Another really quick practise at animating character for 'Wolf'
I could've made this look a lot better with in-betweens, but it's not important. Oh and ignore Jack, The adult - I wasn't concentrating on animating him - so he looks awful. This took a few hours, the animation itself took about an hour (if that) and the 'cleaner' sketch took up most of the time

Got to animate a load of Flash's herd galloping at the same pace for the comic trailer....It's a lot of fun trying to get them animated on model! Vincent's face scrawls around a lot, but obviously that'll be fixed!
Ace looks so small next to this brute! One of Ace's colour frame flicks for some reason...but each horse will be assembled in after effects separately when they're all finished, so no matter!
My finished pencil test for this walk cycle! It's not compleatly smooth -- but it's better than I thought it'd be! I'm actually going to colour this and add a background, hopefully I need to finish off an obverdue comish before that happens tho! I think my art block is gone too! Joy!
Hope you guys don't mind me spamming you with penicl tests and short scrappy animations!
Baby Troy is cute, no?
Sorry about the annoying lines -- my stupid craptastic scanner is to blame there...and me also - since I could'nt be bothered to re-scan them
Also, does this loop for everyone? It does on my computer but I'm not sure fi it will for everyone
Even though I said I wouldn't make one, I am apparently not as much a man of my word as I thought I was.
It only been 2 months since my last convention report, but I am vain and weak willed so here it is!
Anyhow, PAX was cool. We finally got to talk about our game, and I also got to wander around and see a lot of cool stuff other people were making. I am probably going to buy all the games on the Cool Stuff Page of this report. Except the wooden plate (which was free and came with food on top of it).
Well, that's about it. Thanks to everybody who visited me, even when I was not actually at the booth; it was a pleasure and an honor meeting you all in person!
Another movie, and again without sound in compliance with dA's policies. But you can watch the musical version here (www.flashplayer.com/animation/… at UGO Player (EDIT: Looks like that link's gone. But it's also here: hyphon.com/games/resanctificat…! There's also some background of the story you can read there. which I will not repeat here.
Anyhow, this one is about as long as Shoo Fly but took much less time to make - one full Friday, I believe. Animating this one was a much more pleasureable experience since it went by so quickly. As you can see, I used some of the same techniques from My Neighbors the Yu's, including the same paper texture (though a bit more transparent).
The movie used some motion tweening (for camera shifts and slow moving objects) and shape tweening (for splashing car-water), but mostly frame-by-frame animation. Well, hope you enjoy!
This felt like a more successful visit this year, probably because I didn't try to do as much and thus did not encounter so much failure. Oh, and also because the people I met were cool. That was important, too.
The Breath of Chameleon cosplayer was , I believe (I did not confirm this, but I'm thinking so since it is unlikely there were two people cosplaying as Lyle Perlin. Then I would be sad for not having found the other). It was really cool, and even had the bad skin thing going on. Thanks for letting me see one of my brain-children in the flesh before I meet an untimely death!
One of these days I'm going to have to try to set up a table at the Artist's Alley. Even better if I can like, make something useful and/or cool. And sell it.
DISCLAIMER: This report is about 20% accurate, with many of the things that were said and done in the pictures being completely made up by me as I was making this.
