I find it hard to believe that this picture on the wall is everything

I do understand all the prayers, life is so sharp and hurts so bad

The four great elements of your body are collapsing one into the other

It feels as if you are being crushed by mountains

The light of this world has faded completely

But the light of the next world

Has not yet appeared

THANKS TO GOJIRA. DOWNLOAD FOR 1920x1200.

Illustration: Justin Maller

Concept artwork created for Nike apparel: Kobe Bryant aka "The Black Mamba".

I was commissioned by Nike in June to create artwork for LeBron James' apparel line. After completing that piece (which I can't release until end of 2011!), I was asked to prepare this Kobe piece for his line; sadly I missed the deadline for the 2011 apparel run. Definitely a dream job for me, as I have been playing ball since I was 6, follow the NBA passionately and have a fairly massive sneaker problem.

Uploaded wallpaper version per some requests!

JUSTIN MALLER for THE DEPTHCORE COLLECTIVE CHAPTER XLII "OBSOLETE".

This is the second in an unfinished trilogy. I set about creating the machines that would hunt and exterminate humans that had fled the concentrated slaughter in the cities.

Very excited to announce the Depthcore relaunch, featuring the new chapter, a new site design, and a new content rich format. Check it out!

The Fall Tree

I am quite happy with how this artwork turned out :-) Tree planted with ContextFree (fractal software), manipulated in Photoshop. Leaves gathered on the street and scanned :-)

I have been overwhelmed by work recently, and not able to draw new wallpapers. However, I wanted to share this photo as I think it makes good background - this is one of fountains in my town. Camera: Canon 400D, lens: Sigma 30mm/1.4.

Found this new piece of sandy beach exposed by low tide. Normally, this is a very unwelcoming marshy shore. A couple of interesting things going on here. First, can you see the heron? A storm was coming in from the left, but thankfully it didn't make it fully across the frame to hide the sun.

Inspired by the latest episode of Symphony of Science. Watch it, and you might tear up.

This weeks theme for *EmoticonOpus was "Matrix Action". Well, I usually think we should be allowed to think creatively on the topic at hand, so I made something that might not even be accepted as an entry for the contest itself, bit I really just wanted to make it like this, and that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

In case you haven't seen the movie, or that it's too horrible to see what it actually is, it's taken from the scene in the originall Matrix movie where Neo wakes up in the big harvesting field, or whatever you might want to call it. The foreground was entirely pixeled, but I used some blurring to add depth to the stalks further back, and I also toyed some with the entire thing in the end to make it look nicer. Concider it photomanipulation for a piece of pixel art.

I really don't know where I should put it, so I'm just gonna toss it into the regular emote category, if any GD feels that it doesn't belong there, feel free to move it. :)

I put a lot of work into this, and it took a lot longer than I had expected, but I'm somewhat happy with the result. Not as good as I wanted it to be, but I hope you all like it none the less.

Oh, and let's hope it's actually accepted into this weeks contest too, eh? ;)

Revision of --> :stfu:

I think this expression is much better fitting for a STFU emote. Why? Cause I think it's hillarious. :XD: You may have your own oppinion, this is what I think it should look like. ;)

This is a collab I've started working on with :icongrungetv: almost two months ago. I really loved his Mandelbulb3D renders, which is why I asked him to create one for me so I could try my magic on it.

This image was really fun to create. I tried lots of new effects and a new color scheme I never used before. Also the setting is different from what I usually do. I figured not everything has to be dark and apocalyptic in the future. :D Even though it looks like it, I must say it's not Tron-inspired. I haven't even come around to watch the movie yet (although it's probably awesome).

I used one texture from =night-fate-stock, the rest is mine or by *GrungeTV. Do check out his gallery, his works with Mandelbuld3D are amazing, you won't regret it!

I recently finished some Seasons of Dexter for the second time and suddenly felt the urge to create another portrait of the "Dark Passenger". Besides, the stock series by ~mjranum-stock is just too good, to not make use of another one.
