OLD SCHOOL CRAFT MISSION 3 - STAGE 1

old school fans know may this game too good
some may love
and some just hate it
(ore both :D )

one of the greatest score shooter but also one tough
if you don't choose the right weapon for the right situation you're just fucked :D

about the model:
i just have to say this
sometimes i have the feeling that the creator don't build there own models
some are just badly designed
but not in this case
quite the opposite
when i have to describe it, then only with one word
!genius!

this model is just genius and you just know that "Irem" build this one not only one time
everything fit just perfect

if i have to prefere a model as a starter
then this one
try it, build it
and enjoy it, this one is just great :)

you can download the model here
the power orb is also avaiable here

oh man, that took long ^^;
but finally i can show you and share the final model of Tails

before you now download the model, print and start to build it without any background informations
i have to warn you, building this model was just a pain is the ass and it was probably the hardest model i build so far :faint:
and in my case that should mean something :blushes:

even the editing was hell and meanwhile i know my job, but had i known that it would be that hard, i had edit the model much much more
there are still a few issues in the mesh but no worries, i will explain everything in the building process shots. :)

i can't really say why it was so hard, there are not much pieces or rather, not more then other model
i also cut the sheets in the best way i know, but to combine all the stuff, specially the wiskers, the chest and the tail pieces, was just ugh
maybe because this time it was just something special
the model is flying, the tail is quite the same size as the rest of the model and to find a working method to combine it with the torso took me a whole week
but hey, it is working as you can see and that's part of the job, to find and solve issues of the own models ;P

i also made a lot of photos this time, that you shouldn't have that much problems here :meow:

model description:
the model will come on 37 pages with 265 pieces and is 45cm tall
again, the model has a flying pose and will not stand anywhere
it is very hard and has a lot of weird looking pieces

the difficult level this time is 10
so don't underestimate it
and take a look at the building process gallery

file description:
the file contains as always three pdo files
one with texture and folding lines
one with texture and without folding lines
and one white version with folding lines

so you need again the Pepakura Viewer what you can get "here"

all three pdo's are not protected
so if you have the Designer, you can edit the sheets in the way you want :)

i didn't made any pdf files yet, because with 70mb each, they are just huge :(
but maybe i find an other way to upload them :)

the package also includes original texture

if you have any problems ore questions
feel free to ask :)

to download the model
click on the download button on the right side
you can thank dA for, that i can't write the direct link anymore

some word to the bloggers

you have the permission to use my photos
this model is a Deviantart only download
so do not upload this model somewhere else
and the most important thing

this model is free and should it be
so let it be!

and trust me, i search for my stuff ;)

feel also free to write a critique :)

Hell yeah
after three and a half months of hard work
one month 3d editing and Pepakura cutting, two and a half building time
i'm finally done
:iconvictorydanceplz: :icondweebdanceplz: :iconcarameldansenplz:

this was a really sick project and i'm apologize for the long waiting time
but here is that, what you are all (ore at least a few) waiting for
the final version of the Clap-Trap :aww:
and without being arrogant
i'm fucking proud of it :boogie:

-IMPORTANT EDIT!-
i noticed that a lot of people are irritated of the parts in the pdo file (top and left side)
these pieces are garbage and useless
i designed the model in that way, that you don't need them for building, they exist just because i need the taps for the open sides.

why you don't need them?
the most of the pieces are used to close the parts
but because you have to glue them together anyway, they are useless
and why waste time to cut and money for ink for over 100 pieces ;)

you also may notice that they are also complete parts like the lens ore the shoulder plates
don't think about them
in the building process i re-edit the model several times, re-import the edited pieces into the pdo and moved the old sheets out of the printing range.

that's also the next point
all this pieces on the top and left will be NOT printed
so don't worry, you get everything what you need in the right way :)

file description:
the file contains three pdo files
one with texture and folding lines
one with texture and without folding lines
and one white version with folding lines

so you need again the Pepakura Viewer what you can get here

all three pdo's are not protected
so if you have the Designer, you can edit the model in the way you want

the file also include the original texture as .jpg and .psd (to change the colors)
and two others textures
one from jacob's cove (from the Dr. Ned addon)

and an instruction for the modifications

to download the model
click on the download button on the right side
you can thank dA for, that i can't write the direct link anymore

further model description:
the model will come on 65 pages with over 400 parts
so be warned, it's not an easy one

if you have problems ore stuck
pls ask me here
ore in the Papercraft Forum from :iconthepapercraftcouple: (thx for support guys :) )

what's left ?
just to say have fun :)

p.s.
send me a link of your build ore wip version

Finally finished this Gundam! can't believe I started with this project last year! haha, anyway, I've introduced the "Background colour" to this model because there were some annoying white pieces over the model which would look better with it.
Also included the possibility to build Open and/or Closed wings!
Test build was made by :iconairasumi: as well as the photographs!
The .rar contains: 9 PDOs, 9 PDFs as well, 21 Pages for the model (If you build only 1 pair of wings)

Alright! I'm on a roll this week! I give to you: Cortana, from the Halo series.

This one is surprisingly easy compared to the Master Chief model I did nearly a year ago... well, 8 months or so. So easy, in fact, that I didn't bother to write instructions for it. The pieces are all lined up on their sheets the way they need to be assembled.

For a little side-by-side, I included a size comparison picture at the bottom to give you an idea of how big she really comes out to be. With the Chief standing at ~13 inches (~33cm), Cortana is only ~8.5 inches (~22cm) tall, the base having a diameter of ~7 inches (~17.5 cm). In addition, as opposed to Master Chief's 9 pages (+1 for gun), Cortana is only 3 pages (+2 for base).

Updated! I'm going through my entire gallery and taking down all the multiple paged models, and uploading a single PDF containing all the pages to help keep things neat!

Here's a quick one I did for a friend. It's a Flying Toaster from the old Mac screen saver. It comes as-is, no instructions should really be necessary though. The wire stand you can see in the top half is just a jerry-rigged coat hanger bent to support it by the wings.
This wasn't the best design because in order to make the wings double sided without actually going through the relatively small trouble of aligning it to print that way (some printers, i.e. mine, are too inaccurate to do a good job of double sided printing anyway), i made two of each wing. you just reverse the folds on the bottom half and use a light amount of glue along each pieces 'backside' to stick them together.
I suppose I could have just used the excuse that since it has wings, it's meant to be off the ground, but eh, what do you want from me? ;)

Note: The pieces marked 'Legs' in the cut-out picture weren't actually included in this picture's model. They were an after-thought, and I never bothered to actually do them.

PDF of pages 1-2

Tali was the first Mass Effect papercraft I ever made, and at the time a rather ambitious project considering I'd mostly just done N64 and Wii models before. But things just happened to work and it made a template, that thanks to some heavy simplification of the original 3D model, worked surprisingly well. After considering the ever shrinking list of ME characters I'd like to make, and looking at some of their 3D models, I ended up deciding to work on Tali again but in her new ME3 outfit.

For the first time I've used high resolution textures for a model, from Smarteck's HD replacements for the ME3 PC version ( social.bioware.com/forum/1/top… ) and some advice concerning them from DaiShiHUN (he knows why ;P). DaiShi has also produced several Mass Effect characters, scaled to mine so check out his gallery too! ( daishihun.deviantart.com/galle… )

The textures look great and I'm very happy how the overall build has turned out as well! It's certainly harder than the ME2 version so if you are new to papercrafting then I recommend you try that version first. Built between 10th-24th June.

Below you can find the links to download the resources so you can print and build your own version!

Additional notes within the download file and on PDO/PDF #1. Any other questions, feel free to ask.

-------Read Before Downloading------

It's a 92MB RAR file which contains PDFs and PDOs to print from or use as references. ~44.0cm tall, 18 pages and at least 230 pieces including the Scimitar Shotgun.

You can open the RAR archive with software such as WinRAR, Alzip, 7Zip. Just search around! ;)

You can open the PDO files with Pepakura Viewer downloadable free here: www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en…

Please do use this as it's immensely helpful as a resource and will show you exactly where parts go. It doesn't work on Macs unfortunately though.

Difficulty: 9/10 (More complex than the ME2 version with a greater amount of fine details)

This model has been made as part of a collaboration between :iconxenonray: and :iconstudioofmm: to finally bring you all a detailed papercraft of Midna in her imp form.

The pictures here are from Studio of M.M's excellent 122cm build! Have a look at some of her full photos: [link] [link]

Derived from her trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, I edited Twilight Princess' fiesty imp into a form suitable for building way back in autumn 2011. But it was in an awkward floating pose and I ended up working on my Garrus model instead and forgot about her for a long time. A year later I learned to re-pose it in Blender to a more basic but workable standing position, edited it a lot more and made an unfold.

But technically there's a catch compared to my usual models. I only built most of the body file before stopping (not however due to bad design I stress). Sadly the colours of the skin came out all dark from my printer, including what should've been the lighter toned bits. So I lost interest but it would've been a shame to shelve the model for a second time. Fortunately *studioofmm volunteered kindly to help me out...although she had it in mind to edit and enlarge the whole thing to build a life sized version! So now with her great finished photos and the knowledge that the model is buildable all the way through, I'm releasing both of our versions of the template.

So in short there's a normal 37cm version and a life sized 122cm version available (the Fused Shadow makes up about 33% of the height). But no instructions, PDO files only because you'll certainly need them: best not to be messing around trying to figure things out from a PDF. But we've included plenty of notes to try and help you, however it goes without saying that you might want to have some experience in papercrafting already.

If you have any questions, please ask me about the general model/smaller template, or Studio of M.M about the life sized one. We'll try to help as best as we can! :)

Please tell me if you spot any errors that I might have missed due to not building it myself. (not something I'm going to make a habit of)

-------Read Before Downloading-------

It's a 8.75MB RAR file which contains PDOs to print from and use as a references. 17 pages for the small one (not including stand), and a whopping 120 pages to bust your printer ink on for the life sized one. :p

You can open the RAR archive with software such as WinRAR, Alzip, 7Zip. Just search around!

You can open the PDO files with Pepakura Designer downloadable free here: [link]

You will need to use these to print from and figure out where the parts go, especially for the big template. It won't work on Macs unfortunately unless you emulate Windows etc.

I was thinking the other day, that I might do a group picture of all of my models I've built over the past 4 years. Most live in shoe boxes or in the wardrobe, with only my newer big ones on display. So I was quite giddy to see them all out at once.

Papercrafts, papercrafts everywhere! I don't want to guess how many sheets were used for these things, even not counting test prints and rebuilds. All I know is I've bought 3 reams of 160gsm in as many years, and an unspecified amount of 180/200gsm on top of that. Recycle your scraps and left overs kids!

For scale, the big back row ones are between 40-49cm.

Uh lets see, Back Row:
Nephenee, Haar, Lucia, Tali, Liara, Garrus, Shepard, Mordin, Midna

Back Middle: WW Floormaster, Link & Epona, Aveil, Anju, 'Endgame' Link, Saria, Prof. Shikashi, Adult Malon, Young Malon, Poe Collector, Rauru, Postman, Guru Guru, Zora v2, Zora v1, Elegy Zora, Manny.

Front Middle: Mad Scrub, Lake Scientist, Grog, Saria, Poe, Deku Guards, Skull Kid, Dead Hand, Toto, Stalchild, Elegy Link, Elegy Deku, SSB Samus.

Front Row: Hylian Shield, Mirror Shield, Hover & Iron Boots, Megaton Hammer, Master Sword, Gerudo Sword, Venomian Tank, Snowspeeder, Broken Giant's Knife, Predator Pistol, Postman's Letter, Arwing, Majora's Mask, Bolse Defence Outpost, Grog's Bag, AT-PT, Gossip Stone, Master Sword in Pedestal, Boss Key, MM and OoT Chests.

The majority are designed by me, with about 14 being other people's templates. This pic doesn't include test/fail builds or other models that have since fallen apart.

Hi everyone,

in the last weeks i worked on a new papercraft model. And here is the outcome! It is Kakashi from the well known anime series "Naruto".

I am very astonished how detailed and original he looks. It is like he just jumped out of my computer screen ^_^

Since I was six or seven years old I wanted a figure of Guilmon, one of my most favourite Digimon.
That's why I startet with papercraft now :D
And it made a lot of fun to build him, I think I will make a few more papercrafts :aww:
but first I'll try to make a plushie of Guilmon as well :XD:

This papercraft is just made by me, not designed by me!

Here is my newest papercraft that I made ^^ It's guilmon from digimon. It's pretty big (like 25 cm hight, thats 9,8 inch)
The inkt on the paper was really irritating me because the printer is acting somethimes strange. So you will maby see some white spots when you click on the picture :C
I hope that you like it!
