which looked pretty different for some of these) that appear in the game for the Playstation 3. Most of them are a mix of 2D and 3D elements.
Every once in a while, Hideyoshi puts a few more hours into his paintings. Neglectfully, he paints away without proper planning and concept, hiding a boring base in eyecandy detail and colors. Then he regrets that he did and submits it to DA anyway b̶̶e̶̶c̶̶a̶̶u̶̶s̶̶e̶̶ ̶̶h̶̶e̶̶ ̶̶t̶̶h̶̶i̶̶n̶̶k̶̶s̶̶ ̶̶h̶̶e̶'̶s̶̶ ̶̶c̶̶o̶̶o̶̶l̶̶.̶
--- *cough no 3D base (except for the 3 main buildings), I was struggling with making the boring composition work. There are some scale issues and most of the building design is rather generic.
I'm so glad to present to you the result of a lot of work on Vue and photohop in this science-fiction matte painting. I really thank the talented and friendly Lum mate for his help on this one. This one is probably the most achieve piece I've ever done so far.
The modelling of the sci-fi city has been entirely designed and modelled in Vue 9 by myself. It took me about 20-30 hours in the process playing with the nodes and filters following some pro tuts and stuff. Spaceships have been modelled and rendered in 3DSmax and all postwork has been done in Photoshop with quite a lot of little details here and there, textures and lights...!
I really hope you'll enjoy this one. The story is a city in the middle of the desert, swallowed through time by the sand. The title is of course in reference to Revenge of The Siths, so time now to find where is hidden the Jedi in the scene, mouhahahaaaa!!
Enjoy and thx for your favs and comments...and support!
It's been a while since I did not make a matte sci-fi scene and here is "The Terminal". This one is fully inspired by a French artist I discovered in the following book in french (sorry...): [link] It's Paul Chadeisson I should credit him for the composition and the brushes he kindly shared, check out his website: [link] Have a look at his gallery, it's really good.
Nevertheless, everything has been fully made by myself, no like for like elements. I added many things, details and textures.
I imagined myself receiving such a postcard one day, maybe you too? This is a much more futuristic continuation of my previous piece "Sailing Over The Beams" I hope this one would encounter the same enthousiam. Thanks for your comment. All made in photoshop CS3. All stocks are mine.

“I travelled into space maybe three or four times and the sight is still the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. It must be the saddest thing to work up here. Seeing this grand view but not being able to appreciate it anymore. That’ll never happen to me!”

“Looking down into this mess of a city it looks almost peaceful. A symbol of how far mankind came the last 500 years. All the magic we are able to do now and take for granted. All these amazing achievements. But we’re sill looking for the things we’ve always been looking for. Peace, hope, new goals and a better life.”
Part Four of my submission to the 'Sequential' themed 15th Artpack of #theluminarium - [link]
Thousand years ago we only dreamed of the magic we are able to do today. Today we dream of things that may be absolutely business as usual in another thousand years. Drawing energy from nothing... other dimensions maybe? We should only hope that things don't excalate in all the greed for energy nowadays. If there is one constant in the universe then the fact that energy will always be needed to do amazing things. That could definitely sling back at us and break our necks. As we've all seen in recent events.
'Energy' was the topic for The Luminarium's newest art collection release which can be found here: [link] - some really cool works among them. Especially the music that comes with the pack. Check it out!
The making of the pic was pretty much business as usual. I struggled a bit with the structures and the final result may not be the best solution. Nonetheless i hope it's a cool addition to the pack. However, i wanted to show some kind of a futuristic energy generator. Right from the beginning i knew i had to visualize the energy effect by using Apophysis fractals. This was fun. I also used the metablob function in Vue to create that weird mass thingie. A lot of post work in Photoshop again.
