Right now I'm devoured by painting huge forest scene for one of my clients.
I get kinda bored today by painting all the grass, branches, leaves and overall forest foliage so I had to make some hard edge stuff ;]

Here's the outcome.
Hope you enjoy it.

I routinely have a few images floating around on my hard drive that I am never satisfied with. I keep tinkering with them a little here, a little there.

I've been fiddling around with this one long enough - so time to post! :)

(Edit: I made a minor adjustment to the background and re-posted the image)

Another destination in my series of exo-planets...

The inspiration for this image is my ongoing fascination with off-shore oil platforms.

This is a 3D scene that I painted into to add a lot of the fine details (like the tiny lights, astronauts, and distant ships).

The 3D was modeled and rendered using Lightwave 3D. The textures were painted in Photoshop.

Another variant resulting from just playing around with some custom brushes. I don't know what that "Great Wall" is - but it looks fairly large (at least to me) :)

Another speedy. Taking into account the comments you guys left me last time, I tried to focus more on the subject matter and add some elements to convey scale. Hope it's better like this =D

Wanted to submit this to SDJ speedpainting group but it took me more than 60minutes >.0 more like.. 3 hours, again.

A foundry on an offworld Colony - thinking about Riddick.

Let me know what you all think, last crits really helped me push the limit further!

Inspired by Craig Mullins, like pretty much all of my works; he's just too awesome.

Wow, I haven't that much fun painting in ages.

I stumbled upon two awesome new things--Jaime Jones's brush set, and a recently developed shape technique that Sparth came up with a few months ago.

All I did was make one custom shape and started experimenting with Sparth's application for it--namely to create detailed environment sketches very, very quickly. Also, Jaime's brush set absolutely owns anything I've used before, and I can't wait to play with it some more.

Edit: Here's the link for a rundown on Sparth's shape technique.

A piece I promised for a friend, she's translating the Spanish "part 2" of the Sleeping Beauty story, which involves an evil mother in law and other scary things, and she needed a cover for the final version that she's hoping to print out all professional-like.

Took a little too long, but the lasso tool is so much fun aaaaahhh

Now back to work that will actually make me money.
