Right now I'm devoured by painting huge forest scene for one of my clients. I get kinda bored today by painting all the grass, branches, leaves and overall forest foliage so I had to make some hard edge stuff ;]
This mornings speedpainting. See if I can keep up 1 a day XD. Doubt it but still, here's today's one. Think i'll be working with these colors a lot more! A foundry on an offworld Colony - thinking about Riddick.
Let me know what you all think, last crits really helped me push the limit further!
Inspired by Craig Mullins, like pretty much all of my works; he's just too awesome.
I stumbled upon two awesome new things--Jaime Jones's brush set, and a recently developed shape technique that Sparth came up with a few months ago.
All I did was make one custom shape and started experimenting with Sparth's application for it--namely to create detailed environment sketches very, very quickly. Also, Jaime's brush set absolutely owns anything I've used before, and I can't wait to play with it some more.
Edit: Here's the link for a rundown on Sparth's shape technique.
A piece I promised for a friend, she's translating the Spanish "part 2" of the Sleeping Beauty story, which involves an evil mother in law and other scary things, and she needed a cover for the final version that she's hoping to print out all professional-like.
Took a little too long, but the lasso tool is so much fun aaaaahhh
Now back to work that will actually make me money.
